Her detailed instruction, carefully paired with support, compassion, and pushes to help you grow are all that any aspiring pole dancer could ask for. These classes will help you discover (rediscover) and own a whole new level of sexy confidence you never knew you had. And the workout? Be prepared to feel the burn in every muscle. Students can pay on a per class basis or simply pay $90 for unlimited access to the most fun workouts you'll ever experience. I cannot say enough positive things about this place. They are all accomplished in their particular specialty but even more important, they really think about how to teach well. It is also one of the few integrated dance studios my kid has been to. Another great thing is that Ms. Pam is committed to Brewerytown as a diverse community, and to the arts as an alternative to the violence plaguing our city's young people. She works hard to make dance instruction accessible to all, and her students often perform at events around the city. Yet, for someone with such an impressive set of artistic achievements, she is very down-to-earth. She gets that, while some of her students may aim for the conservatory, others are dancing for fun, and she and her instructors bring out the best in both types of student. Bottom-line: you get great instruction in an inclusive environment for a very fair price. Types of dance offered: ballet, jazz, African, Irish but especially tap.

I've never felt self conscious or nervous to answer questions. She's a great instructor and makes it fun. Definitely challenging- it's a little far of a drive for me, so not sure if I'll be able to stick with it long term but definitely do not regret coming here for my first pole dancing experience!

This place is just different…read more I joined Second Chance Adult Dance School in February 2025. I was made aware of them thanks to an annual event by The Philly Movement Foundation. I attended a dance class preview for free & the class was lead by the school's owner Alyssa. I knew immediately that this place was for me. As soon as you walk through those doors, you're not judged by your age or size or background or level of experience. There is a place for everyone. Everyone was so welcoming. The entire place has an atmosphere of community. The class selections are top tier. The teachers are so warm and willing to answer questions. These last 7 months have been so enjoyable and the accomplishments I've felt have been so rewarding. At my big of almost mid-40s, I now take classes five days a week; I take Ballet, Jazz, Tap, Praise, West African, and Hip Hop. I also take PBT (pilates + ballet) & their Stretch class. All beginner level and I moved onto my first intermediate class for Tap. Every week I'm excited to see what is in store for me. As someone who works from home, this place not only gets me more active, but allows me an amazing social connection & networking experience with likeminded individuals. You can tell how much Alyssa loves what she does and she hires & surrounds herself with people who care just as much. I hope I'll be able to participate here so long that I move on over to the "Silver" class for the "more seasoned" crowd hahaha. This place is just different. The space was perfect for the small tea party I'd dreamed of. The tea party sets they have were so cute and everyone raved about the black mango tea that was served! They even honored me with a gift that was so full of life as I head into this new season of my life. I look forward to taking some yoga classes here in the future. Great place for parties and events.
