Sure the phlebotomist could've been more warm and friendly but the place was clean and they got me in 10 min after my appointment time so I couldn't ask for much more. It's labcorp, keep your expectations low and you'll be good. Heads up if you come around the time school lets out. There are lots of parents waiting to pick up their kids so it's a bit busy in the parking lot. read more

I've been getting my blood work drawn every week for over a year at various locations across the country and most experiences are fine at best. This location is the absolute worst. Wait times are typically 2 hours. The main desk guy is condescending and patronizing, and most of all not helpful. My results always come back same day EXCEPT at this location where they take up to 3 days. I will not be coming back to this location and instead will drive way out of my way to go to another location. read more

Visited Lab Corp today...so disappointed. Seemed to only have 2 techs on hand and they were very slow (barely spoke English too). Waited 2 hrs to give blood (took 5 mins to give the blood). I won't be back...I'll drive to Sarasota... read more

There was plenty of parking, check-in was automated and simple and the waiting area was clean. I had made an appointment online and was called about 5 minutes earlier asking to see my prescription for blookwork. About 5 minutes after that, right on time, I was seen and had the blood drawn. The person doing it was friendly, professional and asked me if I was ok once or twice while he was drawing the blood. A little show of concern is always nice. The added bonus is he was good at doing this so there was no hunting around for good veins as I've experienced elsewhere. Very pleased with the service here. read more

I usually get my bloodwork done somewhere else. I needed to get my bloodwork done immediately and the other lab had a two week wait. My Dr. told me about LabCore. It was easy to book an online appointment and they had immediate openings. I have since been back four times. The staff is very nice and both phlebotomists were great. I usually end up getting hurt because they can "never find a vein". I did not have this problem at LabCore. They were efficient and I didn't even feel a thing. I will not be going back to the other lab again. I am very satisfied with LabCore. The only negative is that I feel they need more staff. I don't understand how they expect only two employees to run a very busy lab. The phlebotomists do everything there, from checking in patients to making sure the lobby is flowing. At the very least they need to have a full time receptionist and an assistant to the phlebotomists. read more

Another horrible experience. Not even see yet and disgusted with this place. One person, yes, one person doing check in and draws. My 9 o clock spot has now become 1015. Lab Corp is luck the ONLY reason they get patients is due to insurance. Otherwise they would be out of business. read more

Terrible lab. BADLY under staffed. Waited over 45 minutes before realizing they forgot about me (only two employees to handle phones/walk-ins, insurance checks, blood draws, etc.). She forgot to enter my information. After getting in, she took several attempts to find/draw blood from one arm before giving up and switching to the other arm. Never going back there. read more

Worst service I have ever experienced!!! The doctor at the front desk was unhelpful and rude!! My appointment payment wasn't showing up, even though I had a confirmation #, so they asked me to reschedule, which they were unable to do for me or process a transaction in person.... after multiple attempts to reschedule online in my vehicle, there were no more available appointments on the website for the rest of the day. ALSO, they took no precautions in enforcing social distance or safety. As their website had claimed. Customers came in without masks and there were NO temperature checks whatsoever. Absolutely absurd and disgusting. I would NEVER recommend this LabCorp location to anyone. Trust me not worth the risk. read more

I have visited the Venice LabCorp several times. Some of the people there are nice and friendly, but the woman at the reception desk today was clearly annoyed that I interrupted her placing a telephone order for lunch. Two days ago, when I went there, they told me I would have to sign a paper giving up my rights to have my labs paid by Medicare or else they could not do the tests. They said the doctor needed to be more specific with his diagnosis. So, I took the paper and went home and called my doctor, who said he could fax them a new order. He asked me if I knew their fax number, to which I replied that the only document they had given me had a fax and phone number. (The nurse had not given me any other papers.) Apparently, the fax number on their LabCorp form was for billing only--not for the local tiny office here in Venice.) The nurse to whom I spoke today said she had no faxed orders and my doctor should have called her to get the fax number for the Venice facility and faxed it to them because the huge facility in North Carolina did not connect to the local office. So, I called Customer Service at the NC phone number, thinking they could forward my doctor's fax to the local office. Oh no! They were so large a facility and had so many fax machines that they would not possibly be able to forward it to the Venice facility. My opinion is that such a gigantic company that performs testing on so many patients that it cannot even communicate effectively with the public or internally probably should not be trusted to effectively serve a clientele. The reason I opted to go to this hole-in-the-wall lab in the first place was that it was nearby and was never crowded. Well, now I think I know why it is never crowded. I will never go there again. Take heed, Intrepid Patients. I received a supportive call from Customer Service following my posting that made some helpful suggestions. Upon reflection, the receptionist should have given me a card with the local fax number; also, my doctor should have known or found out the fax number for the local lab without relying on one that I told him I was unsure of; and finally, the doctor should set up an electronic relationship (which I understand is quite easy) with local labs so that he can send future lab orders directly to the lab. Of all the staff there with whom I have dealt, they have been friendly and efficient, all except for the one receptionist. Maybe she was just having a bad day. read more
