Absolutely unacceptable experience with Labcorp. I changed my phone number, and now I can't access my online account because verification codes are being sent to my old number. I called Billing--they said I needed to talk to Customer Service in Colorado. I got transferred, only to be told that everything must be done by email. No help, no urgency, no solution. Meanwhile, I need to check my lab results and schedule new tests, but I'm stuck waiting for someone to maybe read my email. It's crystal clear that Labcorp prioritizes billing over actual patient care. They have a number for collecting payments, but nothing helpful for real support. Disgusting and shameful. To the staff & lab techs, you have 5 stars for outstanding professionalism and service. But!!! LabCorp billing department I'd give a -5 stars. I now will be demanding written verification of HHS insurance coverage. The pic attached I received 90 days after blood was taken. Working part-time at minimum wage... simply cannot afford such step costs. It's sad living in a society where profits out weigh one's ability to stay healthy. There is absolutely no excuse for not having transparency communication. The lab work results was completed in 2 to 3 days. Billing 90 days later is just plan stupidity on managements fault. Had my insurance been checked before hand, I could have refused the requested lab tests and save everyone a lot of heartache. I have to include this in my bankruptcy. They really messed up! Horrible experience, this company has gone down the tubes! They did not do all the tests our doctor wanted, they took the blood and all like before, but then the results show they did not do all the tests, they said they sent recollection information, never told us about it, our doctor did, then they said they would send the recollection forms to the location we always go to here, but the lady pam never had any evidence of it. She was flustered, hurt us when taking more blood, we had to use new forms, they never made it right and made these two huge errors, yet they charged our insurance and now we have to pay more copays because of their two errors. This insurance company has gotten really bad now. We have lost confidence in them, so we may need to use a different company in the future. They should not charge our insurance again, not should we have to pay more copays because of their errors. I am not sure what is wrong with Labcorp now, but even the lady that wrote us from the headquarters never wrote back to take care of all these problems. Praying you all have a better experience, they really messed up with us, my spouse and I twice now in one month. They made the same errors twice with both of us. a month ago I received bill from Labcorp stating I had urine test. I called and spoke with Josh from billing to clarify that I never had urine test and he said the bill is coming from the office of Bruce B. Henry, M.D. Labcorp couldn't take my name off. so I called the office of Bruce Henry, and they looked up my account and said my name didn't exist. I clarify to call Labcorp and had conference call with manager from office of Bruce Henry stating my name didnt exist. so I request Labcorp to remove my name and I didn't want to receive second bill. 3 weeks later Labcorp sent 2nd bill and I called them, spoke with Christa. I trheaten to file law suit for fraud if they didn't delete my account. I said that they going to pay me more than you charged. makes me curious how they got my information and charged the bill. Absolute simpletons on billing - my credit rating went down 134 points due to them claiming I did not pay an invoice - here's the kicker - They billed an insurance that I no longer had (for four years). Their billing department is so incompetent that once that happened, they proceeded to send the invoice seven times to a home I had not lived in since 1995!! I have had these same problems with them and I have been seeing the same doctor for 30 years; but these idiots must not know how to read updated info. They said the doctor's office gave them the address and insurance. To catch them in their lie, I asked them what phone number they had for me. They gave me my cell phone which is 15 years old. I said here is my insurance; just bill them. They said they couldn't because they had sent the bill to collections; but they agreed to take it off of my credit report. Lab draw stations are not always staffed with enough help for number of people needing blood work. Too often I have had to leave and come back. Making an appointment does not solve the issue when there are too few places and not enough workers. Most of the workers are great at their job and try. read more

I am a healthcare professional and have to use many many labs depending on patient insurance. My experience with Labcorp is as follows. Disorganized and unprofessional. I had an issue recently with a very rude representative and when I asked for a supervisor he was rude as well. I escalated this to the corporate office and I have left two messages at their direct number. I have received no response. Very few insurance companies lock people into using one lab and if you have a choice I find that Quest is far superior in every aspect. I would avoid LabCorp. If they don't value the feedback and concerns of licensed healthcare workers than it's unlikely they would have any value for the patient population they are supposed to serve. read more

I have my blood drawn every 4 months and have had a bad experience the last two times. I have contacted, now 4 times, through the patient portal my concerns and complaints about one of their phlebotomist. To date I have not had a response from a person or have received a computer generated email. I have an appointment at the end of this month and since, to my knowledge, my doctor's office only uses Labcorp, my hands are tied. I hope for a better outcome this time! read more

Is it the patient's responsibility to ensure Labcorp has the correct address? Apparently so. My family go to the doctors for routine physical or other medical visits every year and we do not keep track which lab the doctor uses nor it is our duty to do so. Two years ago, during one of the visits, blood was drawn in the doctor office from one of the family members. We gave in to "having peace of mind" and four of us got poked at least once a year. At the time, we had no idea Labcorp was involved and worse they had our address wrong. So when a collection letter showed up two years later, it was up to me, the customer, to trace back the healthcare inter-web and to find out where that bill originated from. The process was quite exhausting, I gave up in the end and just paid. With patience, the insurance, the doctors office, and the doctors' billing departments, could be reached, although not much help from them. Labcorp, however, is beyond reachable. I tried and tried, the longest time I waited was 26 minutes. I finally realized they didn't intend for me to ever reaching them, so I went on their website and checked my info on their system. Wouldn't you know it, they had my address completely wrong. IT IS POSSIBLE FOR THEM TO CHECK WITH THE DOCTOR'S OFFICE where they got our address at the first place. Are they too big to check with the doctor or the insurance company if they have the wrong address? A simple doctor visit generated such a tail/tale, it should have been the end of it after we paid bills from the doctor and whatnot. What if someone who does not use Internet or computer savvy and can't correct the personal info online? Would he or she be able to ever correct the billing address mistake in the system? I have called and left several messages to this group. No response so far. Yet they are quick to keep sending me bills and telling me about past due payments. I even went thru my accounts to ensure this was a mistake and it was. I guess they know that it is which is why they refuse to contact me back. i have spoke to lab corp reps on 4 occasions! i have 2 insurances: my primary insurance is #xxxxxxx and secondary #xxxxxxx. despite me given the reps on the phone this 4x's and the lab technician at your location this at the appt, you are still sending me wrongful bills claiming i owe $9.59 invoice #xxxxxx your reps 4x's said disregard the bill we see your 2 insurances in the past and there is no co-pay. your reps also claim you cannot put 2 insurances in the system so i have to call each time nonsense as well as this false bill you sent me??? why the hell are you sending me past due notices after you promise all is good? disgrace this horrific nonsense you put me and customers through wrongfully. read more

This review addresses corporate operations/practices. When my insurance would not cover some pricey genetic testing, LabCorp offered me a 50% discount, which I accepted. They required me to sign an advance authorization form agreeing that I would personally be responsible for the cost of $1,447. When I arrived at lab (in San Diego) for blood draw, staff spent 10 minutes trying to figure out what to charge me because the cost in their system came up as 0. Finally, a supervisor explained I will be billed. When I was, the bill was for the full amt.($2,895! I emailed the staff person who had sent me the original doc to sign, and she said she would try but that it was best to call billing dept. I called billing, gave invoice number, and said "so if I give you my credit card right now, how much will you charge me?" Response: "$2,895". I said have documented agreement with LabCorp tor a 50% discount. the rep explained that that's not on file, she has not heard of such paperwork, but she was familiar with 50% discount on this kind of gene testing, and that patients needs to tell billing dept about any discounts. I explained that if's unethical for LabCorp to issue bills for full amount; some patients may have forgotten about earlier discounts and Labcorp could be taking advantage of them. I find this highly unethical. Yes, I got a generous discount, but that's only because LabCorp knows virtually everyone will pass on the 3K costs and would rather make some money vs. no money on the test. read more
