Neither big box retailer could tell me much about their tubs except for price and obvious things such as 1yr warranty but they didn't know how that worked or the fine print details, or anything about their service after install etc. Notable was that they did disclose that they "neatly leave the packaging / trash for the consumer to discard"- What?! Then remembered The Place in Medina, Ohio. So glad I went this route. Rex Brown was very knowledgeable, he answered All of my questions and concerns (that no one else could and other info. that I couldn't get online). The Place has a large inventory of Hot tubs. Like most stores, big box or small retailers they have a limited amount of Plug n Play units but more than most that I went to, and they carry the BEST plug n play model on the market: The Dream Maker and at an affordable price too. The difference with The Place and Big box stores, is that The Place knows their products and stand behind them! It is a family-owned company-(buy local). They have a repair shop on sight, their own repair guys/employees (unlike big box- once you get it home - after warranty-it's on you to get it fixed). The Place also carries any accessories, like filters and chemicals that you may need for your hot tub. The transaction was GREAT from start to finish, (no gimmicks, no delays, no bait and switch). The delivery and set up was quick and very professional; they left no trace of packaging material aside from my beautiful hot tub you would never know they were there! I couldn't be happier- I highly recommend Rex Brown and The Place in Medina Oh.

My ongoing issues came within hours to days after the prior repairs but AAA Spa and Pool Service were always professional and responsive to me and getting my hot tub taken care of before the cold weather hit which can make fixing a hot tub outside the home difficult or almost impossible till warmer weather. Since 2021, we have worked with them for regular maintenance, service calls, questions about balancing chemicals, purchasing supplies and more. They are knowledgeable, kind, patient and accommodating. They offer a free service for you to bring in a sample of your hot tub water and they analyze it in the store and tell you exactly what chemicals to add. Terrible customer service and communication. I had a repair…read morescheduled for the afternoon and was told I would receive a call the morning of to narrow down the time. At 11:30 I called to check and was told that I would receive a call by noon with an update. I never received a call and only reached their voice mail for the remainder of the day. At 10:30 the following day I received a call from the office stating that she had an emergency and had to leave at noon the previous day but that the technician was supposed to have called me. She insured me that I would receive a call from her no later than 1:30 that afternoon with a time or she would give me the technicians number so I could stay in contact with him. She never called me back and I am still sitting here with a broken hot tube.

When my wooden fence gate broke I looked around for a company to make that repair plus a few panel…read morerepairs and some general maintenance all around the fence. How great was it when I found Fix-A-Fence to know that I was getting exactly what I needed--not just a "handyman" company but a company that knows how to do a wooden fence (or other types I'm sure) right! I called, sent a few photos, and had an estimate in hand the next day. The price was great so I agreed and was added to the schedule. Unfortunately for me we had many days of rain which pushed back my original date a bit but John was good about keeping me updated on a final date. Once we had a new date locked in he had a cancellation come up so I actually got booked sooner than planned (again, great for me!). The arrive on time (a little early even) and had the new gate hung, repairs completed on multiple sections, and a good once-over on the whole fence for some minor repair. Total time from setup to driving away was only a few hours and the work looks great! Also, I really appreciate the advice he gave me on a few "repairs" I had planned for them that he said could be taken care of in a less costly way (i.e. something I could easily do on my own since it was cosmetic work). Great to see someone willing to give me the best work at a very fair price. I highly recommend Fix-A-Fence and will gladly have them back for any future repairs (here's hoping another tree doesn't fall through my fence again!).
