Bought a 14 Passat from here on a saturday the very next day we started having lights and low oil pressure warnings on. Called the dealer the following Mon. and they said if it pops on again we will have to get it in to look at it. It did come back on so I called, they took it in and said it was because of bad oil so they claimed to have changed it. Even put a new sticker on the window and gave me a print out stating oil change. I dont know why the oil wasn't changed before in went on the lot for sale seeing as the tag on the window from Valvoline said it was due in 1000 miles. Oil change is cheap and a good thing for a customer to see. But any ways...... When I went to pick the car up oil change is what they claimed. I laughed and said ok. Couple days later warnings are on again, ended up having the car towed to a VW shop. Long story short after diag from the shop the engine is SHOT. And was told "someone had recently replaced both oil pressure sensors". This shop is unable to get to the car for at least a month so we went to another VW shop which did their own diag. Sent me full write up and pictures. The "new oil change" that didnt even have 500 miles on it looked like 8k mile oil and was full of metal flakes. As well as A.H. claims to have safety inspected the car yet we found that one of the rear control arms is rotted out. I mention this to him and he says "I guess we missed that". He did offer to trade the car out for another car off the lot. But my son did not like any of the cars there accept a Jetta which I could CLEARLY tell had been flooded. And i found cars with loose body panels and parts held on by hose clamps. Or the cars were very high mileage and high priced for what they were. When I explained every thing that shows this was a flooded car that simply had not been reported to carfax they said "all we can do is go off the car fax which is clean." There was dried mud in the truck, around the door cards, and in the seats. This is just a shortened version of the full story. We are done and set with the car, only putting this out there for others to see and be very warry, take what ever you are looking at to a shop. I know what im doing, I drove this car for an hour before buying and nothing seemed wrong, no lights, and no warnings. There were no codes in the computer (thinking they had been deleted) When both shops had read all the codes that showed up the very next day after we bought the car (not even 24 hrs later) and all reported low oil pressures. read more

About 3 weeks ago I purchased a 2016 Toyota Corolla from Auto House. No pressure sales and very friendly staff. After about 4 days the battery went dead over night, Tom the owner said he would take care of it just bring it in and well check the battery first, if its not the battery well find out what the problem is and fix it. What I didn't know is Auto House had already installed a new battery, that new battery was found to be defective and they replaced it for me. I can confidently say this was the best car buying experience I have ever had. My wife and I were in the market for a used Prius, so we were searching on Craigslist and stumbled upon a used 2011 Prius that Auto House had listed. I had never heard of them before, so I called and talked with Tom who was very pleasant to work with. Since we are out of state I asked if the car was still available so we could make the 1.5 hour drive to come see it. He said it was and told me they would be happy to hold it for me while we drove up, which he did (someone even called for it while we were on our way). When we got there, Chris was there ready to help us. He was super friendly, professional, and used no pushy sales tactics whatsoever. It was actually really refreshing to feel like he was just a guy selling a car at a very fair price who wasn't out to get me. He let us test drive it, look over it in detail, and told us about the carfax and other details on the car. He was patient and gave us all the time we needed. We loved it after our test drive, so told him we wanted it and within literally 15-20 minutes we were out the door, driving home in our new used car. Easy, hassle-free, and would highly recommend. Auto House Waukesha 1611 Lincoln Ave, Waukesha, WI 53186 Bought a 2015 Subaru Forester from Auto House. Read ALL the reviews before going. Tom likes to reply "Don't believe the bad reviews". So I include photos of the repair receipts below to prove my bad review of Auto House. If you read all the reviews on G00gle and elsewhere you will see numerous customers who had to spend thousands of dollars on repairs right after buying from Tom. Toms excuse is shit happens. More like shit is sold at Auto House Waukesha WI. My bad review is a couple months late because I was out of state and had left the receipts for all the repairs in WI. All repairs were done within a month of buying the car. So here are my details. Within a month after buying the Subaru I had to spend $3,240 on repairs! Starting with tires. I heard a sound coming from underneath the first week. Took it back and Tom drove it. Claimed it was cupping of the tires. Which on the Car Fax report it claimed Auto House had just mounted. Found out from Firestone that they were only for use in winter. Not safe for warmer weather. Bought the car in August. Had to get new tires from Goodyear ASAP. Next problem was the brakes. One caliper was stuck, grinding the pad almost to metal. Couldn't afford a new one so had it rebuilt. Rear rotors were bad and had to be replaced. As well as all pads. How did Auto House miss the frozen caliper and bad pads and rotors if they had mounted new tires? Was referred to Subaru dealership to figure out what the original humming, grinding noise was. First Subaru dealership found many things wrong but could not get me in for repairs soon enough. This included needing new plugs, control arm bushings, which I still can not afford to have repaired. Second Subaru dealership found bad front axle shafts. Made a clicking sound when turning. Humming, grinding sound was not fixed. Mechanics at 3 shops said it sounded like the transmission. Could not afford to get it fixed. Put down $9000 to buy the car. No funds left. Also had to change the differential fluid on Rear. Couldn't afford both. When you buy a car from a dealership you expect them to thoroughly inspect everything. $3,240 in repairs the first month after purchase is pathetic. Tom claims they always repair issues if found soon after purchase. Maybe doing a better job with the pre sale inspection would be a better idea. Once I found out the humming sound was not cupped tires, but most likely the transmission I lost trust for Auto House. With so many things found wrong a month after purchase I did not trust Auto House to fix the issues they should have found and repaired before the sale. I did not read all the reviews. Had I done so I never would of considered buying a car from Auto House. There are several issues that I still can not afford to have repaired. This whole experience has been a nightmare. Several other bad reviews contain complaints of thousands in repairs soon after buying from them. Tom blames the customer for not bringing them to his attention. Who would trust them after buying an unsafe vehicle?! Also do not believe the Car Fax report when buying a used car. I was told that many reputable places do not report to Car Fax. I was also told before buying the car that there were no accidents in the cars history. After buying it I found receipts in the glove box detailing an accident that cost over $4,000 to fix. Then noticed the hood was not seated evenly. How did Auto House miss the collision receipts in the glove box? Why did Tom tell me there had been no accidents? I will admit I should of been more thorough in my own inspection before buying it. I should have taken it to a Subaru dealership to check it out before buying it. This purchase has destroyed my savings. Destroyed my trust. Don't make the same mistakes I did trusting Auto House Waukesha. read more

This is an update- bought a car a couple weeks ago now. Four days after I bought it the check engine light went one. Contacted them and got no response. The car was purchased for my 16 year old daughter and she sunk a lot of her savings into the purchase. We took it to a mechanic and found there were multiple codes. We started with getting the thermostat fixed. While the mechanic was working on the vehicle he found mud in the engine. Still no answer from auto house! Bought a car 4 months ago from Auto House and have had nothing but problems. After $3000 worth of repairs (many issues), I talked with the owner of Auto House who essentially gave me a hard time for buying from him. Sh** happens, is essentially what he said - it wasn't his problem. Now the car is totally dead - needing an additional $3000 worth of repairs. Time for the scrap heap.... I'm out a total of $8000 and only have a piece of junk to show for it. My experience says, stay clear of Auto House - They will just rip you off and blame you if anything goes wrong!!! I bought a 2007 Chevy trailblazer LTZ with over 120k miles on it. I know that I'm taking a risk buying a 10yr old vehicle with such high miles and I accepted that something might go wrong down the line. My purchase did come with a 3yr warranty on powertrain and electrical, pretty cool. The vehicle has been very good to me driving wise, recently I had a loud humming noise (sounding like a kazoo) when I accelerated. The owner, mechanic, and I agreed that the noise was coming from the power steering pump and they were VERY quick to replace it at a very reasonable price. The mechanic also discovered that a bearing from my belt tensioner was making a noise and fixed that as well. I'd like to say that Auto house has treated me very well if I had any questions or issues about my purchase and were also very attentive to my needs. These reviews are very important to a company like this who sells such volatile product in used, high mileage vehicles(you can never foresee problems). They can use these reviews, good or bad, to better their practices and I've experienced the good. I would buy another vehicle from them, granted, I would do my part in reviewing the vehicle history before purchasing and/or have a mechanic look at it also. read more

If I could give Auto House a negative rating I would. The deceitfulness and cowardliness of the salesmen here is enough to make anyone run for the hills. Now the real issue with my interaction with these people was how they said one thing and did another. I found a truck I liked there and decided to go check it out, about an hour drive out of the way for me. So I headed out there Saturday, 8/19, to look at it and offer my car as trade in. My car is by no means pristine, but still a reliable and fairly clean car. I get to the truck and notice the tires have dry-rot, tail lights are scuffed and busted, paint chips and clear coat pealing from bumper to bumper. While I'm taking the test drive I leave my keys with the salesman to do his job and inspect my car before he gives me an offer. I also understand I'm not buying a brand new vehicle so I let it go. We make an agreement on what I would pay for the truck and what they'd give me for my car. We shake hands and have the agreement written out. I come back Monday, 8/22, to pick up the truck and be on my way. I get there after work and my salesman isn't there. I deal with one of the other guys. He inspects the car and takes it for a drive and calls my salesman on the phone. After discussing the come back and offer 30% less than their original offer, saying they were unaware of the other issues the car had. Now one, we had an agreement on a particular price I was content with, even though the truck had plenty of cosmetic problems. Two, for him to not even be there to try and weasel his way out of his end of the deal was low.. even for a used car salesman. In conclusion I would recommend going literally anywhere else if you are in the market for a vehicle. I hope this review saves you from wasting time with such an irreputable dealership. We were looking at purchasing a Chevy Avalanche and had been dealing with Tom, when we went in to pick it up the Avalanche was sold from underneath us. Not only did they do us wrong, their attitudes were terrible. I say everything happens for a reason and in the long run we got a better deal at a better place where the personalities were like they actually cared. I purchased a vehicle from the Auto House in Waukesha last November. WIthin TWO MONTHS...I needed a new transmission!!! I spoke with the owner...explained what happened and that this vehicle was going to need $2,000 in repairs just two months after driving it off the lot and the ONLY thing he was willing to do was repair it for a SLIGHTLY cheaper rate. NO way was I going to have them repair it. Then fast forward another 10 months and now it needs a new altenator which is going to cost another $1,000!!! DO NOT purchase a vevicle from this scam artist!!! They are going to tell you that ANY used vehicle can have these issues."It's just a fact of life." But when you see multiple reviews from people that experience the same thing and the "dealership" does absolutely NOTHING for you....look elsewhere!
