My appointment was for 7:15am. I got off the elevator exactly at 7:00am since that's when they open (as advertised on their website and the listing on their front door) and 3 people were in the hallway lined up. The door to the office was locked. We were not let in until 7:23 which was a bit inconvenient as I had to head into work right after. The waiting area had about 14 seats and the Express Check-in scanner was not working. Once I was finally seen, the gentleman who assisted me was great. My physician picked this company, which I had never heard of. Labs were taken in his office by a phlebotomist. It was an annual checkup and I have a few numbers I need to watch. I got an email to sign into their site. After giving the site my personal information, I set up username and password. It didn't work, even though the password met all their criteria. Uppercase, lowercase, number, symbol, eight character minimum. Of course they had to send me an email with a code. Okay, copied and entered the code. Message that I had not met the criteria. There's no contact method, so I can't find out why. I changed the password 2 more times, making it longer so I could be positive I met the criteria by doubling each one. Still told I couldn't get in, but no reason. Maybe I made a typo somewhere -- name, address, phone number, DOB, whatever, but I couldn't go back to that and see. Or maybe I was too irritated (quite possible. The tool kept repeating I didn't meet the criteria. I assumed that was about my password, but who knows? They cheap out by not having tech support. I mean, there was a thunderstorm a few hours ago. Maybe their server is damaged. Maybe the power is out. I will have to wait til Monday and have the doctor's office email me my lab results. I'm making a bet that they have gotten rid of tech support in favor of a half-baked AI "assistant" who is doing its job of failing at its job. Every company in the world is p***ing off customers with the expectation of getting a huge return on their investment. I'm going to suggest my doctor switch to a different lab. Don't answer here with the standard meaningless response that I've read a thousand times on every review site on the internet. "We at (name of incompetent company) always strive....." Striving isn't succeeding. Using worn out clichés but not fixing the problem only infuriates your customers. No, honey, physicians aren't your real customers. PATIENTS, via their insurance, employers or bank accounts are paying the bills. So wake up. Stop listening to company reps and try your tech garbage yourself before purchasing. While they may open at 7am, the person qualified to administer the test has not shown up yet. Mozzy, at the front desk, is helpful, but she is not in the role of assisting patients with drug testing (new employer requirements), so where is the person who takes on this role? Been in the waiting room since 7am. It's strange how our reviews do not influence necessary changes in the service area. Feels like a government contract that hires workers at the lowest wage possible and continues to add little to no value to the business or the employee's advancement. So, we become stuck and complacent. I'm sure someone will read this review and think of ways to make this a better place to visit, but until we hold the owners of this business accountable, there will be no change. There will also be no change if the workers who show up are not informed about the experience of each person who enters their office. Advocates come on all levels. Making a difference matters when there is a check with your name involved. Or is it that no one cares anymore? I'm beginning to believe that we accept these standards and make it ok for low reviews to stick, and we continue to patronize the business without forcing change. The LabCorp medical office offers many types of care services including fingerprinting which I needed to get for a background check requirement. I was a bit nervous about finding the building but was fairly easy after looking up directions. You'll want to park at the visitor parking garage adjacent to Emory, keep in mind there's a valet service and self serve parking entrance. For appointments under 30 minutes it's free but for more than 30 minutes to an hour it's a $4 parking fee. The office is located on the 14th floor. You will see signage after exiting the elevator. The office is tucked away in the corner overlooking the downtown connector. I was able to check in with relative ease. Watch out because the door slams really loud upon entering. It was definitely more efficient and time saving although a bit medium in terms of quality. I was satisfied with the service. The staff was friendly. The fingerprint experience was fine, I had to take multiple scans and it was relatively fast. It's a small office but they offer all types of care including screenings for employment. In terms of way finding, plan to get there early to look for parking. And when you enter the building head towards elevators. read more

Don't expect to be able to get any medically necessary swabs, they don't even do oral swabs. Great example of "how can we maximize profits while doing as little work possible?" The parking machine by the exit then charged me $6 and after about 30 minutes when I finally got to the gate cashier I was charged ANOTHER $4 despite being well under the 45 minute allowance and the guy was very rude, blaming it on me saying I never paid while I can clearly see two charges on my account. There's also absolutely no signage or directions, it's located deep inside Emory hospital. Absolutely avoid this place if you possibly can. read more

Got here fifteen minutes early, signed in through the kiosk inside the waiting room. When I was called in the back, although I was by greeted by a friendly staff, I was very disappointed when they did NOT have the test that I needed. Although the test was prepayed for over the phone and should have been their before my arrival. Imagine my disappointment after the bustle of the Midtown traffic and paid parking. It was just a waste of my time due to this lab not being organized. I am glad that this office was able to make a walk in appointment with they're sister office across town in Tucker, which is where I wanted to take the lab test in the first place and was told over the phone that only the Midtown location could provide such testing. Not a bad office however the front desk person could have been friendlier (like the back office staff) , overall not very organized. read more

I was kinda paranoid after looking for the address of the nearest labcorp and noticing the star rating. but all the rest of the locations were also 2 stars. I went with some anxiety, and was greeted by the receptionist and pointed to the kiosk to check in. I forgot my ID, so I was nervous I wouldn't be allowed to get my blood work. The monitor showed my place in line (I was a walk-in, so had no expectations of this being fast). My wait was about 25 minutes, having arrived at 7:45am and there being 5 people in the waiting room upon arrival. During my wait I realized how many people are getting blood drawn here daily. At least 100. The others are there for UD screens. You certainly cannot please everyone in Atlanta.. and most people aren't going to right a review that their lab experience was "the normal lab experience". So when people have a vein that cannot be found, or a grumpy tech, it seems they post reviews. Those scared me, and I was expecting dirty, unsanitary, attitude everywhere, and to leave wanting to wear long sleeves for a month to hide my bruising... Yet there was no bruising. No hunting for a vein, not even a "pump your fist". She was so fast and kept talking as she drew, those 4 tubes were filled before I looked over to see if she had found a vein. i hope you don't get paranoid like me and avoid getting your blood work because of the reviews. give the statistics some thought.. they do this all day and are very professional e and personable and pain free in my opinion. read more

MOST PAINFUL blood draw of my life, and I've had many due to a condition. The lady basically stabbed my arm with a large needle and pain radiated from my elbow to my fingers and my shoulders for hours afterwards. And then she had the audacity to say "I wonder what I did that it hurts so much." She left a huge bruise that took weeks to go away. Please consider going elsewhere. read more

I had to take a pre-employment exam and was instructed to go to LabCorp before they closed, the only thing I was given was the address. I had no clue if this was a independent office or what, so begins my adventure to find the infamous "LABCORP"! I put the address in my GPS and headed out, come to find out this place seems to be located inside of Emory Hospital, so now I have to find somewhere to park and then find this wonderful doctor's office, inside this HUGE hospital. I decided to self park because it was cheaper than valet, depending on how long you plan to stay at the hospital. I parked somewhere very high up and begin my adventure to find this place. I finally find an elevator that works and I promise you everything about this place is confusing and the signage doesn't help much. So the best thing for me to do was to ask someone if they knew where I could find LabCorp, no one was able to help me, not even hospital employee's could help. So for some reason I decide to check out YELP and I found an extremely helpful tip from a fellow yelper that states this place is on the 14th floor, I really wish this was somewhere on the paper I was given but I digress, thank you to fellow yelper "Colette B." So now I have to find out how to get to the 14th floor, I ran into a really wonderful stranger that helped me figure out how to get to the "bridge" so that I could get to the other building. Once I finally found out how to get to LabCorp, I walked in and was greeted by a friendly nurse, I signed in and was quickly administered my test, then I was done. It took me about 15-20 mins to get everything done. I don't have any complaints about LabCorp itself, I just wish it was easier to find. Their check-in kiosk doesn't work. Despite that, for over 20 minutes, no one was at the reception at to check people in. In that time, the only employee I saw was someone getting a patient who just motioned to the 2 broken check-in kiosks when I tried to ask to check in. Finally a front desk receptionist showed up. She threw a clip pad that had been behind the front window at me and asked to fill out. There were only pens in the "dirty bin" and when I asked for a pen to use because there were no clean pens, she said "there's hand sanitizer" and motioned to the wall. She then said, "got an attitude early in the morning!". That was a literal transcript of the conversation -- no exaggeration. The staff is late, dismissive, and overlooking basic sanitation concern at a testing facility in a hospital. The waiting room is crowded with a bunch of friendly people all waiting to be seen and checked in for their appointments, as they are treated like crap by the actual staff. read more

My wife and I have been to this LabCorp three times in the last week, and every visit was efficient and professional. I am very confused by the other negative reviews. Check in is easy at the kiosk (to the right when you walk in). After checking in at the kiosk, the front desk assistant calls you to the front for a couple of signatures. At that time, you sit and wait to be called back. That wait time is excruciating...the longest we waited was 2 minutes!!! Amazing! We never made an appointment online. We always simply walked in, and we were still in and out within 15 minutes. My wife loves Stacy and even asked for her on the second visit. I had D who was extremely comforting after I warned her that I am deathly afraid of needles (I nearly fainted last week at the doctor's office). If I need bloodwork again, this will be my spot! read more

I showed up for a scheduled appointment at Emory Hospital only to be notified at the location that they weren't doing this collection today, and they left a sign on the door stating that information. The sign was written in Sharpie and was hastily thrown up. I understand that people have other obligations and that life happens, but because I had an appointment, I should have been notified so that I may adjust my plans accordingly. If this location knew in advance that they would not be accepting employment screenings today, I should not have been able to book! Now, I have to discuss this 'cancellation' with my employer and drive to the next available LabCorp, which is 30 minutes away. I wish I had the choice to choose quest diagnostics. I would suggest calling the day of your appointment to ensure they are still providing your service. If you have the choice, do the at-home collection or just choose another company. I visited this LabCorp to take a drug test for a new job. The office is located inside the Emory University Hospital Midtown Medical Office Tower. There is parking in a designated lot that is not validated by LabCorp. (I was there for about 40 minutes, and I paid 4.00.) When I arrived, no one was at the desk and there was no bell/buzzer to ring to get someone. I could hear people talking so I yelled, "Hello," four times over the span of about 10 minutes. A guy finally came out and had me sign in. (He left a few minutes later. This may explain why he wasn't too interested in coming to the front. I probably interrupted him packing up for the day.) After the wait to sign in, the test went quickly, and the person administering the test was very professional and polite. I haven't taken a drug test in over 10 years, and it hasn't changed. Tip 1: The door to the office is plain wood with a small sign indicating LabCorp. The office is to the left of the large, glass-walled and brightly lit HealthMart on the 14th floor. Tip 2: I didn't make an appointment, but that is an option. read more

This sign has been posted to their door for over a week. The phlebotomist/nurse keeps coming out to check but none of the appointments are there. They are "booked" 5 days out. The employees, including DeShaun and Larry Bolsnick get to have a grand exciting time at their jobs playing video games on their phones. Why? Because they LOVE turning each person away and doing nothing but socialize with each other since no one shows up. Don't believe me? Check out the attached photo of the empty waiting room. I meant to take a picture of DeShaun chilling on his/her (?) phone but s/he was already being condescending, rude, mean and outright disrespectful toward everyone who walked in. I went for a pre-employment urine drug test, and luckily I was only there for 20 minutes but people had been waiting 90 minutes to an hour! The staff was rude but only because they were understaffed, slammed, and stressed. LabCorp should set this facility up for success rather than having a bunch of people waiting and employees running around with their heads cut off and being short to people waiting. Please do yourself a huge favor and avoid this branch of labcorp since the staff here is extremely incompetent. 1) Staff Entered insurance info incorrectly: I went here to get my second blood work done, sick and fasting. I was told they cannot do service on me since I have a bill of $497.00 past due. I was shocked and asked something must be wrong since my insurance BCBS PPO always covers me almost full. I was refused service unless I made payment and was told to talk to billing regarding this. 2) No record of Payment made I called billing to learn the staff at labcorp had entered my insurance info incorrectly. However my payment hadn't posted so it can't be cancelled. I kept calling for two weeks, payment still not posted. On top my insurance has paid labcorp in full. I thankfully do have a payment receipt but nothing can be done until payment gets posted. Avoid this facility because they are terrible in listening to patient, typing correct info, and entering payment info correctly in the system. Anything else that's bad.... I'm usually very patient as I understand everywhere is short staffed these days but I would never go back to this location. i waited over an hour to be called back, people who were there kept getting Called before me after I was told it wouldn't be too much longer. After I went up to the front desk a second time after waiting an hour, they finally took me back. The front staff also failed to mention that they couldn't testing until a certain time instead of having me wait. When I finally got to the back, she was super confused about the test (it was a simple pre employment drug screening), I was about to pee on myself. And she left the room to see if we could even do the test. I swear I felt like I was in a movie. they do not value people's time and I was late for work. Negative 5 stars. This is the response that I left on the survey Labcorp sent to me regarding my visit yesterday morning. It should explain it all. This was the visit from HELL. The lab tech, Stacy, was extremely rude and unprofessional and HOSTILE to everyone who was waiting FOR NO REASON. It was like she was getting a high from her small amount of power. I used the online app to do precheck for my 7:45am appointment (the first appointment of the day) and wasn't seen until 8:30am. THEN, much to my suprise, the same angry and combative person proceeded to direct me to a chair and set up the blood draw. I couldn't believe that someone like that was actually a medical professional! I was so uncomfortable, and she knew it. She didn't even warn me that she was going to insert the needle because she was more involved arguing with her co-worker about walk-ins and the priority of appointments! When the co-worker left, Stacy proceeded to mutter (very nastily) that people shouldn't schedule appointments between 7-8...knowing full well that I had! I was this womans captive audience for whatever grudge she was bearing. She was vindictive, she was rude, and she was the complete antithesis of what someone working with sick people should be like. Start to finish. There are rabid dogs with more manners than this woman. SHE SHOULD NOT BE IN HEALTHCARE. Stacy is a lawsuit waiting to happen. Stacy's co-worker (I didn't catch her name) kept apologizing about her when I was leaving and even gave me the manager's cell number to report her. I called Ms. Wondritta Brown right there in the waiting room and told her what happened. Then I passed her number out to another woman who was there waiting the while time I was. I'm going to assume that the co-worker is more of an indication of the type of people that Labcorp employs and the Stacy is an anomaly. I can't believe that a publicly traded company the size of Labcorp would actually allow a hostile medical environment. Until I can be assured that this won't happen again, I will not be returning. I have to have labs done once a quarter for the rest of my life, and this location is 2 blocks from my work. Despite that, I will be seeking medical care elsewhere and will be informing everyone that I know and my care team what happened here. The ball is in Labcorps court. You guys need to fix this. You owe your patients a duty of care and it wasn't met. People like that are a liability to your business and the people you serve. However, a paper sign on the door does not help the customer when the hours on the internet say 5:00. When I arrived and saw the sign, but heard laughter inside, I knocked, merely wanting to ask for another location. After reading all the reviews online, I was skeptical but I had been to this location before, so I decided to go again. GREAT customer service. While I don't doubt that some staff on other shifts may be rude, the people I interacted with this morning were anything but that. The lady at reception checked me in immediately and answered all my questions. She was very polite. Benjamin, who handled my blood draw, was INCREDIBLE! I am terrified of needles and when I explained to him that I normally tend to pass out, he took the time to talk me through it, calm me down and keep my mind busy during the blood draw. The conversation we had was great, he's an awesome human. He also let me sit in the chair for a while after the test was done, because I was dizzy. I didn't feel rushed, and with all this in mind, the whole thing lasted 15 minutes - exactly the amount of time an appointment here is supposed to take. I think if you don't come in with an attitude that makes people think you're arrogant or rude, you'll get out of this what you put in. I did my homework, knew what to bring with me, was prepared to wait in case they were busy and more importantly made an appointment (early in the morning, before they'd have a chance to get backed up). read more

Where do I start? I'll start with the bottom line - do not go here. Do not use LabCorp. Save your senses, your time, and your credit card statement. I came here for routine lab work and was greeted with a crowded, stinky waiting room and a nonplussed, completely checked out worker (with filthy nails - just what I want to see at a medical facility) at the front desk. The waiting room was scary and I was afraid to touch anything. I could only hope that a pristine, non-smelly area would greet me behind the curtain. I also hoped that the worker with the dirty nails was not drawing blood from anyone. The wait was horrendous and lengthy (over an hour) and when I went back to have my blood drawn, it appeared clean enough. But I was greeted by another completely checked out staff person who looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there. I just prayed that she would be concerned enough to stick me with the needle correctly. I'm guessing LabCorp is a very unhappy place to work based on how the workers there acted. As I left, the waiting room was still stinky and crowded and devoid of anything that might make your wait more pleasant. No magazines, no television with medical tv on it and no air freshener. Nothing. Weeks after I left the stinky place, what awaits me? A large, strange, unauthorized credit card charge from Lab Corp. Nice. I will never, ever use Lab Corp again. I only went here because my doctor said I could go to another lab if it would be more convenient. Going forward, I will make the ride to my doctor's office for lab tests, rather than experience the laboratory mill environment that is Laboratory Corporation of American. Yuck. I am giving 2 stars instead of one because the people were nice. I went through the process to book an appointment ahead of time. I tried calling to understand the preparation associated with the test and no one answered. I looked it up and it said to fast for 12 hours. I put all of my details in the system including which test I was getting. Upon arrival I was told they didn't have the test. The fact that I took the steps to register beforehand, called ahead (once again no one was manning the phones), fasted for over 12 hours, showed up early, paid for parking, and then was notified that they didn't have the test and was told I should've called before (which I did) is totally unacceptable. I completely understand people are short staffed and short on supplies but I don't think a notification beforehand is too much to ask. read more

I drove around for 20 minutes trying to find the location. There are no signs and Waze directs you to Emory Midtown with no direction of where you need to park or go. My confirmation email had no directions as well. A heads up that the office is in Emory Midtown and what to do when you get there would have been appropriate and necessary. I then attempted calling them 4 times but there are no actual people to speak to. They have 2 numbers, both of which are recordings, with no representatives.
