The main issues we are unhappy with are the lack of personal care for us as a family and miscommunications. Right away it feels more like the practice is more interested in the business of Pediatrics rather than the children themselves. We have never felt warmly welcomed there. It also seems like they are in the habit of over scheduling since the wait time (and you have to have an appointment) is crazy , the last visit I left after waiting an hour and a half past my appointment time.The other problem is that there have been many miscommunications, medicine sent to the wrong pharmacy, pills prescribed for a 7 yr old instead of liquid and a misdiagnosed UTI all from 1 visit. They didn't give us any information when we first registered with them about nurse lines or how the practice handles weekend emergencies or even general policies. Information that could have helped a lot when I had issues with the prescription. Any way if your thinking about Palmetto I'd say try somewhere else , I've already requested our records and am hoping to find a practice that truly cares for families and children.

Three white US GOVERNMENT vans pull up and three chained and cuffed inmates are taken into the building. I get that they need medical attention too, but why the heck not schedule them for a time when other folks aren't here? Set up a 3-4 hour time slot, get them done and then open for normal business. Would you want your loved one in there like that? Seems like a recipe for disaster.

How can one have so many negative experiences with no reprimands? First off, first desk, sweet, nurse, sweet, check out desk, sweet... nothing but pleasant experiences from those I encountered. The wait: It was longer than expected. I got there at my scheduled time of 2:30. I left about 3:50. First encountered she came in, spoke and introduced herself. Normal. Nothing off, yet. As a new patient she asked me several questions. Throughout this process is where her attitude shifts and what other review's proclaimed, is exactly what I begin to witness. Why are we being passive aggressive when it comes to one's health? One who is not a medical professional and just providing you with the history from my standpoint and what was established at my prior offices. I am new here so establishing care was essential to receiving current prescriptions. I explained how I was not interested in a screening and she couldn't fathom why. From my understanding, and what I researched in the moment to make sure I was explaining correctly is that your annual CAN be two parts. You don't necessarily need a screening with the Papanicolaou test. One looks for abnormal cells and the other looks for the presence of hpv. I am here for my preventative care. She leaves the room after said sarcastically says "well you don't need a pap smear". Then she returns talking about insurance. She then goes on about women can go up to three years without an annual. Ok great, I pay for insurance so essentially I pay for one yearly and here I am. She then says next time I can "just" do a refill appointment. As a new patient from out of state , I didn't know that was an option or else... I would have. There were some more personal things discussed and she seemed irritated that I couldn't pinpoint what she was feeling. No one questioned her abilities but she mentioned multiple times how they do this every day and how she refers many a day for so and so and how it's not about money... um ok? Upon leaving the room it was some conversation and then she says nice to meet you while I was in the middle of responding to something else. She then steps back and says it again with a tone this time. As if I better respond. The encounter left me uncomfortable and I no longer wish to receive care here. I have since called another practice for some follow up care. I needed an urgent appointment or else I wouldn't have agreed to see her. Now I see why she has same day openings. Very disappointing to encounter a professional with a nice nasty attitude for no reason. I would like to add that she completely changed my prescription which was not discussed. It took my previous doctors and myself years to find something that works for me. I think at this point she intentionally caused me an inconvenience. So frustrating. I have notified the office of her behavior and currently waiting for a callback from the business manager, Jennifer.
