We ended up at Kohl's in Vincennes, Indiana. So as I was shopping with my eight-year-old, and my 88-year-old dad and here it is almost Christmas. There were all kinds of people in the store and it was busy. I was shopping with my dad and all the sudden I realized he had left us. This is not a big concern, but slightly because I never know what we will end up doing so as we were shopping, and looking for dad, I find him, and this absolutely precious sales clerk (I think her name was Hailey) was taking him around the store, helping him find 2 pair of pajamas for my mother. She was very patiently waiting as he would find either a reason that it was not just perfect or it wasn't made quite right for mom. Not one time did she do anything less but to smile and try to find something that would suit him. The funny thing is my dad is very particular when it comes to shopping and it is very trying sometimes on your patience. But not one time did she do anything except encourage him that they would find the perfect pajamas for my mother. I don't know for sure how long she helped him but I know I was with him for about 15 minutes and they had been looking for quite a while before that. I just want to give a big shout out once again to Kohl's in Vincennes, IN. This is why I love shopping at Kohl's, Customer Service is number one! My fiance and I went into their store to look at wedding tuxes. We are short of 5 months out from…read moreour wedding. We asked them if we could try some tuxes on or at least put something together for us to visualize since we were still unsure about what exactly we were looking for. The men who work there put us in front of a magazine and said pick what we like. Gave us some swatches and said let us know. We looked through and picked a few options. I asked them if we could see them together. They said they could order them for us because they do not keep any of those pieces in store...they order them. I asked them if they had anything in store they could just hold up to each other so we could decide on colors. They said no. We asked if we could do anything today to see what we liked and see about getting some rentals. They said we had to go online to "build a tux" and put something together. We thanked them for their time and left. We went home, went online, built our tuxes and saw the price. Little high in my opinion. I realized we forgot to ask when we need to have the boys go in and get measured. I called them and told them we looked online and our built tux and asked if those prices were true to store price. He told me there would be no prices listed online.......I was looking right at the number. When I told him this he said they would not be true to in store and didn't understand how I found a price. Cool.. But ANYWAYS. I asked him what kind of time line we needed for measurements. He said we needed to COME IN STORE TO SIGN UP AND GET LISTED WHO NEEDS MEASURED AND OUR WEDDING DATE. We were JUST THERE!!! Why were we NOT TOLD THIS?? I then asked what would happen if we ordered tuxes, got them in, and something didn't fit right. He told me it would be no problem because they KEEP EVERYTHING THEY NEED IN STORE and could just swap it!!!!! I don't normally rant about these things but... 1. We were JUST in store! Why were we not TOLD we needed to SIGN UP WHILE WE WERE THERE??? Now we have to make ANOTHER trip there!!!! 2. I wasn't even given a website to go to. Just told to go online....I had to find it myself. 3. They told me they couldn't put a few pieces together in store because they didn't have anything there...but THEN said they have EVERYTHING there in case something doesn't fit. I feel like they all need to get on the same page! When we were there they acted like they had a MILLION better things to do rather than help answer our questions. They acted like when I asked if we could see them together it was KILLING that salesman to tell me they "could" order it for us. Sorry if I'm being a pain! But this is our WEDDING! We would appreciate at least a little guidance with knowing the process and keep it consistent!!! By fiance is dead set on going here since they are local. The store is very well stocked and organized, making locating the specific merchandise you are looking for easy. We have found the store clean and well staffed on every visit. What really stands out to put this location as a winner is the amazing customer service we have received from every staff member we encounter. As an example, this past Sunday, we were traveling out of town and in Jasper. It was early and we arrived as the store opened so my wife could find a pair of Asics tennis shoes she has been looking for in her size with a specific color theme. We had been unsuccessful in finding the exact shoe she wanted in her size in any other store. We did not see a match and were starting to walk back toward the door, and a female staff member stopped and asked if there was anything she could help us find. We told her no, we needed 6.5 woman's shoe in a certain style and they did not have it. She offered to look for us and said at times, customers will put a box in the wrong location. A few moments later she returned with the exact shoe my wife wanted in a size 6.5 and it fit like a glove. The five-star customer service did not stop there, when we went to the counter, the young lady at the register helped us with adding up several Kohl's Cash receipts to give us a total of $25 off our purchase price. The bottom line, we can buy Asics Shoes from any retailer for the same cost. We can also go directly to the Asics website and purchase directly. As a customer, we have many, many choices. We chose to continue to patronize Kohl's because of their fantastic customer service, even if the price is different. Other Kohl's stores should look at this Jasper, Indiana location and work to mimic what they do every day to WOW their customers.
