I would like to take the opportunity to thank Mayer's Florist. As we all know to well Chesapeake's Homecoming was moved due to weather. The Corsage and Boutonniere we purchased from Mayer's was stunning and looked perfect on the original date. When ours looked less than ideal the rescheduled night. Maher's Florist has always done a great job with flower arrangements that we have ordered- for several different occasions.

As a rule our family doesn't buy flowers much so I was surprised when my husband sent me flowers for our anniversary. At first look the flowers were nice but my husband wasn't happy when he saw them - he said they weren't what he ordered. The florist did send him an email claiming the flowers he wanted weren't nice so they replaced them with another arrangement. I'm not sure if this is a normal practice or not also was charged over $10 for a delivery charge- we live maybe 2 miles away if that. Of course this may be normal since we don't order often. I will say I do love the cute vase they used but my problem is it's be 6'days and the whole arrangement is dead! The flowers started dying the 2nd day. If these were their "nice" flowers I'd really hate to have seen the bad ones. Don't think we would ever use or recommend this florist to anyone. read more

Hands down best flowers I've ever received. I've used the florist to send flowers for viewings, & holidays, flowers were always beautiful but never received anything I didn't pick out specifically myself. My husband surprised me for the 1st time in 10 years with a delivered arrangement. The driver was so personable, I was so excited he seemed to share in my joy & waited till I read my card and commented how nice it was of my husband. Such a sweet gesture, nice to not have him Just walk away like most do. However I need to comment on the quality of flowers. Not only was the arrangement gorgeous but the flowers were so fresh that I was able to enjoy them for so much longer than I expected. He told me when he called the lady that took his order was so helpful, didn't rush him and even seemed happy he was sending them for no reason even asked him enough questions that he didn't feel Lost ordering. She wouldn't except just give me an arrangement for "x" amount of dollars he said - she wanted it to be special. I wish more businesses would have this kind of consideration!! I ordered an arrangement for my niece's funeral. I paid $20 additional for the premium arrangement. The description said it would have a "wow factor" with additional flowers, I requested bright summer colors. I received a replica of the traditional arrangement with no bright colored flowers The shop quickly responded to my complaint with a 20% refund. That might sound good but basically they charged me for the traditional arrangement after blowing the order. I expected more. Additionally, it makes you wonder how often people pay for an upgrade and never know they didn't it. read more

Being I'm not local to the Pasadena area I selected this florist based on yelp reviews and I wish I had stuck with my original choice. I sent my mom flowers for her birthday & even ordered them a day in advance but they were not delivered until 5pm delivery day. I have high expectations in general but 5pm is far too late for a florist delivery. My mom was out to dinner and so the flowers were left with the neighbor. Meaning that she did not receive them on her actual birthday. I had called concerned around 4pm and was told they didn't receive my order and not to use their website as it's faulty. I'm sorry but you should dismantle your site if you've no confidence in it. The woman on the phone was very nice and called back to let me know they did indeed receive my order but I was turned off from the whole experience. We received an arrangement for my grandmother's funeral today that was supposed to have 2 dozen white roses and 2 dozen red roses. However it was missing a dozen white roses and the white dozen that was included looked like the last dozen in the place. They were brown around the edges. So disappointed. Maher's did the flowers for our Gibson Island wedding. The flowers were fresh, beautiful, on time and competitively priced. My one gripe is that they charged me $70 to drive a small ($500) order from Lauer's Plaza to Gibson Island. When I balked at this, the owner was a bit salty and unwilling to negotiate down from this absurd rate. Unfortunately, I noticed after I'd paid and signed the contract. If I hadn't, this would have blown the deal. Bottom line, give them a try but don't let them shake you down on delivery. read more
