So at 10:30 i decided that dealing i with a Dr. office that has no consideration for its customers... customers time is not a place that deserves my business. I would recommend that you look for any other options before settling for this place. So now thanks to them i have to go back to another waiting list and take more time off from work. Thanks alot.

My mother an elderly woman went in to see Dr. Van Christian a few months ago, and I'm writing this…read morereview on her behalf. Everything about Dr. Christian was wrong. Let me start off with the rude staff , insteading of a warm welcome greeting we were asked right away for the insurance information. When she finally saw the doctor my mom asked how much is her office visit and she expressed to the doctor that he was very expensive. Dr. Van Christian said, "I don't have control of all that, take that up with your President and his Obama Care." Mom was very stunned by his comment. Why did he have to voice his political views when asked how much is the bill. This doctor made my mother feel very uncomfortable. His bed side manners were horrible and unprofessional. Since that incident happened, mom immediately changed doctors and now very satisfied with her new doctor. The words that Dr. Van Christian spoke, still haunts her today. My mother walked into that office expecting good service and care and instead she got an expensive bill, a mouthful of politics mixed up with rude employees. I wouldn't recommend 1 person to this place

She told me that they had improved them quite a bit. I wasn't sure and Dr Brasseaux told me she could get me a trial pair that wouldn't last but 2-3 weeks to try. I was skeptical but since most trials are free to get you to buy them I agreed to, she never mentioned a cost. They had to order them and I had to go back for her to put in, which took maybe 5 minutes. Normally when you leave the office, you have to pay what they think insurance won't cover, they said I was good when I left. The next thing I know they have billed my insurance which paid a portion and billed me for $300 some dollars. I called the office and asked to talk with doc and they told me that was my portion. I explained I was told these were a trial pair and they didn't last longer than 3 weeks and as discussed with her I am not paying for a non trial pair. They have now turned me over to collections for their error, told me I would have to find a new doctor and now I have collectors calling. I would never go back after what they have pulled. Do not sign their forms allowing them to bill insurance for whatever they want. THIS IS INSURANCE FRAUD.

She's the most competent optometrist in the area, including those faceless entities at the Lahey clinic. The only problem is she has a faulty picker when it comes to hiring support personnel. Two months ago, her gatekeeper/receptionist set a check up appointment for me over the phone. I remember it vividly. This was not the computer glitch that she later claimed it to be. I entered the date in question in my phone. That would be September 6, 3:30 PM 2021. As it turns out, that was Labor Day. It was on neither of our radars. Be that as it may, I received the usual text and email reminders for that appt date. Imagine my consternation when I showed up and the office was closed. I live a half an hour away, by the way. I left a voicemail. It was promptly returned by The gatekeeper, who immediately went into a__-covering mode. Computer glitch." Said she didn't know how it happened. Did she not think I remember the conversation from two months ago? I have no doubt that the appointment was deleted in order to cover this up. I still have the email. I didn't take exception to the situation and went ahead and reset an appointment for three days later. When I showed up for the new appointment, she was brusque and dismissive, after once again blaming the entire situation on the computer, without owning the mistake. After filling out the paperwork, I asked for my license and insurance card back and left. Life's too short to deal with rude, a__-covering liars.

I was given an eye exam and was supposed to be fitted for contacts for presbyopia. I told the technician what worked before and asked to try those contacts. After waiting for them to come in, I was given the wrong contacts. When I called to let them know what the problem was, they ordered new contacts which were also wrong. The problem seems to be that the "technicians" are uneducated on what they are doing so I paid the price. I asked for a refund on the contact exam since they did not do it properly and prescribe the correct lenses, but they refused. I would definitely recommend staying away from this place.

Matter of fact, this is my second time doing business with them. I didn't mind the telemedicine over the camera for an eye exam so I brought my mom there so you can tell that we are not hard to deal with and very easygoing customers. I brought my mom there the second time to re exam her eyes and get new glasses since it's been a year. Finished and ordered 2 pairs of glasses on July 13th. Store manager Stacy checked us out and said my mom's glasses will be in about a week. Waited and waited, finally got a voicemail left by the store manager Stacy on August 3rd by that ONE OF THE PAIR is ready to pick up. I didn't even go right on that day to pick up and went two days later, so they should have plenty of tome to have my mom's glasses ready. Went there to pick up, waited for more than an hour, Stacy said she's putting her glasses together. After an hour, she then told me her new glasses are not in store, it will be mail to my house. But I told her that she left me the voicemail that one of it is ready that's why I came to get it. Let her listen to the voicemail and then she had to look everywhere for it. I was happy just to get to pick up one pair after almost a month. She told me my mom's second pair of glasses will be mail to my house tomorrow. I left to go on vacation, came home after a week, still no glasses. Brought my mom to the store AGAIN to see if they have it and also let them refit the new pair she just got because it loosens. Had to waited again, I walked in and told them what we were there for, waited but then told us later they can't do it because their lab manager is not there. They could have told us in the beginning so we didn't have to wait. There are just so many things going on at this place and they can't get nothing done for you. If you get your eye examed, you won't get your prescription glasses in less than a month. And it is medical problem. They can't make patients wait for their glasses for that long. It is so ridiculous. Unorganized, miss communication between employees, keep telling you your glasses coming tomorrow or next week but it never comes. HORRIBLE and TERRIBLE

Fast forward a week they came in. Get home and I could not see anything out of them and the lenses were not the blue mirror I asked for. I called was told my eyes needed to adjust, well a bottle of eye drops and a botttle of Tylenol later still horrible. I was told to come back in. I had to Miss another day of work and postpone a flight for work to do this. I get there and was told no idea why they were not mirrored and was told I needed the progressive lenses to see up close, hello I have zero issues seeing far I only use them for reading and I have a stigmatism. I mean it's their job to know these things. So I either get the full scrip lenses or progressives in a 1000.00 pair of glasses do I say go ahead and do progressives. Well they charge me another 141.00 for these lenses. So they don't do their job, they come in wrong and don't notice e and I have to miss work to come back for their mistake! Do they work for free I bet not. I WILL NEVER GO BACK HERE AGAIN! Now I have to wait another week to get these amazing 1100.00 glasses! These people have zero ethics and professionalism, they were more worried about selling me a warranty than getting my shi* right. NEVER AGAIN, be warned FOLLOW UP. The store manager Christi Brown called me and there were 100 excuses of why it was done wrong and I was told the lady that did it was human my question yes but why should I have to pay for THEIR MISTAKES! she was very rude and I said well that's fine I have 30 days when I get them to change mind and asked how she would like it if I inconvenienced them like they did me well her true unprofessionalism kicked in and said she was cancelling my order and I could not tell her what to do, how truly pathetic! They wasted my exam for the year but it's not over I will be dealing with CORPORATE DIRECTLY. Well shall see how this plays out I record everything!!!! O she hung up on me, great training LENSCRAFTERS. Run don't walk. This place will use your yearly exam and when they cancel your order because they don't like hearing the truth nor do they like being told they need to be held accountable they get rude and hang up on you!

Just be aware of the person who is ringing you up and selling you your glasses....she must get paid on commission. She charged us for all kinds of craps we didn't need. Both centers had good customer service. And we got our classes the same day.
