They also have a fridge with complimentary soft drinks, juices and water. Only taking one star off because the system kept checking me in with previous owners number who bought the car from them. They said the didnt find a problem except the AWD needed work, and the antifreeze was empty. It was full when I took it in there FYI. They gave me the keys back and said it wasn't safe for them to work on. Now here I am weeks later at another dealership with $7000 worth of repairs because the turbo blew and flooded the catalytic converter with oil, and may have caused engine damage. Thanks lake ford. Horrible customer service. I've been complaining about my 2018 Ford F150 making clanking noises as I accelerate. I complained to the service department about this problem and return the truck with nearly no oil after only 3000 miles after the oil change. I was told nothing is wrong with the truck multiple times. Now, the truck is just over 200 miles past warranty. This time while in for service, they're able to find that there is an issue with the truck and that the motor needs to be replaced for $15,000. It's extremely frustrating that when I was there two years ago, complaining about issues with this truck and even six months ago they told me the truck was fine. read more

Brought my car in to get new battery cables only. I was quoted $720 to replace a bunch of stuff for the battery. I told them no, just the cables. Craig told me the cost to put them in would be $350. He didn't say any other numbers. Overpriced in my opinion, but I don't have the expertise. I agreed to the 350, but they didn't have me sign any paperwork. Brought it in on a Friday, they didn't have the part for some reason, and told me Monday. So I went the entire weekend without my car. I needed it for Monday for my everyday life, and then they didn't finish the car until Tuesday. Thought that would be the last of my troubles. I got the bill to see the charge for $350 and then $150 in parts and $27 in shop supplies. Totaling about $550 after tax. So I was lied to, made to wait, and they basically scammed me. Buyer BEWARE!!! We would NEVER purchase another vehicle from Lake Ford of Milwaukee, they aren't deserving of one star!! Our recent experience purchasing an Infiniti QX80 from Lake Ford has been nothing short of a nightmare. We drove off the lot with what we believed to be a high-quality, well-maintained vehicle, that gone through their 125 safety point inspection, only find out we needed a new engine within one day of ownership. Immediately, we sought help from both the dealership and Infiniti, only to be met with stonewalling, excuses, and poor customer service. First, Lake Ford assured us that the vehicle was under warranty, but we soon discovered that because the vehicle was a Canadian import, like the majority of Lake Ford vehicles, many warranty claims were not honored. This left us stuck paying for diagnostics and the countless trips to various dealerships trying to resolve the issue. To make matters worse, Infiniti wasn't willing to cover the warranty as they suspected the instrument panel had been tampered with and the mileage had been rolled back and despite being promised assistance, we were left to foot the bill for gas and time lost while my husband took time off work to get this sorted. We did all the leg work and made all the countless calls while Lake Ford sat back, ignored our call and did nothing. When we asked for our money back and our original truck returned, we were met with rude and dismissive behavior from Nick, the sales manager. His condescending attitude and unprofessionalism were astounding. He essentially embodied the stereotype of a "snake oil" used car salesman--lacking any genuine care for our predicament. Instead of working with us to find a fair solution, we were made to jump through hoops, repeatedly, with no clear end in sight. After 7 long weeks of back and forth, a lot of stress, and lost time, we were finally given a refund for the cost of the inspection, but even then, they refused to reimburse us for the gas or my husband's lost wages. In addition, despite promising a credit for a loaner vehicle, we are still waiting for the $100 deposit to be refunded. Ryan Heine, the only person who attempted to show some decency and professionalism, worked with us after we refused to deal with Nick any further. However, even Ryan couldn't get Lake Ford to make things right or acknowledge their responsibility. The entire ordeal left us feeling disrespected, exhausted, and completely distrustful of Lake Ford's ability to stand behind their vehicles or their service. In short, we would never recommend Lake Ford to anyone. The dishonesty, lack of transparency, and disregard for customers were evident throughout this entire experience. If you're considering purchasing a vehicle from them, be extremely cautious, especially if the car has any Canadian history, as the warranty may not be honored. Their service center caused me more stress than any of it was worth. I dropped my car off for the appointment, they said they'd call me when it was ready, only for them to never call so I went back before closing. When I get there I find out the service center is CLOSED. Apparently, and nobody told me, it takes over a day for an oil change and to run diagnostics. I was under the impression I would have my car back that day. This was a huge inconvenience, and when I tried to take my car back home as I needed it they couldn't find the keys. The next day they gave me a quote on the work I needed to get done which was INSANELY overpriced- I'm assuming they are trying to get me because I'm a young college age woman. I decided to not do any of the service there and just pay for the diagnostics and oil change. I go back the next day to get my car and, after being bombarded by sales people trying to buy it from me and give me extremely overpriced deals on cars I wasn't even interested in, I drive my own car home (after paying $300 for an oil change and diagnostics with no complementary car wash, vacuum done as it says on my receipt). I get back I find that the splash guard under my car is completely dragging on the ground and one of the front light covers is off. I call service and they send someone over to fix it, only for him to tell me he needs to take it to the shop again. So now after what I thought would be a couple hours of no car, I'm going on three to four days and multiple errors made by the service department. Hoping they bring my car back asap tonight. What the heck happened to Lake Ford? When I purchased a 2018 Ford Explorer, it was the best experience of my life. They even helped me with pricing out the sale of our existing 2014 to a son just starting out in life. The experience was so good that I followed-up the next year by purchasing a 2019 Ford Ranger. Again, it was a wonderful experience. So, this can't possibly be the same LAKE FORD? Did they change ownership? What happened to their customer orientation? Recently, the remote access to Sync on the Ranger became inoperable. I spent untold hours in the driveway, working directly with the Ford Pass technicians over the phone. FordPass was kind enough to get their Sync expert on the phone. We tried the several "fixing" methods, including a full firmware reload. All failed. At this point, he said their past automated download for the operating software had a glitch. He told me it was a known issue by Ford, but didn't affect everyone. He told me to take it to the dealership under SSM-50726 because it is a Ford issue, and they could quickly and get my remote access corrected. (It is a nice feature in a cold climate.) So, I called today to resolve the issue with a needed oil change. The first guy, Micah, put me on hold and never came back. After 10 minutes, I called again and got Lucas. I was on the phone for less than 30 seconds and "lost" his call. I called a third time, answered by Anthony. Now it really gets strange and frustrating. I told him that I wanted to drop it off to get the issue resolved and "The Works" oil change. He said $190 was required for a technician to find out what was wrong with the Sync remote. I told him that I wouldn't pay for something that Ford admitted was their problem. He then said that they needed to diagnose. I asked him why? Ford had provided the diagnostic of SSM-50726 at which time he said, "We've seen a lot of those." (What? Was I just lied to?) When I said I wasn't going to pay to correct a "glitch" that Ford admitted was their problem. I was told that "Lake is a business". Here's the real irony. I just finished additional research. First, we have been going here religiously as our service option for 10 years. We live A 1/2 a mile from another Ford dealership. We started going to Braeger Ford, now Lake Ford, after the service was so bad there. I told my wife I would rather have to drive 5 miles than put up with this bad service. But, from getting picked up in a Chevy for a shuttle ride to the initial diagnosis, which was wrong. To ordering the wrong part. The tail is wagging the dog here. Communication was a total bust. We had to work with multiple service advisers. Customer service Attitude at the bare minimum. We point out not to wash the car every time we go there. We ask every time not to wash our car through the car wash. I do my own wax job with carnuba wax, and the PH value of the soaps they use in car washes strips carnuba wax right off. They put it at the top of the paperwork, and yet when my wife came to pick up the vehicle there, it was bright and shiny clean from the car wash. At 60 years old, I don't look forward to doing wax jobs anymore. My wife asked for the service manager to call her about it. It's been 3 days, and she has not, and I doubt it is going to. Pathetic service. This service department has zero initiative. The management of this dealership is playing not to lose the game. Instead of trying to win the game. We were put into a loner car for a week. We have a twin Turbo fully loaded Explorer that we bought from Lake Ford. We got put into a 4 cylinder escape. The escape wasn't even an SE. It was as stripped down as you could get. When I asked if we could get something nicer, the service manager said no, we don't have anything else. We don't have to give you a loner at all. I should be grateful for the one I have. She said if she had an Explorer ST model to give as loners, we wouldn't be having this conversation. She's right about that. Her attitude I will fault to her, but it is not her fault the loner vehicles are stripped down. Our Explorer sport is 6 years old. We are the perfect customer to try and sell a new one. If the management of this dealership was playing to win the game, they would have a top of the line model loner for each vehicle you sell. Then had a salesman come over And show us around it a bit. After driving it for a week, I'll bet my wife would have been telling me about how nice it is. Instead, I heard her complain to me every day about how the loner car sucks. We started out in a 2014 escape SE. Which we also bought from Lake (breager) Ford. So we are not acting like we are above driving one. In the end we got a discount off of the bill. Seperatley, On my 2002 truck which I Did a moderate restoration. There have been tens of thousands of dollars of repairs done on it here. I purchased a used F-150 last week from this dealership. It's gold certified and thought everything would be good...almost nothing went the way I was expecting. Edwin, my salesman was the only exception. He was great to work with. I put $500 down to hold the vehicle and wasn't able to come look at it for a few days. On the test drive, the car wasn't cleaned at all, even though they had plenty of time to even do a quick cleanup on it. Even when I took delivery, it wasn't very clean...probably because the detailer was rushed to get it done. My trade in vehicle wasn't perfect, but they gave me an extremely low trade allowance without explanation. I was preapproved for the loan, but when I was signing papers, they couldn't use it, they could only give me another bank for a higher rate. Again, without explanation, but the F&I manager did fling the preapproval back at my wife. A Gold Certified Ford is supposed to include a free Carfax report, and 3 month trial for XM radio, which I did not get, and didn't know I was supposed to get into i looked up on the Ford website, because I didn't receive any paperwork stating it was included with the certified vehicle. My biggest problem is I noticed when I got home that there were some sizable and DEEP gouges in the sidewalk one of the tires. Like, big enough to fit your pinky in. I sent Edwin pictures, and they used car manager called back. He wanted me to bring it in to get looked at, so I did today, only to find out their "technician" said it was safe... I've been doing auto repair professionally since 1998, and anyone else who knows anything about tires knows that gouges (or any damage) in a sidewall can not be repaired. The tire is junk. And they won't do anything about it. I ended up walking out because I was so upset I was shaking after the used car manager only told me "I understand your frustration". I also noticed yesterday that the right rear corner of the truck sat down a little lower than the other side. I unbolted the shock, and there is zero compression or rebound in the shock...so that needs to be replaced also. Nice job on the 172 point inspection guys. read more

Purchased New F-150 from Lake Ford, have been loyal to the service department from new, had 6 "Works Services" done and 5 of the 6 had oil dripping on my garage floor the next day due to sloppy workmanship. It always takes a second trip back to get it right. One of the services, they did not rotate my tires. My last service on Jan 30, 2024 was no different. Oil leaking on the garage floor that afternoon.. What I didn't realize is just what is actually going on inside the service bay. On Jan 31, 2024 I realized that I had left my dash camera running and was able to capture on video what I was billed for vs what service I received. With the hood opened you can clearly see into the engine compartment, (still shot of video below). They never checked my battery, my coolant, my air filter, or top off any fluids including the windshield washer reservoir verified on the dash camera video which is all part of the "Works Service". They falsified the legal Repair Order document stating they did all the work on separate repair lines, including washing my vehicle and they did not as verified on my dash video. I'm sick of dealing with the service manager after all but one visit to redo the work. I called and set up an appointment with the Dealer General Manager (which turned out to be the sales manager) and between the sales and service manager I was told "I was lucky that they had a person show up for work that morning to change my oil" I was also told "that if i think it's any better across the street, down the street, or across the city I should go there, This is the auto industry". Service manager told me to bring it back they will fill my gas tank and award me some Rewards Points for future service for my time and trouble, but that never happened either. I have filed a complaint form with the State of Wisconsin Department of Motor Vehicles for falsifying a legal document and charging for work not being done. I have shared my dash camera video to the State of Wi with my complaint for review. If this is happening to me it's happening to many other customers that just don't know it. Doing some research I also found out that LAKE is NOT part of the ADAMM Association. They have seen my tail lights for the last time. NEVER AGAIN read more

I bought my first financed vehicle through Lake Ford. After less than a week of having the 2021 ford F-150 Lariat, it began having issues with the dash display shutting off with no way of telling speed, fuel (anything a dash should display). I am an over the road trucker and was out, so my girlfriend took it in for maintenance since we bought the top warranty we were offered. After taking it in, and provided a loaner for over a week, we were told it was fixed only to get back in the vehicle (after taking off work to get it it) and minutes later having the same issues begin to happen only minutes from leaving the dealership. This same scenario has happened at least 5 times since August. During this last Christmas weekend we were told Friday that the vehicle was done, picked it up and had no issues until Saturday morning, (the day before Christmas Eve). We had plans to take our son to his grandmothers up north for the holiday, so we went to the dealership asking to be provided with at least a loaner since this ongoing issue had not been fixed as they had claimed. The person dealing with us claimed to be the owner of the facility, after we had asked to speak to an upper level manager. He claimed he had no way of providing us with a loaner vehicle since it was the weekend. The Lariat they sold us was progressively getting worse (not starting at this point and leaving us stranded etc). He gave us a copy of our warranty agreement stating they would provide 30 dollars in rental car reimbursement, but it being the holidays-there were no rentals available at any of the Milwaukee rental car facilities. This issue has been ongoing and as my first time buying a vehicle of this price through financing I regret buying from this company. The lack of customer service for someone spending that amount of money sucks. I will say Brian in the service department is a pleasant guy. But the whole situation is terrible. If this were my business I would want to do everything in my power to make things right with my customers and we have yet to see anyone reach out to offer alternatives and have felt like this ford dealership has no interest in caring for their customers post sale. read more

I had a nice salesperson, that's where the good ends. The first guy I talked to said price couldn't move a penny. The next day it was advertised 500 less. We drove back and the second guy was rude to the point of smarmy but we liked the vehicle. We couldn't agree on a price that day, but the next day put down 500 and agreed to their price. It took a few days to get back to the lot to arrange pick up and payment for the vehicle. In that time the dealer put 500 miles on the vehicle. (I didn't notice until I got home.) Since we put down the down payment shouldn't the car be held, meaning NO ONE DRIVES IT? Had to jump through a nightmare of hoops, but eventually ended up buying it. I had two Ford items on my car that were recommended by Ford to get replaced based on the Ford recall notice I was given by Ford in the mail. So I looked up a local Ford dealer that was close to work and Lake Ford was the closest. I tell them over the phone that I had two different recall notices that needed to be fixed plus the door cap fell off my car so I needed that replaced as well. The rep said they could do it all in one day if I arrive early which I did. When I arrived, they said they could do it all. I told them about my car door handle that popped off and they said they'd first have to diagnose the problem and see if replacing the cap is an option. I said it simply popped off because I didn't push it back on. He said he'd receive a call quoting the price to replace it. They don't give me any replacement vehicle or ride to work or home so I had to take an Uber home since they said it would take all day to fix. 7 hours pass and no word from them. Finally they call & tell me the car is ready. When I arrive, they say the one recall item got replaced but the other item did not because they don't have the part. They tell me its $200 for the clip to fix the driver side cap. I said clip? I just need a cap. So he goes to the back to call the parts department and they gave me a price quote for the driver visor that a clip broke off. I said I don't need that fixed, I want a quote for the cap. They say they don't have the cap for my car and would have to order it. They said they'd have to color match it to the color of my car and might not match. They said its $200 min plus labor. I said no thanks. I asked if they could put it in writing so I could shop around and they refused. I asked for a receipt for today's services performed and they wouldn't give me one. So two of the three issues were touched. The one issue that they said they fixed wasn't even fixed at all!! So now I waste an entire day and for none of the 3 issues fixed which they said they could do. Can't get much worse than that, does it? Probably didn't care about me since it was a Ford recall and they couldn't charge me for services. So now back to the drawing board to call another Ford dealership for help. read more

My experience at lake Ford dealership was honestly pathetic and a disgrace to the more reputable Ford dealerships in America... I first before bringing my vehicle into your shop called ahead and made sure your "master technician" could handle the job I needed done I got the confirmation that the work I needed done could be done so I proceeded to bring the vehicle in it was a huge game of phone tag very unprofessional might I add while my car sat there for weeks at a time without your shop every reaching out and rarely returning my calls finally I got the guy who built the vehicle to call corporate Eva use I felt I was being played with and Conveniently after he got off the phone with corporate they gave me a call back saying that the vehicle was now operational.. I went to pick it up and asked if they unmarried the old computer from the tuner and married it to the one put in and he said that he could not do it there but then proceeded to explain to me how I could do it on my own at home.. now I'm no rocket scientist but if a 19 year old kid "can do it on their own at home" then should the "master technician" of one of the utmost respectable and reputable dealerships in America not be able to do it? It just doesn't make sense to me the vehicle has been around for going on 24 years and your company made the vehicle and all of the locksmiths I called even said only the Ford dealership has the equipment to be able to do that and very rarely a locksmith company might be able to. Then after that conversation I paid and went out to my car where it didn't start it needed to be jumped then I proceeded to drive 15 of the 17 minute drive home and the car broke down again from the exact same thing I just finished paying 700$ for. And then when I called them back to tell them that they said they will not give me a refund and then your cooperation and higher ups said they wanted nothing to do with the car according to Chad the sales rep in for Caleb at the moment which I also do not understand because they vehicle was made and manufactured by Ford. read more

Poor communication and poor inspection of work. I dropped my vehicle off Tuesday (3/22), and estimated completion was that week Friday (3/25). I didn't hear anything so checked in Monday (3/28), received an update, and the new completion date was Friday (4/1). Again, I didn't hear anything and then got confirmation it was done Monday (4/4). Picking up the vehicle, there was a new check engine light on with no notes from the tech and no communication to me. The service employee was polite and recommended they keep the car, but couldn't offer me a temporary vehicle to get home so unhappy that I needed to find a ride after a mix-up. After the additional work was complete, I picked up the vehicle. While driving and about to get on the freeway, the wind caught my hood popped it up because it wasn't properly latched. With those two events, I can't help but question the quality of work on the $3k+ of repairs on my vehicle. read more

I do not drive a lot or far. My job is less than a mile from my home. It seems as though they sell cars 'AS IS" under false pretenses. Because why would a company tell you the bad things right? That should be illegal. 2nd day having the car the back window wouldnt even raise up properly. Which was my first time raising down the window so It was a problem before I got the car. Maybe a week or two after that the lights in the back went out so I needed to get replacement bulbs. And then the Car would act as if it wanted to cut off while im driving. Got the battery replaced and it had so much green stuff on it and UNDER it the mechanic went through it all trying to get the battery out even that was a problem! There has been so many problems I cant even name them all. I keep the car well maintained including scheduled oil changes when needed and tune ups. Save your money better yet if your a woman run. Im thinking of taking legal action because according to my buyers guide under "Obligation to remedy undisclosed problems" they lied. No way around it they lied just checked off every box. Just got word from the body shop it's currently at that they pieced a cross bar back together rather than spending $174 for the new part. I told him to let me know if they could come down in price at all (my offer was not unreasonable by any means) and his response was shockingly rude. Bought a used 2016 Ford explore that was listed in excellent condition and paid to have the vehicle certified pre-owned and the dealership did not do this. Another dealership and two more there after had to spend close to $5000 to get the vehicle to where it should've been when I purchased from this dealership. They lied constantly about repairs they said they did only to find out a few months later, they never did. Additionally, the dealership failed to mention that the vehicle had been in a major accident. This is a clear sign of consumer fraud as well as other violations. Sure, anybody can pull a Carfax report but every single dealership and every single body shop that just glanced at this vehicle can tell that it was an accident. They failed to inspect this vehicle. Lastly, when I spoke to one of their "sales managers," I told him that several things on the vehicle that should've been replaced were not. One of them, a black air cabin filter should've been replaced and the manager said that it did not meet requirements to be changed... If the filter is supposed to be clean and white, but it's black, how do you not change it? Tried reaching out to the dealership on numerous occasions there after and they brushed me off. NOT A GOOD EXPERIENCE. We purchased a 2017 Audi A4 with 39,870 miles on Saturday, December 18, 2021. Within 24 hours the check engine light came on and the engine started misfiring. On Monday 12/20 I contacted Lake Ford to pick up the car and was told to take it to my local Audi dealer as the car was undrivable for long distances and the Audi dealer was within 5 miles. The Audi dealer diagnosed the malfunction as a faulty spark plug and replaced all four. The total bill was $400.52 that I paid. We submitted a claim with Ford Blue Advantage but was told sparks plugs are not included in the extended warranty and probably should have been replaced prior to sale. Lake Ford would not reimburse me and they were the ones that instructed me to take the car to Audi. Looks like I'm out $400 and will not be returning to Lake Ford. read more

My experience with Lake Ford was hardly anything but disturbing. I went to the dealership on a Saturday afternoon two weeks ago to test drive a vehicle. The dealer who had called me Alec was busy. Jarrod then did the test drive with me and we then started discussing figures as I requested. I laid out what my perimeters were and Jarrod to them to finance. Three hours later it was time for me to leave and we still weren't settled. It was suggested that put down a $500 deposit to hold the car and we would meet again on Monday. Over the weekend I determined that I could not take the car based on the figures last presented. On Monday, I texted Jarrod to alert him to this and arrange to get my deposit back. The response was what would work. We settled on a down payment and monthly payment. I indicated that I could not get there until Thursday but would be in at 5:30. I did not see a response asking for clarification on whether I was taking the car but felt non the less that my setting an appointment meant that I was purchasing the vehicle. Alec Called on Wednesday and left a message to call him. I didn't get the chance. On Thursday, I texted Jarrod to verify my arrival to finish the purchase and pick up the car. Jarrod Texted back that thee car had been sold on Wednesday while he was off. I went in and spoke briefly with Jarrod who apologized for the mix up. I then asked to speak with his manager. The used car manager came over and so did Alec. I learned that during the texts I was actually communicating with Alec not Jarrod. Yet there was no clarification of this during the texts. I questioned how a vehicle with a sign in the window and a deposit down could be sold without my being spoken too. Alec stated that he tried reaching out to me. I showed the used car manager the texts and said that it was never left in any voicemails or texts that the car was going to be sold! The new car manager said that he could see where there was confusion. I further asked how is it two people could be working with me when I rode with Jarrod and spoke with him all afternoon. Alec came by and introduced himself briefly on Saturday but it was Jarrod that had done the leg work. It turns out the texts were to a dealership text line not just to Jarrod who was off. The used car manager said he wanted try and make things right by making me an offer on another vehicle like the one I lost. He asked if I would be open to this. I said I would look at what ever came my way with no promises. This was five days ago. I got my deposit back but beware. Putting a deposit down at Lake Ford won't hold your car at all! Interesting how polarizing the reviews are for this place. Seems to be rather love-hate and sadly I fall more towards the latter. I can completely empathize with Rachel F. on getting the runaround from everyone in this Automotive Group. The left hand has NO IDEA what the right hand does here. Before you buy from them there will be the usual promises of great customer service and follow through, but as soon as they have your money they are no where to be found. I found our salesperson to be the epitome of the swarmy used car salesperson stereotypes we all know too well. He was inconsiderate of my time (I felt held captive in his office and we "waited and waited" to move to the next step in the process. He made plenty of editorial comments about the management and overall just sent a very unsettling vibe. Good to know others found better salesman and I drew the short straw! Nonetheless, as soon as you drive off the lot their story changes. They won't return your calls, or if they do they are experts as passing the buck to someone else. My "great" sales person and his manager did not communicate with the service department, costing me an extra unplanned 90 minutes of my time for the one service visit I had. And they did not, in any way, fix the issue I went in for, even thought it was agreed to be addressed before I picked up the car, because I delayed the pickup by over a day. This place is so frustrating I find it a challenge to use proper grammar when talking about them, so I must just say there are many better places to buy a car and you won't have to look hard to find one. read more

I appreciate being able to easily schedule service appointments online. If you are going to wait there, the customer area is just outstanding. Plenty of seating, place to work if you need to (with wifi) and they even have beverages. That stuff is all well and good however I appreciate that they do good work on my car, and the Service Advisor calls when he says he's going to call. You don't have to call there asking if your car is done. They call you - as it should be. read more

Went there and they gave me a purchase agreement 3 grand over what we had agreed on and tried to convince me that I was still getting a great deal.... I wasn't. I needed a car in two days and they severely wasted my time. Wouldn't recommend this dealership but I'm sure most are unfortunately like this. Great experience with Brock (sales), Dan (manager), and Nick (finance). Overall one of the smoothest, fastest experiences I've had buying a car. Brock was able to get me some very competitive numbers via text (after sending in an interest form from the website), so I wasn't wasting hours haggling at the dealership. In and out in 2 hours or so which is probably not normal, but was very welcome! Dan stopped by to say hi, and Nick explained all of the service/warranty options without applying pressure. I've been to most of the area dealerships (all brands) over the last few months and Braeger Ford 's new facilities are a cut above. So I want to first say that this is my 4th interaction with Braeger and I should've known better after the first 3. We received an email from Braeger about a great sale they were having on focus'. We were in need of a new vehicle so we thought what the hell. Now in full disclosure our credit isn't the greatest but we can still get things done with some creativity. So we went and found a car and started the process. Our salesman Eric provided us with a sheet of terms and said check the terms you'd like. So we checked the terms we felt we could live with and he said he would let us know. Now keep in mind that we did have a trade that they had not looked at yet. So we get a text from him and the terms were exactly the opposite of what we checked! So short and sweet we would end up paying $39,000 for a $15,000 car after 6 years! I don't know if this is just incompetence or just carelessness, either way its unacceptable. Wouldn't you have all the numbers before going back to the customer? We of course declined and then they wanted to see the trade-in which was a truck that we bought from Braeger and have been the only owners of. The truck is in good shape, but it is 16 years old and the odometer and compass don't light up(the solder points need to be redone) but they still come on from time to time. This is a common issue in older Fords. So they said it is worth about $3000 (which is fine with us) but because the odometer wasn't lighting up maybe $1000! LOL, they're a ford dealer and could do this repair for nothing! So again we declined. So I we definitely won't be doing business with them ever again, nor will anyone I know if I can help it. This whole deal seemed shady and they were just playing a sales game. BTW. The first deal we did with them was for the truck previously mentioned. They promised a rebate and low financing and when we got there to pick it up (mind you they didn't tell us the terms changed when they called) the interest rate was like 10% higher and the term 2 years longer. My other 1/2 having a temper stood in the showroom and ripped up the paper work and called them liars, I also had just gotten a review from Ford directly about my experience there and lets just say they got an earful. They ended up honoring the original terms and we bought it. The 2nd deal I was buying an explorer. They were working on financing etc. and after 3 hours I needed to get home and they said just a little longer. I started to get frustrated and said I need my keys I have to run home and they said they lost them! I ended up siting in that dealership for 7 hours, after the sale they miraculously found my keys. The 3rd deal was with a friend of mine, not much different then what we just went through with them and pretty much what all the other reviewers have said.
