This was actually great by me. Very rude office staff and his nurse was quite difficult as well. They seem much more interested in collecting their fees rather than the well being of their patient. At least, this was my experience. Lastly, I do not recommend this doctor office in the least!

Dr Carlson takes a very personal approach with her care, where she almost feels like a family member because she wants to know about how you feel and what you've been up to since she saw you last to ensure she can offer real advice that will apply to you, not a textbook stock response. She really listens when you're describing symptoms or ailments and takes notes in your chart as you converse. She offers options, never hesitates to suggests further testing yet doesn't order unnecessary labs or tests either. If your schedule is flexible, you can often get a same or next day appt. To give you an idea of how wonderful she is, I drive 30+ miles to see her and there are plenty of options much closer to home.

I was on a payment plan with Seneca Hospital for a couple years. I lost track of the end date. I…read morejust kept making payment. Over two months ago it was paid off. Around July 1 2026, I called to see how much I still owed. I was told I had over paid by over $400. More than two months payments. They have my address, email and phone number, but they DID NOT let me know not to send more money. When I called, I was told they would process the refund and mail it to me. I called again today July 10, 2026 and was told it would take 4-6 weeks......................WTF...... If I was 4-6 week late on a payment they would send me to collections................. Dear XXXXXX I understand your frustration, and I sincerely apologize for the continued delay. At this time, the issue affecting the refund process is still being actively worked on by our finance team. I recognize that waiting for a refund that is already owed to you is frustrating, and I appreciate your patience as we work toward a resolution. Go to Enloe or even Banner, but bypass Seneca Hospital. Seneca gave 3 missed diagnoses, and I…read morealmost lost my father. If I hadn't gone to Enloe, my father would have perished in 3 days after the visits. And this was the HEAD of ALL the doctors to whom made 2 of the miss diagnosis and sent him home. Even though my father had passed out and was brought in by an ambulance on all three occasions, no one ever said he could a possible valve issue and only one doctor recommended he see a cardiologist whenever possible, no urgency. I know due to his age, they assumed he would pass away anyway. Well, the hell with them. After the surgery, the doctor gave him at least 7-10 years longer to survive. I broached the question about monitoring him over night and the response was "Why, he is awake now". Still hadn't received a referral to a cardiologist for my dad in 4 months. I called his primary care doctor 7 times. The nurses in the front are amazing but to follow up with the back of the office, is useless. I requested a hospital bed and waited for a referral, the nurse claimed she was waiting for the second surgery prior upon sending in a request for that and physical therapy. They wanted to see, basically, if he would survive the surgery and not waste their time. ALL items needed, came from referrals by Enloe in Chico. Five Stars for the doctors, nurses and staff. They care and perform all tests needed to come to a REAL diagnosis. Once my father was admitted to Enloe hospital, they gave us a cardiologist, a urologist and a cardiovascular doctor. A report is being drafted to ombudsman and the Medical Board of California, along with all of his medical records. They either need to revamp the hospital with trained staff or shut down. Again, if you can't get to Enloe in Chico, go to Banner in Susanville.
