This is a great nail salon, but it is appointment only. The salon is very organized so it may not be the place to go on a whim. The staff is sweet & sociable. Wonderful, wonderful salon! It's a small, mother-son team, and they are the sweetest, most amazing people. Great attention to detail, my nails came out literally perfect - I've never had that happen at any of the nearby bigger salons. The conversation was lovely, and they took such good care of my two daughters - age 5 and 10. Their nails are perfect too, and they were so kind to them. They have snacks for the little ones and a bird feeder with different bird visitors to entertain them. Very cost-effective and just an all around perfect experience. The yelp listing also states that they welcome walk-ins, but several reviews state that they are appointment only. read more

I have bounced around nail salons for a while. Today, I think I found my new favorite place. I recommend making an appointment. I called the day before and got in no problem. My appt was first thing at 10am when they open. They opened their doors a few minutes early. I was immediately greeted. The place was clean. I didn't feel pressured into getting any upgrades. She did a great job and took her time. She asked if I liked the color I had picked and I didn't. I could tell that she didn't like it either. Usually I hate being difficult but she seemed to want to change it to, so she went and grabbed a new color and I really like what she picked. I will definitely be back here! read more

I rarely have felt so unappreciated as a new customer as I did at this salon. I made reservations for pedicures for me and a friend and a manicure for my mom. We came on time and there was only one tech to do anything at a time, so we waited. That's no big deal, but everything felt rushed. What was really inappropriate is that some regulars came in that the owner (I think he owner, as he seemed in charge) knew by name, and we suddenly became second class citizens. My mom, who had been waiting 45 minutes, had to wait even longer while the regular was immediately seated and tended to by the owner personally. If we had been walk-ins maybe this would be ok, but it was 45 minutes after her appointment time and this other person JUST walked in the door. When a second regular arrived for a pedicure, my technician went into rush mode. After hearing the owner say, "She's almost done," she only massaged one of my legs! The second leg got 30 seconds of massage. At the end, she messed up my big toe putting on my shoe, and instead of fixing it correctly, she took part of the polish off and put it back on, leaving it uneven. And, to add insult to injury, she was in such a hurry she got stuff all over the chair and that left a sticky residue on the back of my knees and I had to go back in and get a wet towel to clean it. All in all, it was disappointing. While it's important to make repeat customers happy, it is extremely unprofessional to alienate new customers. The salon was clean and neat, and I think they probably can do good work, but I am really disappointed by how we were treated as soon as the regulars appeared. One plus was that the woman who finally helped my mom was really good and friendly. read more

I had heard about S&S nails from nextdoor, so we gave them a try when we couldn't get an appointment at another nail place. We called and they had an appointment for my daughter. They were super friendly & Dan was a skilled nail tech. My daughter showed him a picture of what she wanted and he nailed it. Pun was not intended- but it fits! I wish this business would appreciate paying customers a little bit more. I waited over 30 min after my appointment time. No aknolage whatsoever; I just sat until it was my turn--no music, no tv, just dead silence. I was also quoted one price over the phone and when I paid, it was over $20 more than what I was quoted, claiming that my nails were too long. Overall my nails came out okay. Also, they used a different polish than the one I picked for my pedicure. I was too embarrassed for them and the poor service to say anything. I will not be returning. I can spend $100 on a gel fill and a pedicure anywhere where they will appreciate my business. read more

My granddaughter came over for a girls' weekend and I thought I'd surprise her and get our nails done at S&S. I made an appointment knowing that businesses are having to work differently with the Covid guidelines and wanted to support them as a local small business. We were greeted by Dan and Helen with a warm and very friendly welcome and I knew right away that my granddaughter's 1st pedicure was going to be a fun one! We went with the Volcano pedicure which she loved because of the erupting bubbles and fun aroma therapy... and Dan was very gentle with her while I was being pampered by Helen. My granddaughter'a little golden toes with a white flower made her feel like a princess and of course I felt pretty special too!!! Jacqueline completed her fun experience by placing sparkled bows on her golden nails as she gave her a mani. The staff was awesome!!!! With very few safe options out there for a fun Gigi- granddaughter weekend this was the perfect safe, clean and sanitary place to go to and I was very confident that my precious baby jewel was not in harms way. They are health-conscious and require everyone to wear a mask as well as have a shield between techs and customers. The front desk gentleman was so kind and Jackie, my nail tech, was amazing. I got clear SNS dip with gel polish on top. I was unsure of my color choice at first so she painted a few colors on an acrylic nail to show me.
