Also the nurses are very nice, caring and efficient. However, the BIG thing that lets this place down is the unfriendly receptionists. They really are old dragons and I can only assume they are either all very unhappy in their work or else they all have chips on their shoulders. No compassion, no cheery greeting - just a cold, steely glare is all they give. I am sure they are all very efficient and get the job done, but when people are sick/wounded/in pain etc, a cheery greeting and a smile can really lift one's spirit. How about it?

It's not the most exciting of buildings, but it's the quality of the staff that is the most important thing. Every time that I've gone here, this place is very busy and bookings are pretty much essential, and even then be prepared to wait for a while. All of the Doctors and nurses that I've seen here are professional, friendly and caring people, and I haven't experienced the treatment that I have received here from anywhere else. I often prefer to make the long drive from the city to go to a GP here instead of booking in at another medical centre around town.

Without exception I've found all the doctors here to be respectful, unhurried, and warm. It's quite a big place with about eight doctors working there, plus a couple of nurses. The waiting room is comfortable enough, without being too fancy (I hate feeling like I need to put my face on to go to the doctor's) or too scummy (we can't have that). The receptionists are friendly and incredibly efficient, even when it's super busy, an conveniently, there's a little chemist downstairs for picking up prescriptions, as well as a blood test lab for getting any requisite jabs. Also, when you leave, you still have some money in your purse!

From what I've heard from friends and family about other doctors, Greenstone seems to be the most reasonably priced even if you aren't a student (under 18's enrolled with the clinic receive free consultations). My family doctor Michael Morrison is probably the busiest (and most popular) doctor I know- he's great with patients and you've got to book a week or two in advance to see him- there's a long waiting line of people just specifically wanting to see him! That's not to say that the other doctors and nurses here aren't great- I've had appointments with quite a few of them and they're always willing to listen and give great advice. Greenstone also provides a place for doctors in training to get a bit more experience in the field. If you give your permission, doctors in training are able to take your appointment while being guided by a qualified doctor. I've been through this a couple of times as I really don't mind, it only takes a few more minutes and it's nice to know I'm contributing to someone's education. The doctors, nurses and staff really make this clinic. They are consistently helpful, thoughtful and give you all the advice you need. I find that you don't get that much at other clinics where its a bit more straightforward and more like a business transaction. It's very family oriented which is a big plus.

I have seen about 4 of the Doctors there now and they are all absolutely fantastic. After coming from a Doctors in Otahuhu at High St Medical Centre I was very unhappy about the service one of the Doctors there offered, I have been extremely happy with my care I've received at Greenstone. The team of Doctors, nurses and admin are all wonderful, friendly and on to it! I am always telling people about this medical centre especially as the level of care in South Auckland is lacking. I highly recommend this Greenstone and give it my highest rating.

It's purely for clinics only. It gets very busy in the modules, but often there are several clinics being run at the same time. These days, lots of medical facilities also want you to pay for car parking, but for the time being you don't here. Long may that continue.
