We only joined the Steppingstone family out of duress earlier this year. Since then, we have seen…read moresuch profound changes in our five year old son who had previously given up on himself, schooling and humanity. He is now ready to engage positively at school and is happy again. The people at the school care deeply about the gifted population and are there to offer any support and guidance that a parent or student may need. They are the Houdinis of education and it is unfortunate that this education is not available to the masses. Instead of watching the Smurfs for music class, he came home telling us about how digeridoos are made by termites! He wrote his own brief piece of music which the teacher performed. On his first day, he made a flashlight as a part of a team activity in science. it's incredible and you will not be disappointed.

This is a really good school, at the beginning it looked like it was the worst school but it isn't…read moreI went to all the grades, 6th grade, 7th grade, and now I'm in 8th grade, I've met a lot of amazing teachers and students, the only bad thing is that there are a lot of kids that disrupt class but it doesn't affect me as long as they don't do anything to me it doesn't affect me, I would really say teachers need to control the children a little bit more and they should stop trying to be nice to everyone, it's ok if teachers are not nice to students that misbehave, but besides that everything is fine, perfect...at least for me, I respect everyone's opinion but I'll never change my mind that this is an amazing school, I met all my REAL friends here, and they're all amazing, for the first time in my life I have friends that really worry about me. Thank you Clarenceville Middle School.

This school is ridiculous. I had to give a star but if I had my choice I wouldn't have. Oh where to…read morestart. There is no communication with the teachers through out the year. You see them at conferences so if your child is failing you basically have no clue. There only is a tutoring class at lunch and after school but its just a place for kids to get their homework done. They take the electives from the kids who are behind in classes and give them another class of the same thing. They say it's to help them catch up but really come on. My son didn't score good on the math and reading when they tested in 5th grade so he had to take both classes to replace gym,and art.The big issue ive had with them started at botsford. Their bullying policy is just crazy to me. My son has had a kid bully him since 3rd grade. I was in and out of that school and thought for some reason since they would be going into the middle school it would get better. Well I was wrong. Teachers, staff basically any adult in there has done nothing all year. The principle told me that if a child puts their hands on another that is bullying but if they are name calling that it isn't. What? Sorry but bullying is both physical and mental... They have done nothing about it still. The teachers all wonder why my son is not passing when he is being harassed and no one is helping him so yhea it affects his learning. I thought My kids were suppose to be protected and if they needed help the staff would do their job but I was wrong. I'm no longer putting up with a nonsense school. My children will not be going back next year. The environment there is awful, the way they treat parent's and the children is sad and not right. The books in the library shouldn't be there. My 11 year old came home with a book on jeffrey dahmer. I mean really what ever happened to doing a book report on presidents. The stuff i read in that book was sick and not age appropriate for any middle school child.
