When asked why we were being nudged, the marshall dug in and things escalated from there. The confrontation was impossible to shrug off. Look elsewhere if you're expecting destination golf hospitality.

I'm a real novice so please forever me if I get some of the lingo wrong. This was only my 3rd time to the driving range. Even though I'm new at this and only hit up the driving range on vacation I still find it fun. The ball dispenser is a little confusing. It says you can purchase balls with a credit card at the machine, but it didn't work for us or the other gentleman in front of us. If you go to the front desk of the club you can purchase a bucket if balls. If you are a member you get a hearty discount. For non members it's $12 for a small bucket and I believe $18 for the large bucket. The driving range is beautiful. You're surrounded by trees. The putting green has rubber tees built in. I saw some people step up on the green and bring their own tee. They have 2 levels to the range and this time and the last time we came we always found a spot next to each other. I look forward to returning and maybe I'll get my own bucket of balls instead of just sharing a large bucket.

I would call myself a low intermediate golfer with about the same number of lessons and 80 games played-I've broken 100 twice. This clinic was perfect for both of us but it would easily suit much more advanced golfers (and obviously does). Keith Lyford is an excellent instructor. He has obviously mastered the mechanics of the game, knows how to teach and brings a great attitude to the "classroom". Andre was his assistant instructor for us and we felt equally comfortable with him. After 3 days, I have a much stronger understanding of the fundamentals, understand my issues and have the tools to continue to improve. Consequently, I am much more confident in my game and so is my wife. I am convinced after seeing the improvement in my wife and in myself, there is no better way to learn the game of golf or just polish your skills. No review would be complete without some words about the facilities. First, Old Greenwood may be my favorite course. The club house is beautiful, the course first rate, the pro shop nice and helpful and the driving range is one of my favorite. When you add the Golf Academy facilities to this, you have what I think is a world class public facility (and I've been to some great places like PGA West, La Quinta, Mauna Lani, Ko Olina, and a couple private clubs which have hosted significant events). When it comes to tools, the Golf Academy has everything an instructor would need from multiple-angle cameras, the latest FlightScope, and numerous teaching and fitting tools. During the course of the three days I observed Keith and Andre bring out one device after another to help a particular student address a specific problem - and we all seemed to have our own problems. I felt the instructors were very adept at identifying each student's need and adapting their teaching technique appropriately, which the FlightScope data later just verified. So, I obviously recommend this The Golf Academy and Keith Lyford without reservation!

This is a review that is biased more on good service than the course, conditions, or golf carts…read more I had a stressful week both at work and with Doctor's office visits that did not bring cheery news. I knew a round of golf would help clear my mind. I understand that there are now more ways than ever to book a round of golf. I happened to use Duncan Golf Management's direct site. However, when I showed up late Saturday to claim my tee time at Eagle Valley East my reservation was nowhere to be found. I retrieved my cell phone from the car. Low and behold I had mistakenly made the reservation for Friday, not Saturday. Neither of the 2 men working in the Pro Shop batted an eye and said we will get you on, no worries. Thank you to both of them and thank you to DGM for having a service minded policy that allowed them to. Thanks again, Local Golfer The course is dry but well groomed, easy to play, a bit hard to map out for first timers, and the carts are in average condition for local courses.

The fairways and greens are perfectly manicured and cut, however an extremely tough rough condition awaits you- Should you miss the fairway even a couple of inches. There is no buffer from the fairway to the Rough! it immediately transitions to 4 to 6 inch thick and healthy grass. The ball literally disappears. The group I played with must've lost a few balls each-even though we knew the location where our ball ended up. I am a 12 handicap and had a tough time here. My drive were not all perfect today and I paid the price, even when my drive was to slightly rolled off the fairway. I will definitely play here again, but with a completely different strategy . I will simply take my lumps and punch the ball back into the fairway. Attempt to reach the green from this rough will end up poorly, except for very low handicappers and only the best ball striking golfers . Eagle Valley ... please reduce the 1st cut so the mediocre golfers like me. Can survive a golf round there!
