2 minutes after dropping us off, we received this message from Violeta: "Your ride should costs $15 more. There was only a coincident that you were picked up with a minivan. You provided false information that you only have 3 carry ons and you didn't mention about wheelchair and walker. Lake Forest Taxi " Note we provided our flight details so there shouldn't have been excess waiting on the driver's end. I have taken 100s of Uber rides, I have met so many wonderful and interesting drivers. I was never asked to prepay AND pre-tip with uber drivers This driver never handled or touched the wheelchair and walker. There were only 3 carryons and they were informed there were 3 passengers. I never dreamed any driver would resent driving a handicapped elderly person, never mind accusing customers of purposely trying to deceive LF Taxi. LFTaxi is not customer friendly and they are expensive. Stick with Uber or Lyft. read more

Beyond BAD Limo Company! Had delayed flight that was arriving much later. When I communicated this to LFT they told me they could not pick us up when we were arriving. "They were fully booked at that time!" I have used Executive Chauffeurs for years. We wanted to try and give the local company a chance. BIG MISTAKE. Not only did Marta say she couldn't pick us up, she sent a follow up text stating she would be cancelling ALL reservations with us. Used this service for the first time on a trip with my husband and three children. The female driver who picked us up sat in her car as we walked out of our home. I've never used a private taxi service where the driver, at the very least, did not get out to greet passengers. She made no offer to introduce herself or to assist us. Drive to O'hare was silent. Very odd, almost contemptible approach to 'service'. Unfortunately we have limited options in Lake Forest and will probably be forced to use them again, but not by choice. read more

I used this service frequently and they let me down in a big way a few weeks ago. I had been traveling for 8 hours and my flight was delayed out east because of weather. I let LF Taxi know and they told me they'd do their best to accommodate my changing travel. At the end of the day, I ended up coming home at almost the exact same time I had originally planned...and at the time that I had a scheduled, confirmed pick-up. They canceled on me. By the time I got to O'Hare, I had been traveling for 10+ hours, and because they canceled on me, I had to wait another hour+ for a different cab company to come get me. This is not okay. I waited 2 weeks for them to reach back out and make it right, and nothing. This is not how you treat your customers. I was loyal to them and recommended them frequently, and they couldn't be bothered to make things right. They had previously called in a completely different cab company for a separate confirmed reservation and subbed the service without even telling me. I let that one go. This one I can't let go. When they did come, they were courteous and clean. It's a shame that I can't trust them anymore, and I don't recommend them. I can't even imagine what I would have done if my kids had been with me and they canceled like that on me. read more

I had used another service for over 20 years and they were acquired by a bigger organization and became unreasonably priced. They were always reliable, so I was leery to switch to another firm. I used a coupon once for another large company and the driver was 20 minutes late. I was referred to LF Taxi and saw excellent reviews on Yelp, so I called and had the most delightful introduction from the owner's wife, who carefully walked me through their technology and loyalty program. They are a family owned business who truly care. I just completed my first round trip experience and could not be happier. Their cars are not flashy, but clean with nice touches of water and hand wipes. The drivers were outstanding and contacting them for reservations and airport pickup was easier than my big expensive company. I will definitely be back soon! read more

Talk about traveling home from the airport in style! I will never use another taxi company again. This was such a great experience. My husband uses Lake Forest Taxi when traveling for work. We came back from a vacation last week, and he suggested we call them. I have a 17 month old son, and am very hesitant to put him in any cab. He reassured me that this is not a typical cab company, and I have nothing to worry about. We got picked up in a really nice brand new car. It was in immaculate condition, the driver was very courteous and professional. They offered us water and chocolates, which was great after a long flight. The wireless internet is also a huge plus. I am not sure how big their territory is, but I would recommend this company to anybody. They are much better than any cab company I have used in the past. read more

I've been using Lake Forest Taxi for over a year, traveling almost on a weekly basis. Before that I was a loyal customer of the big suburban taxi company (you know which one I mean) to the point where their service became unreliable, with drivers simply not showing up and/or not responding to calls anymore. At the end, they sometimes couldn't even confirm orders for taxis at O'hare. One day waiting again outside the terminal at O'hare for the confirmation of my cab order with said big taxi company, I saw a LFT car pulling up and I decided to give them a try with my next trip a few days later. This turned out to be a good choice. My experience with them has been great ever since. The drivers are professional, on time and the cars are all either brand new or at least in immaculate condition. In all this time, I had one ride that was not perfect, I am far from considering this a bad experience but anyway, I contacted LFT to let them know that there is room for improvement. I was assured that the situation would be addressed instantly so it could never happen again. And it didn't... Given that they are a growing company, I am impressed how they could maintain the quality of their service. It's probably not an easy task to find reliable drivers which is a cornerstone for their success, but so far it looks like they really succeed. Keep it up Lake Forest Taxi! read more

I was pleasantly surprised to find the inside of the car to be IMMACULATELY clean. There was a water and magazine waiting for me in the arm rest. The ride was quick and pleasant. Probably the same person (Marta Z?) who responds to posts on Yelp. Contemptible and uncivil. I travel for business weekly. LF Taxi is family owned and the pride of the family is shown in how they operate. There is free Wi-Fi and bottled water for each passenger . They have a variety of vehicles available depending on your needs. We previously used limo companies and other suburban taxi companies and none of them compare with the service we have received from Lake Forest Taxi. This is my second poor experience with this company in the last 6 months. They used to be great..I'm not sure what happened? The last trip, I requested a van for u had a golf bag and. 2 suitcases..the female driver showed up with a small sedan and blamed us for the mix up. I had been a loyal customer of Lake Forest Taxi Service for a couple of years, and had always been pleased with their service and the attitude of their drivers. Upon a recent pickup from the airport, the driver dropped us at home, left our luggage in the driveway, and took off. He did not help bring the bags inside the house, as all of our prior drivers had always done. Of course, based upon this experience, I had assumed this was part of their standard service. When I called the dispatch line, I spoke with Marta, one of the owners. I reported the incident and requested a reduction in the tip I had left on the credit card payment for the poor service. She stated that they are a taxi company and that they do not require their drivers to help with luggage. She also thought it was "mean" to reduce the tip. I told her this was the first time that we received no help with luggage. She then said we should find a different car company, and hung up. Just thought people should know about the lack of loyalty to their customers. I was flabbergasted. read more
