I got through that thinking everything will be fine. By the time May of 1999, I was short of breath and my heart was racing and my legs were swollen. and I knew by then I needed to make an appointment. It progressively got worse. I decided to call Doctor Siddique who took over medical practice of Doctor Albert Behn who retired and was my Doctor for years. I drove my car to his office thinking I was not going to make it. I could barley make it from the car to his office without loosing my walking abilities. It was that bad. Doctor Siddique took one look at me and did not hesitate to have me lay on my back and immediately had an E K G test done. He quickly read it and said , you need to be taken by ambulance to the hospital right away. We have a serious problem here. After the arrival the hospital ran test after test and discovered my Lungs are 95 % blocked with blood clots. They rushed me into Critical Care and installed an I V with a heavy supply of heparin. Later than evening, it wasn't working. My condition had worsen and I could not rest. My heart was beating so fast it and enlarged the heart muscle. Doctor Siddique immediately ordered T P A, which is a clot buster given to Heart Attack patients. After injection the care nurse said, it is in God's hands now and sat with me the rest of the night. I knew then, I might not make it. The following morning a woke up and the nurse was by my side and said your awake and were going to an Echo cardiogram and see what the T P A has done. After tests, the results worked and I was on my way to recovery. When Doctor Siddique came in to see me, I grabbed his arm and thanked him and all the I. C. U staff for saving my life. I was so grateful that life was saved. Today I am on blood thinners everyday for the rest of my life. Since then I experienced two more blood clot attacks in 2000 and 2001 to the lungs and was hospitalized. It was decided to install a Vena Cava filter umbrella in my main artery. this would trap any blood clots that form in the legs and travel towards the heart so the blood thinner Coumadin can do its job by dissolving the Blood cot issue. After years of being away I returned to his office but a little too late as his office closed shortly afterwards. After decades of service he retired. I really wish he was still available as I trusted him completed. I could not say much about the staff as I only saw them twice before the closure. I found I did not have a follow up appoint scheduled after some extensive heart therapy. I will get in a week later than I hoped, since I kept dogging the issue. Otherwise it would be weeks later. One of them yanked a cath out of my arm after a blood draw and my sleeve was soaked. They've cancelled my therapy a few times. I tried to cancel it and was told I would have to pay for it because it was less then 24 hours prior. It was 19 hours prior. I have a sinus infection and I'm exhausted, but I'm going. Don't deal with these girls. It's not worth it.

My youngest son has recently had a hearing exam, and it was recommended he get hearing aids. The Libertyville audiologist said the schools use a certain type of hearing aid that she doesn't carry so we should go to the office/audiologist in Gurnee. I scheduled the appointment and we met with the audiologist there. She brought us back and the first thing out of her mouth was your insurance doesn't cover hearing aids, so I am going to create an account for you with another company. I said that seems odd to me. Especially since Illinois passed a law a few years ago that insurance companies have to offer coverage for kids. I called BCBS while sitting there and got straight though. I explained that they will cover the hearing aids. She said oh, ok. Well let's get them ordered. She had my 7-year-old son pick them out and what colors he wanted. She said we will need to come back in 2 weeks for them. When we went to leave, I asked if she will have all of the insurance info and exact amount I need to pay. She said here, Ill write it down. She gave me an amount for out of pocket. She called the other day and said they were in. I asked her if she spoke to the insurance company and how much is being covered. I wanted an exact amount. She said she couldn't ever get through to them. I said how come you didn't send a pre authorization? She then responded; we don't do that. What??? How is it over the course of 3 weeks, you couldn't ever get through to the insurance company. I had my husband call to figure out what was going on. He went back and forth. He called the billing department and they explained that every audiologist was separated from the actual doctor's office and they are all in charge of their own appointments, billing, etc. Um, OK. That would have been nice to know as well. Then finally my husband speaks to the audiologist who says, well the reason they are so expensive is because I had them expedited. So, I am going to return them and go through a 3rd party company and if you owe anything it will only be $100. Your insurance company will cover it. How would she know this when she hasn't spoken to them?!?!?!?! Well, I didn't approve of this either. None of this makes sense. Who is this 3rd party company, is it legit. Why now will I only owe $100. Will my son get what he originally picked out? All I can say is this. I'm looking for another audiologist. I am sick of this BS. This has been the most frustrating and disheartening experience I have ever had, especially with a Dr office. Especially when we find out my 7-year-old needs hearing aids, this is all new to us and has NOT been pleasant at all or easy. I DO NOT recommend Lake County ENT Gurnee to ANYONE.

Dont use IBJi is the bottom line. now I have to find a lawyer that is willing to help me in the long run. IBJI only cares about making money not about their patients.
