She updated the PDF every time I made a minute change like changing the color of a ribbon or changing the type of flower. When the flowers arrived on our wedding day, they were even more beautiful than the sample images. We just got back from our wedding a few hours ago, and I wish I'd had the foresight to look into flower preservation because everything was so stunning. We live on a private driveway which is covered by a motion activated camera system so we know nothing came to the house. My mother in law called and had them send the arrangement with instructions to take to front door and ring doorbell. At 10am today (according to video) the delivery driver brought the arrangement to the door and set it on the deck never ringing the doorbell. Todays temperature in maryland this morning is 14 degrees. I was less than 10 feet away from the door when I heard the driver walk up the stairs and then walked away. I brought them inside and my wife unwrapped the arrangement.When she checked to see if it needed water she found that the green foam water block used in flower arrangements was a solid block of ice. We went online to get the contac information for Drayer's and also looked at the arrangement photo online. The one we received looks NOTHING like the photo. On the whole arrangement (shaped like a Xmas tree) there are only 5 flowers. Looking at the photo online on one side we count 7 flowers plus it should have had red ribbon and what looks like Xmas balls. The arrangement has been inside now for 2 hours and 35 minutes and the flowers have already started to wilt from (likely) staying in the truck overnight. I have left my contact information with the florist and requested a call from the owner/manager, We will see if it happens. We have the video of their driver delivering this morning and what the flowers we got compared to what they should look like. I can understand why this florist has such a low rating. very sad for a company that has been in the business for 30 years. The afternoon of the visitation, I texted my friend to offer support and he sent me a picture of what I had ordered. Disappointed and frustrated, I placed a last minute birthday order with a large corporation and tried to put the matter behind me. Well color me surprised when the Flowers & Fancies team sent me an arrangement to apologize for the error. I was shocked, surprised, and necessarily reminded that mistakes happen and it's best to have patience and understanding, especially for local, well meaning businesses. We chose this tall elegant designer's arrangement and I asked Lisa Fiore to choose red, white, and blue flowers, because the deceased had been in the army and had also been a police officer after serving in the army, and we wanted to commemorate his commitment to service, and when I called I shared that I was fine with spending over the $150.00 price to include red roses, and no carnations or baby's breath, and to charge separately for the tax and delivery charge, along with adding gratuity. In this arrangement, the serenity of the color blue and the purity of intention symbolized by white let our family know that we were sending our calm strength to them during these difficult times. Beautiful blooms included blue delphinium, white lilies, and alstroemeria, along with red roses, eucalyptus, limonium, and more, beautifully arranged in a dazzling cobalt blue vase. I asked to include a second arrangement Two Dozen Long Stemmed Red Roses by BloomNation™ Custom Sympathy Arrangement - Premium for the deceased wife to take home after the services, with the red roses matching the red roses that were in the custom red, wite, and blue arrangement. I very much appreciated the florist's empathy and care in creating two arrangements that were at the wake, the church service, reception after the burial, and the family's home after the services.
