I didn't believe in Superman--at least not until I hired Leo Yeager after a broken valve in my…read moreattic flooded three floors of my home. From day one, Leo took charge, dealing directly with the insurance company and sparing me countless hours of stress, frustration, and uncertainty. He guided the claim process every step of the way and remained involved for months until the restoration was complete. What impressed me most was that Leo's help went beyond the insurance claim itself. When I had no idea where to begin with the reconstruction, he recommended a builder who did exceptional work and restored my home to a condition even better than before the flood. A major disaster became a manageable process because of Leo's expertise, responsiveness, and advocacy. I can't recommend him highly enough.

We hired Leo as our public adjuster for a complex insurance claim. Leo was the least professional /…read morecompetent service provider I have ever interacted with. He didn't add value to the process (despite his enormous fee), and his negative attitude made an already stressful process even more unpleasant. He failed to live up to any of his customer service promises. Simply stated, I would never hire or recommend him to anyone else, even if his services were free. Leo displayed an alarming lack of understanding/recollection of our claim, missing major items (totaling nearly $100K). He couldn't be bothered to review pictures, claim documents, etc. to identify major missing items--that burden fell entirely to me and my family. Leo was not an effective or eager advocate on our behalf. He was consistently argumentative and demeaning. He reminded us on several occasions that he was "too busy" to keep our claim straight with all of the other things he had going on. To illustrate, below are 2 examples (of many) that show his carelessness and lack of attention to detail. 1) After Leo suggested (based on his "17 years of experience") that we should take the initial (very low) offer from insurance, we asked why there was no allowance for packing/storing all of the contents of our home. He said "that should be in there," but when we pointed out that we didn't see it, he said "oh, insurance must have taken that out--I had asked for it originally." So either Leo asked for it and failed to notice that they mistakenly didn't include it, or he forgot to ask for it but didn't want to tell us that. I'm not sure which is worse, but in either case, there was a very obvious $20K item he missed that was only discovered because we reviewed the 40 page insurance estimate in detail. No apology from him either--it was as if we inconvenienced him by discovering his major oversight. 2) Near the end of the claim, we sent Leo a document with ~15 open items we felt needed to be addressed (including pictures and original receipts). Rather than reviewing the details and thoughtfully responding, he replied that our asks were "frivolous" and "ridiculous" and that he no longer wished to continue representing us (and further demanded his payment in full and threatened with imposing late fees if we didn't pay him, despite the claim not being settled yet). After discontinuing our relationship with Leo, we submitted those same questions directly to the insurance carrier adjuster. After a pleasant 30 minute conversation, they approved 14 of the 15 items (an addl.~$50K). This made it abundantly clear that Leo was the issue all along. He either didn't understand the details of our claim sufficiently, or was an ineffective communicator with our insurer, or was uninterested in investing the extra time it would take to reach the appropriate settlement and just wanted his "cut" so he could move on to the next. If you are thinking of hiring Leo, I would strongly suggest either not hiring a public adjuster at all or hiring someone else. Leo was an expensive, ineffective, and frustrating headache, rather than a competent and knowledgeable advocate who made the process easy and fair.

Was told I had to board up house before I could leave and out of the vultures that were there I chose one who seemed honest and helpful. However, the person that was there was not the business owner. Only a worker bee. After signing with no knowledge of such events, they proceeded to do things that were not in my mother's best interest. My mom passed- (89) - I am over 70 now. So entire episode was senior abuse. Redo was slow and painful. They did nothing by the books with new castle County- even getting an electrician from NJ to install HVAC. No license in De. He couldn't get it approved by NCC. - gave me no choices in anything - lights, fans, paint color, etc. although office said I would be getting calls regarding everything. Workmanship was crappy. I asked for floors to be left with original wood. I did not ask for them to be varnished over top of stains. This entire procedure will be 2 years old in February. I had to discharge them from the job. Then hire someone new to complete process. I had to pay from my pocket. Mr Arnold seems to feel he is entitled to total insurance claim with shoddy work and no statements from people he hired to do work. Any more details, just write- there are many others. Senior abuse at its finest.

Which was when I found Steve and he represented me and my claim to the insurance company and he got me a settlement from State Farm!! I was stunned and thankful. I wasn't expecting it because they had denied me twice before I found Steve at Loss Adjustment. After having been through a traumatic experience in my home and then having the insurance company deny my claim twice I felt angry and even more violated. I pay the insurance company every month and they seemed only interested in not covering me and my home. Thank God there are adjusters like Steve Fayer around who will truly represent my interests and make the insurance company pay out when things happen which are covered by insurance.

My insurance company set me up with Sure Kleen but then ended up paying me out so I could hire anyone I wanted. They came out in October to give me an estimate and I had to keep rescheduling them for months until the plumbing was resolved. I got two other quotes that were both over double what Sure Kleen quoted. Every time I called to reschedule they got me in within 48 hours. They were finally able to complete the job in January. I was expecting to pay more because there was more water coming in every day and there was definitely more damage than when they originally came in. From Mandy in the office to Vince in scheduling to AJ doing the actual job and Elijah picking up the equipment and doing the final readings, I have had the most exceptional service. The job ended up taking two days and they were just perfect in every way. I will use them again when I'm ready to get my drywall and floors replaced without a thought. This whole plumbing issue has been such a nightmare but Sure Kleen was the only bright spot. Cannot recommend enough!

Dont hire unless you're prepared to have them hire attorneys to intimidate you when they mess up…read moreand you want an adjuster who fights you harder than they do the insurance company. I would've been better off saving 20% of my payout and arguing the claim myself. You hire an adjuster to alleviate stress and liberty doesn't do that. 1. Took over a year and still no payout. 2. Went a month with NO responses to me or to insurance co. 3. Many times insurance co had to follow up with them to ask what's going on. 4. Advised me to demo my bathroom on my own dime and to take on 100% of the liability with no guarantees, anything in writing, to be reimbursed. 5. After Doug dropping the ball Mike & Corinne reassured me my claim would be their top priority. Corinne went unresponsive for 2 weeks with no prior communication. Claims I emailed right before she left and right after she returned which is why I didn't get an away email. Took her 2 weeks & insurance asking what's going on to send a 140 word email. 6. Don't take accountability for where they lack and make lots of excuses. Ex: bad reviews are attributed to prior partners, delay of my claim is because I refuse to take on full liability and cost myself, no email response because of when I emailed. 7. Mike and I came to a mutual agreement, asked me to send the email confirming this agreement, then hired an attorney to respond to me in an attempt to not follow through with the new agreement.
