I was a patient at this clinic for many years I drove from San Diego to see the best doctor on the planet. I almost lost my arm about 12 years ago I would drive up to see my doctor twice a week. Every time I came up I would bring fresh produce for the entire staff One day I was on the restroom got a call answered it left the restroom and walked out side and finished the call I did not even say a word until I was out side A RN I had never met and I was there a lot try to shame me when I waked back in the office You can't be on your phone in the lobby o said I wasn't I went out side you followed me out side so you must know that . When I was called back to get my vitals and do lab work the RN followed me and the MA around trying to provoke me I did not take the bait I told my doctor what happened he said she was not a nice person and to be careful with her I said ok On my next visit she comes into the lab she was trying to provoke me again two medical assistants were shaking I looked at her and asked why she felt the need to stalk me She leaves the lab and tells Dr Bent I was causing problems when I did noting of the kind. I went to this clinic for years I work in health care I was a navy corpsman I was a medical equipment rep I called on doctors offices I assure you I know how to act in a lobby This RN was a total cun! I lost my doctor with no debate Dr Bent would not meet with me it was just done The RN was pure evil she really was. I would not recommend coming to this clinic. For any reason if they are applying for grants refuse them There is no excuse for a RN to treat patients like she did . If she still works there I have not forgotten what you did I hope your karma catches up to you. If she reads this your a horrible person you have something broken inside y ou have a need to feel powerful land your a very bad person . I have asked multiple times to switch which doctor im seeing as i am not fond of Dr Jalali as she always cuts me off while speaking and even once when walking into my appointment she stated " why are you even here you shouldve just gone to a dermatologist" after i tried explaining multiple times i needed a referral and made it seem like i was wasting her time. I came into this clinic because I had knee pain. I was sent away and told I was ok and call back in a few weeks if I was still in pain to schedule an MRI. To schedule an MRI they wanted to charge me all over again after I had already paid for my appointment. Turns out I had a torn ACL and meniscus and was misdiagnosed by this place leading to me exacerbating my injuries. I should sue for malpractice. Absolutely terrible. Especially the office worker. Have been coming here since I was a little kid, I'm 25 years old now and I don't remember the staff being this rude before. Of course things change over time but you would think it would get better. Nurses looked annoyed when I had questions and told them the reason I was there. Doctor was okay...nothing extraordinary or out of this world when it comes to care quality. I will say I give props to nurse Nancy for being really patient and kind during my walk in but it just seems like this clinic lacks compassionate care. I'm thankful for the doctor and nurses though for doing their job but a bit of a smile would help once in a while. read more

The only thing good about this place is Dr. Rubal and I'm sure there are other doctors that are nice as well. The head of the front desk has a massive attitude problem and likes to hang up on people over 20 times and play games pretending she's not hanging up on them when directly asked what her name is the phone just goes "click". OLMA is gonna run this business into the ground with her inability to have any compassion whatsoever, and she goes out of her way to spite chronically ill patients. You should be ashamed of yourself. There is absolutely no reason I should have to call this office over 25 times in less than an hour because I am repetitively hung up on by OLMA. I arrived for my 3:00 p.m. appt. today at 2:42 p.m., calling to let them know I arrived as instructed. Not until 25 minutes later did someone finally come out to my car to obtain my ID cards, ask me a couple of questions, take my temperature and leave me with a flimsy 1-page "Intake Form" to complete. She told me someone would be back to bring me inside "soon." Another painful 28 minutes later - when I was frustratingly STILL awaiting that "someone" - I left as clearly such shoddy "reception" protocol most likely is clearly indicative of the "quality" of medical care I would have been provided IF I was ever actually invited inside the very tired and unkept-looking facility. read more

I am someone who never writes bad reviews in fact this is my first one but this clinic is the worst medical facility that I have ever been too. The staff is so unfriendly and do not know what's going on. The people at the front desk have very poor communication with each other as well as their patients. It took ten phone calls just to get someone on the phone and another five just to find out that there are no available appointments. All in all I spent my entire morning trying to find out what is going on with my condition just to find out that it is not possible. i have never experienced such horrible quality care. a clinic is supposed to help you with your needs. i took my grandparents here for a physical examination and we were so disappointed. the 1 star reviews are well deserved. the doctors do not care about you whatsoever and the receptionists. dont even get me started on the receptionists. they have the most HORRIBLE ATTITUDES EVER. i dont care if you hate your job. pretend like you like it. pretend like it is your family you are taking care of. the doctor whom my grandparents talked with prescribed my grandma medication for something she probably does not even need. if they worsen my grandparents case. i will come back and sue. this is ridiculous. i hope this place gets checked out by the authorities. horrible practice they are running. read more

Save yourself the time, trouble and your dignity. DO NOT go to this clinic. I should have known better reading the other one-star reviews on here, but it is true, the front desk has a long history of ignoring the phone and when they do pick up, they will put you on hold until it takes you back to where you need to "press zero to reach an operator "AGAIN! For a major concern, they will not accommodate the urgency and give you the times they have available 2 weeks from now. I could not even get the Doctor on the phone one time let alone schedule an appointment. The only way I was able to get this appointment is by showing up on their Saturday walk-ins and was told "I should schedule an appointment with my doctor"! Which I finally got them to do! Beside the front desk nightmare, this is how my long-awaited appointment for a top priority concern issue went. On 5/3/2021, I met with Dr. Chau Ngo after having to wait inside my car in the heat for an hour and 20 minutes to be called on. I was there to discuss my case and how to move forward with the tests. I shared with him RESPECTFULLY the trouble I had with the front desk being unavailable and trying to reach him which he ignored. Then, he was recommending a more invasive procedure over the other, and I wanted to wait for a test result to help me decide on which way to go. I was asked by him to call back to schedule an appointment to discuss the results. Out of concern and having trouble scheduling in the past, I asked if there are other ways that I could schedule the appointment. Here is where it gets interesting, I pretty much got kicked out unwarrantedly. With a changed tone and visible shivering, Dr. Ngo told me that "if you are not going to do my recommended procedure, then why come here at all? You should just go to another place to compare your old and new results." He then got up, turned his back and left the room without another word! Safe to say, I should have done this earlier, but I won't be coming back to Laguna Beach community clinic ever again. I have tried to work around their incompetence and blunt disregard for their patients only because this doctor was up to date on my case. But the utter disrespect and lack of self-control that I have witnessed today definitely has no place in any professional place let alone the medical profession. This outrageous behavior will never be tolerated on my part and I am in shock to say the least to have experienced this. Looking at many of the one-star reviews on here, this is not his first time kicking patients out, and has this consistent horrible manners, I only wonder why he is not fired yet! read more

This place only gets a star because it is cheap-there is really no other merit to going here. That said, you get what you pay for. I had to have some serious dental work done recently, and while I did the hard part (root canal) at an endodontist, I couldn't afford to have it completed by him, so I had to come here. The receptionist at the front is actually very friendly and puts me at ease and even remembered me, but the dentist is hands down the worst dentist I have ever been to. I am absolutely terrified when I have to go to this dentist. I have severe anxiety with the idea of holding my mouth open for long periods of time. Most dentists find a soothing way to remind me to keep my mouth open, but this dentist talks to you like a drill sergeant (YOU CANT CLOSE YOUR MOUTH), which only intensified my anxiety. She also does not speak English very clearly, so I had to ask her to repeat herself a few times. Midway through their work, she assumed that they were going to take lunch and make me come back another day to complete my teeth. She seemed more concerned with her lunch break than my well being. She repeatedly banged me in the front teeth with the tools they were working in my mouth with. I spent the entire appointment terrified that she was going to crack one of the few good teeth left in my mouth. They were also extremely rough on my jaw (I have TMJ, and she was basically leaning on my face, pushing my mouth open more than was comfortable...I have had headache all day because of it, and my appointment was yesterday). They also stretched my mouth too far, and cut the corner of my mouth because it was so dry when they were working in it. I have a big bruise on my tongue currently that I cannot tell if it is burned or has been drilled through, but it is extremely painful. Also, this time, many of the chemicals they were using leaked into my throat at times I could not close my mouth, causing me to gag and cry. In short, I hate this dentist, don't go here unless you absolutely can't afford a real dentist. read more

No doubt the Clinic provides a valuable resource for uninsured and underinsured people, but I was hoping they'd provide some answers as well. Here's how the process works: I went during their morning walk-in hours that are from 8-10 AM. Get there early so you can sign in near the top of the list. Word to the wise: *Their scale ranges from $65-$120 if you have no insurance. You are screwed if like me, you have very little money, and NO insurance. *Be prepared to wait...for a long time. Bring your iPod, book, whatever. *Be prepared to go back and forth between exam room and waiting room. After signing in, I met with the triage nurse, who explained the scale to me, documented my problem, and sent me back out. Once she explains everything to you, you do have the right to not seek treatment there. If like me, you have no insurance, the Clinic is probably your only option. More waiting, followed by another nurse taking me back to record my vital signs. Back out to the waiting room. 45 minutes later, I was seen by a medical resident and the doctor. I really didn't get any definitive answers, and no lab work was done, even though it probably would have helped. *New patients will have to pay a $20.00 deposit in addition to the office call charge and any other charges. *If you're a student who has access to your school's student health facility, go there. They're cheaper, and you will probably wait less time, which helps when you also have to be at work/school later on that day. *Be prepared to spend at least 2-3 hours there. *The staff are courteous, but very busy. You will also have to wait to check out and pay the bill. *They participate in the PACT program, so that's a plus if you are looking for low-cost family planning/reproductive health services. *I paid nearly $100.00 for very few answers and a lot of waiting. Your outcome may vary depending on the problem you're seeking help for. I didn't expect to have to shell out that much money at once. *Be sure to ask how much any additional tests, lab work, etc. will cost. The last thing you need at check-out is cardiac arrest from sticker shock. "Low cost" maybe in comparision to private practice in this area, but otherwise costly if you're not prepared. read more

They almost took the wrong tooth out on my last visit if I hadn't stopped them. When I didn't have enough money, the co-owner, Dr. Garcia told me, "THAT'S LIFE" . . . They also have WAY too many clients and it's difficult to get a hold of anyone on the phone and also to find a place to park. It also usually takes two to three weeks to get an appointment. I had the worst experience at this clinic. They did not disclose any information about what was happening and what charges I might incur for my children. When I started the process of payment, they asked for an insane amount. I was so upset that none of the information was ever shared about cost. They treated me as if, that's too bad for you. I'm still getting billed now by my insurance for treatments I never approved of or asked for. I'm so upset. I am livid with this place....again! They have been my primary care facility forever and they are just not the same without Dr. Jorgensen, who retired. I have been rushed to triage and then ignored in a cold room for close to hour for the last time. There I was with no clothes on waiting for a Womens Wellness exam, which I hate, and they take my weight and blood pressure so that the clinic can charge for the visit, then leave me to my nervousness about this exam for 55 agonizing minutes with no care, no doctor and not even a "the doctor will be right with you"! I got dressed and left and, of course, the doctor stopped me in the hall and said she was finally ready for me. No, thank you, ma'am. I rescheduled my appointments but have no intention of returning. I recommend that anyone thinking of coming here or anyone who has this dump as a primary care provider look elsewhere, as I am going to. read more

Dr. Ribald is very good and the nurses do a good job, however the woman at the front desk are terrible. The clinic did not answer their phone for over 2.5 hours when I came in they said they were busy. There was no one else in the waiting room. The receptionists are just rude. I asked several times for blood work to be transferred to specialists. They never respond. I have been a patient for 7 years and I am changing doctors because the support staff is really bad. The doctors are very good but don't expect anyone to answer the phone, return your call or even make a follow up visit. I'm out of here! read more

I called to verifiy pricing beforehand and notifed them that i did not have insurance and did not qualify for medical so I would be paying out of pocket. The care is very bare bones and you definitely get the feeling they are not concerned with your entire health. The exception is Dr Cullen who is excellent! You should plan on a 3 hour visit even if you have an appt because it usually takes forever. They don't really have a sliding scale fee structure so beware. You MUST make sure you ask what everything costs before they do any tests (even seemingly small things), vaccines, etc because it will be a BIG surprise when you go to pay. And they are rude if you question why you weren't told you would be charged double. read more

Dr Gno does not have a good "bedside" manner. He seemed to be upset with me when I told him about the new meds he put me on. I wanted to get Chantix witch is for stop smoking & he didn't prescribe it for me. The new drugs he put me on had some side effects so I said I want to go back w what I was taking before. Overall I would NOT recamend him as ur primary HIV doctor. Yeah & he even got a bit angry when I was talking with him. He may b good for some people but NOT me. Good luck Dr but I'm done with you!!!!Oh & when I wanted a different inhaler it took the doctor 1 month to respond & when he did he just said to increase the dosage on my old inhaler...this ah doctor must not have looked @ my chart or he didn't wright down that I wanted a different inhaler. Went for my first time two days ago because of a rash. Spent close to 2 hours here eating to show the doctor the rash and for him to suggest blood work. I find out that they don't give results over the phone and want to see me again in two days. So here I am waiting for blood results. They won't even give results over the phone if they are negative. So annoying to have to come all the way in even if they turn out negative. All in all I feel a lack of flow and connectivity between the staff, it's really annoying when I have to explain why I'm here numerous times when a simple glance at my chart will tell you why I am here. Get it together! I will continue searching for a new doctor. read more

This clinic was expensive. They wanted $300 for a visit with a doctor (I found a cheaper doctor at Saddleback Memorial). They charged me $20 for a walk-in visit with a nurse, and that visit was nothing more than a sales pitch. They told me they could help me get Medical because applying for Medical takes such a long time. However, when I went back for a second consultation regarding Medical, they raised their fee to $40 and simply told me that I was not eligible. I am not sure how this clinic's prices work. They did not seem to have a standard pricing policy and, at least for me, the clinic was just too expensive without insurance. The people there were somewhat courteous; however, they were not very helpful. I could not get them to sign a precondition insurance form with the nurse's license number. They just gave excuses. Their facility looked a little run down and the clinic did not seem well organized: The cashier did not even know how much I was supposed to pay or what my payment was for when I tried to pay their fees. Administration and the cashier needed to scream across the room to confirm with each other. The clinic seemed more like an unorganized sales office rather than a medical clinic.
