We had our lawn put in back in early summer 2025 after waiting several months for Sal's team to come and do the work. After the lawn was put in his team came back a few times and had to put in more seed, the same dead spots in the middle of the yard occurred again, and again. After sending several emails about our lawn, Sal called and yelled at me over the phone claiming we didn't know how to water our lawn. Just recently we replanted our front yard ourselves. Then, when our neighbor had her lawn done, her landscaping company was kind enough to fix our backyard mess after jokingly asking for them to do it. I wouldn't recommend Sal's Landscaping. His yelling at me on the phone was very rude and he claimed we weren't watering our lawn, but if he put in the sprinklers and 60% of our lawn was green and the other 30% dead, it's obvious we were watering the lawn. His team even commented on one trip that they had never seen such an anomaly in one of their planted yards, but apparently no one cared enough to come and figure out why the grass wouldn't grow. Sal has far exceeded our expectations on our landscaping project. Sal's vision, knowledge, expertise, and professionalism blew us away from project beginning to project end. He was very prompt when we reached out for a quote. He wasn't pushy at all. He patiently listened to what we were looking for and then was able to immediately conceptualize a truly breathtaking plan for our landscaping. He worked with our budget to make it affordable without making us feel like we were skimping. We didn't have an expectation that he would immediately begin as we recognize that there is often a waiting list for the best contractors who both care about their work as well as taking care of each of their clients. We found that he and his crews paid meticulous attention to every detail of our job. That isn't something we would have wanted rushed. We prefer a contractor like Sal versus one always in a hurry to get to the next job. With that being said, he showed up on the first day that weather allowed within the timeframe we had hoped for. His crews worked hard and fast. They gave us the impression that they loved what they were doing and took great pride in their work. I think it is completely apparent in our end result. Sal widened our 2' wide existing concrete walkway to a stately 6' bluestone. He ripped out all of the existing landscaping and installed the beautiful materials he suggested to really compliment our home. We also had a very old and overgrown island that he removed and replaced with grass. It is unbelievable how well he removed all traces of the former island. We went in with realistic expectations and finished with the admiration that his work was far superior to anything we could have envisioned. Below is a picture of our home before our renovation. And then pictures of how his work absolutely transformed our property. We will use Sal for our future projects. Don't have the time to give a lot of details but they did a great job. Sal and his crew were friendly, professional and timely. They fixed some landscaping issues I had in my back yard that included lawn, bushes and paver patio. They re-purposed pavers and gravel which saved me some money, their pricing on labor and material including 3 trees was very reasonable. I added on some last minute items which they did nicely and they did a few things I did not expect including power washing my driveway when they were finished. I would definitely recommend them. read more

Just moved up to Ohio from Florida. Been cleaning out the backyard and wanted a quote on a concrete patio for a hot tub. Spoke on monday, confirmed Thursday at 3:30. No call no show. I left a voicemail saying no longer wish to move forward. Scheduling and at least notifying a customer of change/ tardiness is what ypu are suppose to do. read more

Sal made an appointment to consult on my project. He didn't show up, and after I called multiple times for a follow up, he was rude. I left a negative review on his Facebook page. He called me repeatedly until I answered my phone (harassment), shouted at me to take down the review, and then told me if I didn't take it down he would report me to the building department for code violations. He also threatened to sue me for tripping on a step on my property. As he missed our appointment, I was not home when he alleges he was on my property, so he was trespassing. As a consumer, I refuse to be intimated, threatened, harassed and bullied. I refused to remove the review because it was honest. I told him to not contact me again in any way. Sal followed through on his threat to report me to the building department. He also had a female call my place of employment (information I did not give him) from a phone line registered to him (his name showed up on caller ID), and attempt to file a complaint with my boss. This man has crossed a line. I had to file a police report in order to get him to back off. Consumers beware, this man may do wonderful landscape work (I have no idea, I never even actually got the chance to meet him), but he is not pleasant to work with. read more

Absolutely a Great Experience working with Sal's Landscaping! I hired Sal's to repair my entire patio and grill that another company installed just 2 years ago. Sal's came removed the entire patio and grill and poured a concrete base and footer for my new Grill and Fireplace they rebuilt a new grill station and new Fireplace then placed brick pavers over concrete. These guys are the best in the industry! A must call company for any Outdoor Project! I normally never write a review on any company but after the experience I had with another previous company that continuously said that settling was normal & did not guarantee their work at all and then working with Sal's and witnessed exactly how they perform their work I had to share. I noticed 2 other reviews on this site about Sal's it's too bad they didn't even have the chance to work with A++++ Company but yet they reviewed them just because they were late for an appointment. read more
