They have various clubs for students to engage in, the school is huge and Ms Rivera was very instrumental in making sure my child's transition to classes were smooth as well as promptly handling any issues related to academics. She was great and very professional ! My child is currently adjusting to the school well. I also love how there is a process dedicated to ensuring the safety of drivers and pedestrians but today was different. One of the security guys; not the elder looking one with the glasses but another one who usually directs the flow of traffic with him and is usually pleasant (look kind of like Steve Harvey, bald head) was not so pleasant today. Before today there are times when I payed attention to see that he has only been attentive to one side in regards to flow. Never said anything just used my driving skills. Today was a day I had to look both ways as I usually do then look ahead to see if I could go and because his attention was elsewhere. I saw that there was no traffic or students so I proceeded to go without his instruction and immediately I assume because I had shades on he thought that I wasn't paying attention. He was very rude and nasty and questioned my ability to see although I continued to be polite so after a while I disregarded EVERYTHING he said after because at this point you are arguing while children are trying to cross and drivers are leaving with their families. I took off my glasses to show you that I see you. He also went as far as to say that "if you have a problem my boss name is yadada Yadaaa ya". So I'm like ok. You are too comfortable giving me your boss name as if I'm not going to call and you're flat out yelling in the middle of you needing to focus on traffic. Immediately while driving home I gave a call to the head of security and he seemed to be receptive of my complaint. Hopefully before the security gets out of character next time he'll think twice and look both ways before he gets mad at a driver for exercising their discernment on whether to proceed against the road or not because I was in the right. At the end of the day no one was hurt or injured because the path was clear. You can't direct traffic and only pay attention to one side. Also as a person that deals with people on a day to day basis you should know how to bite your tongue get out of your personal feelings to ensure everyone is safe instead of arguing with me having students confused as to if they can cross or not because you are angry.

We have some of the best teachers I've ever seen. We do NOT do fast food, I bust my butt every day putting out homemade, healthy, well balanced meals. (Yes I am the chef). The middle school failed my child this school year. Multiple complains to the principal resulted in NOTHING! Only a check mark talk with the offenders and the vicious cycle goes on. It's a disgrace that teachers only promote their favorites to win competitions like Science fair. The middle school drastically lacked any fun or engaging events, fundraisers or activities that encouraged team work and inclusion of parents. There was only one field trip throughout the year and no promised end of year concert that even public schools have. The end of year award ceremony was unfairly selective. Throughout the year we got Zero photos from any teacher showing a school day, so it feels like this year just fell out equation with no memories to look back to. There's no graduation ceremony for 5th graders either, which they truly deserve. Since the new owner took over, the school environment (especially in upped grades) is rapidly deteriorating. And it's not surprising, the owner lives outside the country and rarely shows up. My gut feeling was right when I checked the school website before we enrolled and it was generic. And that's how this year felt, generic! A generic website with no teacher names, stock photos of students, there's nothing there that shows actual student life or curriculum or shows any photos of the teachers. This place is about squeezing every dollar they can from paying parents, while failing on delivering the fair support and equal opportunities every student deserves.

You no longer enter the main doors when you come here for a sporting event located in the gym, they have you enter the side door and everything is contained to that one hallway and the gym itself. One way in and one way out so they can control the influx of people. I can not tell you about the rest of the school since my visit was contained, but I do like the changes they have made.
