This restaurant…read moreis owned by an adorable family, the husband/wife couple served us tonight themselves and with smiles and clearly genuine about their food. Initially there was no seat available and they offered one in 30min so we came back and SO glad we did! Full of friendly and happy locals so you know it's delicious. I had one of their home made bolognese pastas and my husband the pizza, both perfect. Excellent price and portions. We are coming back tomorrow, our last day!

What was shocking was the snarkiness and rudeness of her reply. Explaining we should have know that before we sat down but really there were no signs. So we paid our bill and left. As did the table of two right beside us for the very same reason. I do understand it's the rule of restaurant and that is not my issue. It's the absolute rudeness and dismissiveness of the proprietress that earned the 2 stars.

I have never encounter anything like that before and we have been around the world as we travel a lot. I do not know what the issue was with them and needless to say we left very disappointed specially since our hosts recommended the restaurant to us.

Gravures de paysages, affiches de cinéma : le tout est très hétéroclite, et dépaysant. Ici, les plats de pizzas, pâtes, et autres spécialités du pays sont servis sur de belles nappes à carreaux. Si elle n'est pas dans une des rues les plus passantes d'Avignon, elle vaut pourtant bien le détour.
