I visited here with my client at lunchtime during a recent business trip and obviously they picked the place. This also happened to be close to their location and there wasn't much other choice unless you go all the way to downtown. I ordered the beef fajitas, which also happens to be on the lunch menu. The fajitas come on a sizzling platter with onions and bell peppers. The strips are sliced so dang thin, but I quickly found out the reason is because the meat is so tough. I'm guessing this was maybe round steak as it reminded me of my mom's pepper steak as a kid. Someone needs to tell them the proper cuts of beef that are acceptable for fajitas, and round steak is not one of them! The side plate comes with beans, rice, pico, sour cream and guacamole. The refried beans are very white, I almost thought they were using white beans. The rest of the table pretty much ordered either Steak Ranchero or combo enchiladas and they all seemed to like their food. I thought the ambiance was not quite festive like a typical Mexican restaurant you might see in other parts of the US. It was kind of cold and unwelcoming. That might have something to do with our group being seated in the westernmost room of the restaurant. Service was okay, but it did take a little bit to get refills on our soft drinks. First impressions are everything. We were seated for lunch and asked for a drink order so I asked what kind of tequila was in the house margarita and she didn't know it happens I guess but I had to ask her if she would go find out. Most confusing comeback answer that I can just pick one I want. Strange but ok. We order our food I ordered #14 a chili relleno, a taco and chalupa. I specifically asked if the relleno was made with a poblano and was told yes. She had to look at the menu to see what the combo included repeated it to me and somehow I get the completely wrong lunch. I got a relleno, a tostada and an enchilada. I was starving so I didn't say anything. My husband's street tacos were good. My relleno had a tough batter and was NOT a poblano but an Anaheim. Overall not a great experience won't be back. Plus our server was talking to someone a few booths down from us with some inappropriate language. read more

This place is not just good, it's excellent. My wife loved the chimichanga. Said it was one of the best she's eaten. The combination dinner I had (burrito, enchilada, rice, beans) was perfectly made. Ordered beef Fajitas here in October. I could taste nothing but "seafood". Apparently they cook the shrimp on the same grill as the chicken and beef. Big mistake. I hope you have Epi-pens on hand. Someone is going to have an allergic reaction to seafood. This is the second time I experienced this. I was hoping when they changed locations, that they would clean up their cooking methods. The food is great, but I was really shocked they let someone go table to table while we were eating begging for money. Servers walked around him, so it's not like they didn't know he was there. It feels awful to be trapped in your booth by a beggar. read more
