Great place to get a mani pedi! The nail artists are really good with shaping and SNS which is what I get. The SNS catalog is a little limited but there's always gel if you want something more specific. They are good at executing on whatever you want done and I always leave happy! They're always busy bc it's a great spot! read more

La Vie nail spa is super clean and the minute you walk in, you are asked to wash your hands! This was my first visit and having loved form the Houston area, I'm in search of my new home salon. I met a friend here who comes often, so I was willing to try! Overall, the services were good... I got a gel pedi with hot stones $50 (plus the extra charge to remove the previous gel). Ivy was very sweet and my pedicure looks great! Unfortunately, I needed my nails done as well but the dip powder selection was minimal and nothing matches my new pedi color... I wish Inhad this information prior to choosing a toe color... My nails were ok... nothing terrible but nothing over the top great... I chose a color that would compliment my toes and decided me on a minimal design to jazz it up for the holiday... $124 before tip for both! Definitely more than my precious home salon but I wasn't "wowed" by anything... Cleanliness 5 stars... price on the higher end, salon was quiet on a Monday and the techs were friendly. I wouldn't drive 40 min again but if I'm in the area in the future I would pop in for a pedi read more

Came to this spot in hopes to get a nice manicure and pedicure, unfortunately this was not the case this place is very unprofessional, unclean and the women have the worst attitudes even when you're nice. I went to this nail salon hoping to treat myself for Thanksgiving, something I only do once a year, but I left feeling disappointed and upset. The customer service was terrible. I was recommended dipping SNS with tips by the receptionist, but as soon as the manicurist arrived, she didn't greet me and approached me in a way that felt rude and unwelcoming. She told me I was looking at the wrong color book, even though it was the staff who handed it to me. Instead of understanding, she gave me so much attitude and rushed through the entire process. My nails are okay. She kept pushing my hand down every time she would finish a nail. I only tipped because I'm just not that type of person to not leave a tip. I've never had such an unpleasant experience before. I can't recommend this place to anyone. read more

Terrible experience. The place was dirty, and the employees told us what we wanted as opposed to listening. My older daughter's nails were bubbled, and had missed spots, and we ended up having the entire tips removed. The employees told a girl sitting next to me that they wouldn't do what she wanted, and insisted on giving her what she didn't want. We left with the wrong colors, totally naked nail beds and stickers as opposed to actual nail art. 10/10 do not recommend. read more

Manis and pedis are treats for many people, and you want to feel relaxed. Alas, I did not get that here. Instead, I felt very rushed in the whole process, in part because they were crowded. That said, I had called earlier to ask for an appointment and came at the designated time, so this was entirely on them. I also was the victim of the unnecessary upsell it seems. I went for SNS nails, but I got talked into professional press on nails, which I only learned were done the same as gel (except with even more UV light) after she had started applying them. I wanted to avoid the UV light, so it was disappointing. They are also $12 more than SNS, too. I also kept asking how long they last, and she would just say "long," which isn't really helpful. I asked if as long as SNS or gel, and she'd say "long." So far, I am 2 days in with no problems, but we'll see in 2 weeks what they are like. The service part of the manicure was lacking, unfortunately. For $65, I expected more of a manicure experience, but it was clear they were trying to get as many people in and out as possible The nails are more square than I wanted them, and when I noted that one thumbnail was crooked, she got a little offended and said she wasn't done (even though she asked me what I thought). Unfortunately, I can still see how that thumbnail remains slightly crooked. The polish looks nice, and I have gotten compliments. She did not address my cuticles at all, and there was no massage to speak of, just a tiny bit of lotion applied in 15 seconds per hand. While this place is convenient enough for me, I think I will keep exploring options for manicures in the future. They aren't terrible, but I expected more for the price. read more

I recently visited La Vie Nail Spa and had an amazing experience! I got SNS nails, which cost $45, and the service was exceptional. The staff was friendly and attentive, making sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. They cleaned up my cuticles and gave me a little hand massage when I was done. My nails look fantastic, and I couldn't be happier with the results. I'll definitely be returning and highly recommend La Vie Nail Spa to anyone looking for top-notch nail care. I really like how my nails came out! I asked for a French ombré. Usually it's hard for my nails to come out well with acrylic since they're so tiny but I think they look great! My only negative is that they didn't work on my cuticles and were a bit rushed, and it is really expensive! Overall I would probably come back. read more

My nails were done horribly to begin with, within 2 days (where I barely used my hands) they were already falling apart. My nail tech messed up multiple times, and when trying to redo them, made them all worse and every single nail was cracked. Not even a week later and my nails are ruined. My nail tech was rushing me the whole time because she wanted to go home and in turn did a horrible and rushed job. read more

They were nice enough to squeeze my friends and I in but the experience as a whole wasn't satisfactory. Very nice decor but quality of service outweighs any fancy chandelier. When we walked in we were met with a bunch of confused stares and some employee rudely saying "wash your hands". Not even a greeting or welcome first. Also the services are overpriced. I'm not sure if they offer champagne to everyone but we weren't offered anything, but someone who arrived after us was greeted nicely and offered a drink. I will say we are a different race than this other customer. It just didn't make me feel good about being in this establishment. Overall I didn't like it here I definitely won't be back read more

This is my first review on Yelp. Given 1 star because the place was clean. What I didn't like or was upset about- 1. A bad pedicure that left me bleeding on one toe. 2. Unfriendly staff. 3. Really great every time. I've had a few different technicians work on my nails and every one of them has done a great job. I like the SNS manicure, it lasts beyond two weeks. I used to do gel but I found that it would peel up of you spend a lot of time in the hot tub or steam room but with the SNS I haven't had any peeling or breaks. The salon is very clean and modern with many tv screens on which they usually play Netflix. They also offer wine and other drinks. I won't go anywhere else to get my nails done. Five stars. read more

I had gel polish manicure. I already had the previous gel removed. She did a good job in the nails but the massage wasn't much more than applying lotion. She massaged one palm a little. Certainly not worth $40. read more

I tried 4 other salons and was not impressed with any of them and finally discovered La Vie Nail Spa. I was pleased when they gave me the manicure I had asked for at all the other salons. Like the other reviews said it is a little more expensive but for me it was worth it to have a manicure I like in such a clean and comfortable environment. I will definitely be back. My mani is perfect and I can't wait to show it off! read more

This place is very nice and clean which is always great but they charge extra for everything. I understand some things are extra but even to get the coffin shape was extra and my shape was a bit off. Also, some of the nails were bumpy and uneven but I did love the color. They accommodated me and took me in about 30 minutes before closing and were very nice but I probably will be trying some more nail salons to find the one I like. I just moved to Austin so I am sure there are many great nail salons around. read more

The interior is stunning, the staff is very welcoming & accommodating. All three times here my nails have come out looking flawless, I loved the first two ladies who did my nails, the last gentleman definitely rushed, I was with my friend and he finished and left without telling me I was even done and then my friend got a hot towel and since my guy just bounced I didn't so we thought that was lame. Overall though this is my go to salon. Oh, and they offer wine! read more

Every time I've come to La Vie it's a fantastic experience. I've had multiple different techs do my nails and they have all done a great job. The techs are very detailed, take their time, and are always pleasant. They have awesome customer service too. Every time I leave so happy and impressed with my nails. I would highly recommend going to La Vie. They're pedicures are fantastic and they always have clean equipment and a clean shop. They are also reasonably priced. $42 for SNS, removing my old SNS polish, and they soak and cut your cuticles. In the photo below, Patrick was the tech who did my nails. read more

So Hubby and I found this on a whim through Yelp. We hot there and were greeted by a gentleman and were asked which service we wanted. We both got the reg. pedicures. The lady that I had was very nice and even helped me pick a color for my skin tone that I must say I would have never thought to choose, but I LOVE IT!! . MY Hubby also got a pedicure however was not pleased with the lady etc. Then she just got up and left and never asked him if he wanted like a clear polish etc. So he sat their while I finished and I was moved to dry my toes and he was still sitting there. The establishment was very nice and upscale. This is their 2nd location from what I was told. Overall good experience but to pricey read more

This salon is so clean and beautiful! I got a mani/pedi for the first time here and it came out absolutely perfect. They recommended the SNS and I'm really happy with it. The shape and blending on the ombré came out amazing and they paid attention to every detail. Such great customer service too! They offer drinks (wine!!!) and are so friendly. I wish I got the name of the nail tech that did my nails. He was super nice and was super detailed! He was carefully making sure all the nails where the same length and shape throughout the whole process and they're all very smooth and shiny. Their store is very nice and clean, the futile cutter he used on me was even in a sterile packaging! 10/10 will definitely come again! read more

I was very excited to try this salon as it is really close to home. The Good: It's new, so the salon is nice and clean. They have about 16 pedicure chairs and the manicure station is in the middle of the salon. The staff are very friendly. The Not So Good: Pedicures range from $34-$80. I am not a pedicure snob--I just like a basic pedicure with a great massage, and can get this many other places for a lot less. Manicures start at $20. Because of the cost, I doubt I will return, but if you don't mind paying more, you'll probably really like this place. read more

Nice salon and the tech was really nice but the main reason for my 2 star review is the pricing. I got a basic gel pedicure and before tip it was $57. I was shocked - I get gel pedicures frequently and the max ive ever paid was $45. They also charged $36 for the pedicure and the remaining amount was gel polish removal and gel polish - a whopping additional $20+. The pedicure was good enough but I've had way better for way less. It seems we're paying for their fancy chandelier. Definitely won't be back as a pedicure shouldnt be $67 with tip. Ever. read more

I strongly recommend the European facial!!! I had Jackie as my esthetician and I was highly impressed, I'm not someone who is easily impressed. She did an amazing job at paying close attention to detail on my face, especially in my trouble spots. She took her time and made me feel important and I will definitely plan to go again to see Jackie. Her services were way more than I had anticipated way more than I expected and I am fully 100% satisfied with the facial she provided on top of the massages she was very friendly, very polite, kind, she wasn't rough, she was all the things you want when you go in for a facial for a spa day, me time relaxation! For 60 bucks totally worth it!!!! I hope they don't change the prices and I really hope they can give Jackie a bigger room she deserves it! I've really tried liking this place because it's so convenient to get to. They're just not friendly at all, especially the owner. As soon as you walk in there is no smile or hello, just "Go wash your hands." I also think it's overpriced for the quality of work. I wouldn't mind paying this if the service was amazing, but it's just not. My polish always lasts longer when I go elsewhere. Also, be sure to call and confirm your appointment BEFORE you go because I've been turned away a couple of times because they've made mistakes with bookings. No apologies either. read more

Love this salon. This nail salon is new, beautiful and very clean, (really important to me.) The nail techs are friendly and talented. They really want to do a good job. I have enjoyed each tech I have had. As other reviews have said, it does cost more than the average salon, but I enjoy the experience and am willing to spend the extra money. I would encourage those giving it a try to make sure they understand the full cost of what they are getting. I was surprised by some extra charges my tech forgot to share with me ahead of time. I assumed what I picked would be included in the price of my main service and it wasn't. (I wanted a sparkly nail color and the sparkles cost extra.) I didn't mind, but was surprised at check out. We had called in earlier to make sure it was okay that we brought our dog with us assuring them he would only be sitting in my lap. They told us it was going to be a 30 minute wait. After 15 minutes 2 other groups came in the waiting area and were also told a 30min wait. After an addition 20 minutes of waiting, the other groups had been seated and somebody was starting their manicures. read more

I usually see Tom for my pedicures- he's amazing. One of the best massages Ive found in the area. He hasn't been there the last couple of times I've stopped by ( I hope he didn't quit), so today I had someone new do my pedicure. It was the absolute most rushed pedicure I've ever had. She didn't ask what kind of pedicure I wanted from the menu, so she just did her own thing. It wasn't even the same as the basic pedicure- I've had that one there. The massage was 3 minutes and just not good. It's so hard to find a place that does good foot massages and quality pedicures, so I will probably give them another chance. But only if Tom or the owner is available.

Price was great, foot massage and hot stones were great, and the ladies doing the pedicures were kind and courteous. It's a small, simple place without a lot of bells and whistles, but quite honestly I don't need all the giant chandeliers, marble floors, and fancy drinks. A great job on my nails and kind customer service are what matter most to me. I'll definitely come back here next time I need nails done or want to treat my mom or a friend. Please note: they do not accept tips on your card and did not offer eyebrow waxing on the morning we were there. I thought I saw a waxing room on my way to wash my hands, so maybe it's just a staffing situation.

Tons of bubbles, weird pink color, really cloudy, thick and started lifting within three days.

This is the second time I've come in,…read morewith an appointment already set and had to wait at least 30 minutes so I was able to have one of the services due to running out of time. My pedicure that normally takes at least 30 minutes was done in 20 and you can tell because the polish and cuticles are messy and the nails are crooked. Disappointing because it's so close to my house and I used to feel like I got good service here. I did mention that I think the polish job was done a little too quick and that it was bumpy and all that was done was an extra coat on top so most likely it's going to take my nails a whole day to dry, which I don't have. When I wake up in the morning, they are probably going to be even more messy. I will say, everyone here is very nice, but the lack of attention to schedule I think is causing the problems. I will not be back.
