In reality, after a month of lowball offers, deals falling apart, and absolutely none of the promised bidding-war fireworks, he suggested we reduce the price even further , despite similar homes, many not nearly as nice as ours, selling for more. We were completely perplexed. Every time we asked what was going on, there seemed to be another explanation about something supposedly wrong with the house, but never much acknowledgment that maybe , just maybe, the strategy itself wasn't working. At some point, when your beautiful home starts being treated like the last dented can in the clearance aisle, you know something has gone sideways. So we parted ways, took the house off the market for a few weeks, regrouped, and hired Kathe. The difference was immediate. How can you mess up that bad as a realtor to get that far off!! We had to take the house off the market. To make matters worse Samatha extorted us financially. She stated she did not require payment for photos or obtaining HOA docs in our contract together. However, when we took the home off the market she threatened to charge us her commission of $14,000 if we did not reimburse her for the photos and HOA docs (Over $1,000!) How is this ethical?
