I looked at the website since I booked before they took over. They charged an extra $45 dollars to book. Then they charged a $175 dollar cleaning fee. Neither were previously charged. They also charged $90 for wood that had always been provided for free to. I had booked massages thru the previous lady as well. Same company and they charged almost twice the money. This is not a change for the better. I will be looking elsewhere next time. They should not have requested a review. #theyasked

We have never had any problems with the cabins that we have stayed at for all the years going. Well, this year was different. The cabin was nice but when you walked in after the entry way there was a large hump in the floor that we kept tripping on. Then we noticed that water was dripping from the ceiling. Then Sat afternoon, 2 of the 3 AC's stopped working, they froze up. I contacted the manager by text, email and calling. He never responded. I called Monday and again Tuesday, he answered and then hung up so I called again. He answered and said he would look into it. He said the hump in the floor just happened and that it was something underneath that was causing the issue. I informed him that I didn't believe that it just happened and that it was because of the AC leaking from the ceiling causing the floor to buckle. He would never take may call after that or respond to my texts. He sent me a text yesterday after I threatened to contact the BBB and to write a bad review. His text said I sent you an email, lol. His email said that his AC tech couldn't find anything wrong and that they didn't have any issues with the people that stayed there before us. With this long story, PLEASE DO NOT BOOK with Broken Bow Adventures. His voicemail and website say Luxury Cabins, they are NOT. Even in the bathrooms, they have old plastic bathtubs with showers.

The cabin has wonderful views and very secluded so I was very disappointed for the following: The outdoor sitting area was very dirty and needs power washing. The pool area was the same. No lights for sitting out at night work. You can see where there are railing lights but only a couple of harsh lights work. The staircase has no lights so pretty scary at night to go up and down this bouncy staircase. The cabin inside is okay but not luxurious in any way. The bathroom toilet was filthy and we cleaned it ourselves. The shower/tub is not overly clean and a terrible caulk job.The whole place needs lots of work. They also have a wasp problem right by the pool area. In 3 days we went through 6 cans. It could be a fantastic cabin if it were kept up with maintenance.

So, I booked the cheap $109 one. Apparently there's extra fine print somewhere that I missed but after they run your credit card, the price more than DOUBLED. A $109 cabin now costs over $200 and they sure didn't mention any of this prior to the transaction. Something about a cleaning fee, incidental fee, and probably some more fees for whatever random reason. I called back to cancel (10 days in advance) and there's $100 you aren't getting back no matter HOW far in advance you cancel. So basically, you call to book a $100 cabin and that phone call alone costs you $100. I've worked with much better in Broken Bow. Buyer beware with these guys - they like to withhold all of this info until the end of the transaction. Even when trying to cancel, they went through the whole process before they tell you that they are keeping $100 of it anyway...

But after seeing how the place was "cleaned" before we arrived it made no sense at all. Why would I contact you with a laundry list of items for a 1 night stay?The only reason we stayed for the night was because we were already booked to stay in another cabin for the rest of the week. Our reason? We were going to be in Broken Bow to look at properties for sale and the one we stayed in is for sale and from the pictures, we were really interested in it. As I have said, it was not good. If you are the owner of the cabin I would think you would want it to be in much better shape for prospective buyers. If you do not own it, then you should let the owners know that it's in need of a really good cleaning and several repairs. The upside to this is that we quickly marked this cabin off the list and found one that we now have a contract on.

The cabin itself was beautiful and very private, 2 bedrooms, 2.5 bath, and sleeps 4 adults. The fully stocked kitchen allowed me to cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner so we never had to leave. The master bedroom is huge and has a gas fireplace. There is also a sliding glass door from the master bedroom to the outside patio to the hot tub. We felt very secluded and it was the perfect weekend getaway. We went hiking in the Beaver Bend State Park up the Mountain Fork river. We will be going back!!

The drive around the town is pretty cool with all the nature and lake views. Restaurants serve good seafood , fresh and yummy. I really recommend this place to everyone. Best experience so far! Too bad we can only stay for 2 nights because we had to get home and work on New Year's eve.

At that time we attempted to change the dates so we picked a time that was available on their calendar but they declined the change and then blocked off all available dates. They refused to assist us in any way and said there was nothing they could do. But the change was at their discrection they just chose not to. Do not book with this company, their customer service is terrible! At this point we are going to try to make it to the cabin and hope we get there safely.
