I'm not from this area or anywhere nearby, and overall the stores around here seemed okay--until I visited the Treasure Marts / Wildwood Antique Mall. At first, I saw a few items I liked, but the experience quickly went downhill. My friend and I were not greeted when we entered or when we left, even though we watched other customers receive a warm welcome. Then, I accidentally bumped into something, and instead of checking if I was okay, the staff at the registers laughed and whispered to each other. It was uncomfortable and unprofessional. I won't be returning. It's disappointing because I came in with high hopes that people here would be friendlier than what I'm used to back home, but the rudeness and lack of basic acknowledgment proved otherwise. I thought I had already reviewed this place. I like how the owners are trying hard to keep this place from floundering. They hold events ( fashion show when we were there ), they are keeping vacancy low, with some interesting stores one would not have seen in a mall back in the day. It is not one of these desolate malls with mostly rolled down grates and piles of shelving in the dark interior. There is a pulse to the place. The bookstore is a draw as it is so large ( and sometimes has kittens on Saturdays ). The shoestore is big too. The Belk is hanging in there, they have closed some entrances and fitting rooms, but it is not all stained carpets and broken shelving like one would see at Sears at the end. read more

If your Spanish do not go in lake square mall without id. I was with Spanish friends security not cops ask them for id . They did not ask me I'm white. They stopped all Spanish people. Is that considered racial discrimination. And my friends buy a lot of stuff there. Especially clothes. They won't go there again they said. So I'm letting everyone know do not go there unless u want to be asked and stopped by there mall security. This was yesterday. Simply amazing. I am so sad malls are seeming to slowly fade away !! I've gone here countless, and yes, countless times, to get things from books to food to various items in Bath and Body Works, and sometimes go to the arcade and have been with family in the arcade as they bowl in the bowling alley. And I know it's not just me, as my friends post their experiences there and it's never been negative. The service of the mall is amazing, EVERYONE is nice. It's actually so nice there!! The memories of this mall are priceless, nothing could add a price to them. So much fun, will always remember this mall even when I'm older. 6/5 for me!!! read more

There are several lukewarm or even worse reviews of the Lake Square Mall, but I have A more positive take on it. I don't have to shop trendy stores for teenagers or struggle with gift-giving for hard to please family and friends. I think the new owners deserve credit for trying, as these are tough times for shopping malls. For example, the fairly new Top Ten clothing store is a nice addition: with not quite as much variety as it could have for men, but good prices for someone like me who usually shops for clothes at thrift stores. And as a senior (hard as it is for me to believe), who prefers seeing movies in the a,m. with no crowds, I can't beat the price of AMC theatre. It is even a bit less than a Epic, which is several miles closer to me. We also shop sometimes at the pet store at this mall for specialty items. If the bowling alley was candlepin like we had back home instead of big ball ten pin, I would go there for that also. And of course there are fast food and chain restaurant options nearby as well, and Ichiban buffet if you like that. We also had a meal at a a Cuban restaurant called Pichy's in the mall once and that was good. Plus our favorite vet is across the street on Radio Road, so while Lake Square might not be a destination in itself for us, there are reasons to go there so I hope it thrives in the long run. read more

The exterior is run down, but that seems to be a common theme for the area. The interior is clean and well maintained until you get to the food court restrooms, which are pretty rough. Very weak line up of stores and only operating at around fifty percent capacity. The vacant store fronts have pleasant window displays or cover-ups, which would be nice if it was only a few. As it stands, there are so many that you can tell that this facility is in [or should be in] its final stages of death. The pictures are from a weekends night. The mall that refused to die! This place has tenacity! The " anchor" stores(very loose interpretation) are Blech,Petsmart and Booksamillion. This mall is where Spirit Halloween sets up annualy. So you'd think,undead zombie all should garner,what;say a 2 star review at best? Well,ok;I get that...BUT....This little mall that try's desperately to cling on routinely has little pop up events,tries new tactics,opens it doors to small business ventures without turning itself into a flea market. It allows would be entrepreneurs to take a shot at business ownership. In that,you can find some very unique offerings and experiences(the barber shop is always abuzz).Right now there's several new businesses selling lots of hand made this and that's. The property is vastly outdated(and not in any nostalgic kind of way)but you know,I say kudos!Kudos for refusing to die on the vine. Kudos for thinking outside the box with continued re-imagination. Sadly this mall is among the last of dying malls in the Orlando / Central Florida area. While it's holding strong with keeping several brand name stores, one end of the mall is all but empty and it's pretty obvious this place hasn't seem a remodel in ages. Parking is easy to find and theater has 12 screens so that's a good draw. Hubs like Sears are holding down the fort to bring in customers, but even during the busy holiday time not many shoppers had bags in hand. I feel like with a revamp and a pull of more regular brand stores would do wonders here, but it's unlikely to happen. Overall: B- Among the list of dying indoor malls. read more

I live around 15 minutes from this mall and I do enjoy it. This mall has a food court, an arcade and , a good amount of stores. Although I think it's a pretty cool mall, it is pretty empty if I'm being honest. The mall is pretty big but it almost feels dead due to not many people. Just moved here from a smaller populated New England area than here. After reading about the new renovations and additional 30 stores to be added I was excited to see it. Went there tonight and I could have cried. Where are the staple American Eagle, Abercrombie. Hollister, Old Navy, Hot Topics, Journey for my teens clothing?? No staple restaurants here either?? I'd been wanting to go out to Leesburg for years, and I finally got the chance to on the day after Christmas. I figured, "Why not check out their mall?", so, I took a trip there. It's a one level mall and there aren't a lot of stores. It wasn't crowded at all, but, there were more people there than there usually are at Fashion Square. I like this mall because it still has a Belk, which most malls, especially Florida malls, lack. They also have a Target, which I'd never seen inside a mall. They're closing it on 2/3/14, which is sad. They don't have a lot of the stores I like, such as Aeropostale, American Eagle, Hollister and Hot Topic, but, at least they still have Bath & Body Works. The food court isn't much. I only saw about 5 or 6 restaurants. They have a movie theater, which is most likely what keeps the mall open. I'll have to go back before the mall closes, and from the looks of it, that could be any day now. read more

Nice small town mall. One level - a bit quiet. Anchors are Target, Sears, Belk, and JC Penney. Usually I find what I need there without going to a bigger mall. This mall is nothing special to make an extra trip to unless it is opening night for an expected blockbuster movie. The mall theatres are always clean and rarely crowded. Great mall for locals. Protip: if you're looking for the Starbucks, it's inside Target. If you're looking for shopping... well, at least they have a Target. My boss and I were in this area visiting a vendor and after leaving, needed coffee/tea for the drive back to Orlando. We were given the general mall address by my GPS and wandered around for a bit, pontificating on the tumbleweeds before finally finding a mall directory and reaching our beverage destination. Now the "ViaPort", and it's under new ownership. Well, does this mean it's better? Nope. There's still nothing special about it whatsoever. In fact, since 2007, I think Lake Square Mall has gone way downhill. Lots of places have gone out of business. Garfield's Restaurant, the Tilt arcade (which wasn't a very good arcade either) and even Target. Target? How can THAT go out of business in a mall and not Sears? I have a memory of playing Sega Rally in the Tilt arcade with my dad, but the graphics on that game were broken. When I last visited that arcade in 2009, only a row of games was present with all of the other games slammed wall-to-wall. And then, when I went back the following year--I saw nothing but crane machines. That arcade slowly died off. I do, however, like the addition of the new entertainment complex with an arcade and bowling lanes, but there are also the AMC movie theaters here. Sounds exciting enough. Oh, the food court--I've never heard of "Taco Tono". No brand name restaurants here. Not even Sbarro's or Chic-fil-A. I'd even be skeptical of trying a single one of these restaurants. This mall still needs to get a bit of its act together. I see lots of vacant buildings. How about Hot Topic? Spencer Gifts? This mall's missing a lot. read more

It's great the mall has new owners and new stores. However. I'm a northerner. And our stores open at 9 am 7 days a week! Sunday's too! Waiting for 11 am Or noon on Sunday is ridiculous! Especially during holiday season! It's like throwback time 50 years ago when blue laws were in effect. I know people go to church Sunday mornings here. But there are MANY of us who don't. And want to shop. You will fail here again if you dont extend your hours! I'll go elsewhere. Been sitting here half hour waiting for stores to open. I won't do it again. read more

Meh, this mall is a hit and miss the movie theatre has just been revamped and it's pretty much the only reason we go their. We don't have any other close movie theaters. The entertainment area/ the arcade is okay it's fun for a few hours, but overall is pretty small and there's not much to do. Bowling's pretty fun too. They just added go carts which are really fun, but a bit overpriced. My mom occasionally shops around at bath and body works and other shops. They have just a lot of little dinky shops in the middle and not a lot else if they added some more fun stores like maybe a thrift store in there, I'd definitely love to have one of those. read more

This used to be the hub of Lake County shopping, but now it's a ghost town. Target is an anchor store and they have a thrift store, 2 things I have never seen in a mall. the food court has restaurants that have never been heard of before. They do however, have a fantastic movie theater. read more

There was a similar mall in Anaheim, CA that was torn down, except for one anchor store, then rebuilt as a strip mall. Believe it or not, as a strip mall, it has been jammed. Go figure! LOL! read more

Security is great and helpful. Sears, Belk and Penny's are nice and clean. If they do not have what you want you can order for store pick up. Great movie theater and bowling alley. I was impressed by the way I was treated at all stores. Many fresh antiques from Turkey. Food stores inside could be better, however near by are great eateries. Children are well behaved and not troublesome as in larger Malls across the country. Make it a day trip with your gran parents, Many elderly shop there and drive their Golf Karts, that live next door in the gated Community. I will move there because of the serenity.
