A late September wedding and it was really chilly on the water, but the views are quite lovely. The holiday event was really nice and drew a large crowd. We didn't wait to see Santa, but we did enjoy some cookies and punch and we also got to spend time with the sweet animals there for the nativity. There were some school choir performances that we heard a little bit of. I will say that both times I've been here, the bathrooms were either closed off or very hard to find. Where are they? Does anyone know? No one had an answer either time I was there. So as long as you don't have to go potty, it is a great event venue. They also had a couple food trucks there during the recent event and the chili was really good. They had some interesting baked potato options too. My son and I enjoyed visiting the Tudor House and I thought the December event was well orchestrated.

Not being very familiar with the Portage Lakes area, I had no idea what to expect. It's tucked away in a residential area, so not some places you would stumble across unless you knew it was there. I thought my GPS was leading me astray as I pulled up to the cul-de-sac out front, before seeing the signs. It was an outdoor event so I didn't get the full experience of touring the inside of the house, but I can't say enough good things about the yard, the views, the setup, the food. The house/mansion backs up to the lake and the view is spectacular. There's ample parking but the overflow lot is a bit of a walk. My only criticism would be that the drive leading up to the house is very dark and narrow so it could use more lighting for night time events. This is an awesome place for an outdoor wedding if you're willing to chance the weather in northeast Ohio!

Planning an out of state party - especially finding a venue of the correct size on short notice, was a real challenge. I found the Diamond Match Party Center from some google searches, and I'm so thankful I did! Jan made this whole event painless, easy, and elegant. She went above and beyond to color coordinate our event and set up the space perfectly for our needs before we even arrived. We adored the decor and the decorating she has selected for this unique and interesting historic space. Everything about the service and venue we received greatly exceeded our expectations, and made what could have been a difficult endeavor, a pleasant and wonderful collection of memories. The baristas were super friendly. Lots of space for meeting up with a friend or working solo. One wall is mostly just windows. Background music is a random mix of indie folk guitar stuff. For those who are looking for a coffee shop that stays open after 3 pm on the weekends, this is your spot because they close at 7 pm. Lots of things that I like in a coffee shop. I'd be happy to come back and try another drink! Bonus: there is a spacious picturesque park with a lake is a couple blocks down from the coffee shop. I asked the cashier how much it was and she stated $17. I decided to look around the Farmers Market first and get the Tote on my way out. I came back and got the Tote, it rang up at $18 this time with tax and asked if I wanted to add a tip. I said No and continued my purchase. When I got home, I looked at the receipt and saw not only was the Tote a dollar more, but a $3.60 tip was added after I said No. I like the Tote but I do not like being ripped off.
