[Review #450] 2019 Yelp 100 Challenge (102/100)…read more Åhléns is one of many shops inside the vast Väla. Unlike the location in Ängelholm, this shop looks bigger but doesn't feel like it. I like the layout in Ängelholm better than Helsingborg. Still, Åhléns is one of my favorite clothing (department) stores in Sweden. This location also had plenty of "REA" (SALE) sections but I didn't find any particular deals that inspired my wallet, & the markdowns that I did see weren't as great of a deal as the Ängelholm store. :-| Since it's a franchise, I thought I would see similar brands & lines, but it felt different; the clothing lines are still current, well-made, & of durable quality... I was hoping to score some outfits for myself & LOs. This store does have a huge section dedicated to Pippi Långstrump. =) Sadly, my daughter has outgrown it; I believe the largest size is for an 8 YO. Since I didn't find anything on this trip, I'm not sure if you have to pull a # to pay for your purchase; I didn't recall seeing the take-a-number system queue ticket dispenser. I still prefer just waiting in line for your turn instead of the ticket system. Whatever your needs are, Åhléns is a quality store that has just about anything you desire... it's a definite must stop! Tip: Check for their REA signs throughout the store for discounts.

There's women's clothing, jewelry, accessories, and home stuffs (pillows, candle holders, and such small things). They carry some Orla Kiely items as well and you can see her signature leaf designs scattered around the shop. The sales staff is quick to greet you and offer help, but will also leave to alone so you can quietly browse by yourself. I love the design of the clothes here; everything is not too over-the-top nor is it boring and that is a fine line to tread. Prices are certainly more than H&M, but not outrageous. Shoe section is perhaps a little disappointing compared to the rest of the shop as the selection is small and seems to not really fit with the rest of the Super Love style. The added bonus is that the space of the shop itself is wonderful with super tall ceilings and two tiny second level mezzanines that hold additional clothes and accessories.

Hipster ahoy! This is THE place to shop for clothing, I suppose…read more I ain't no hipster, but I could imagine that they would be attracted like magnets to this place. It's a vintage (isn't that what you call 2nd hand shop these days?) clothing shop full of pretty cool stuff. Although I usually call my style classic (or if you want to insult me - preppy), I almost walked out of here with a beautiful pair of maroon-coloured ankle boots. That magnetic, yes. They have tons of cool men's wear and pretty dresses for the ladies. I feel like this shop is curated in such way that it appeals to the eyes, even though you don't have a single drop of hipster in you (points to self - again). But take chances, come here and see for yourself. Although I walked out empty handed from here (In the end I could resist the temptation of the ankle boots), I feel that I could recommend this place for many of my friends!
