Not sure how that happened, but it was on there and I happened to catch the second half of the song after coming back from the photo booth. It's not that he is a bad DJ, but we were very disappointed because he did not implement the details of our event...sticking to our playlist, not letting songs go on and on, the format of the Anniversary dance, etc. We were very clear from the beginning about what we wanted, and went over things a few different times, including providing him with written directions that anyone could follow. When we followed up and expressed our disappointment, Dylan did not try to make up for it. We feel like we did not get the service that we paid for and were assured that we would receive. We requested a song that we found from youtube and Ryan had no problem playing that for our processional and recessional song and it sounded great! We had something of an unusual combination of themes, with retro video games and prohibition-era cocktails, and Ryan nailed it. Dylan played music for our ceremony & reception. He seems to be super low key and goes with the flow. It was a destination wedding so I wasn't able to meet him in person, just went off all the good reviews the company had and talked to him briefly over the phone. My husband & I created a playlist which he stuck to and he was able to keep people dancing all night long. I really really enjoyed our music! The only downside is that our first dance somehow became warped and then the song the wedding party walked out to started to play in the middle of our first dance. Not sure what happened, but we decided to go with it and eventually the correct song started playing. It's kind of a funny story now, but hey if that's our only hiccup of the wedding day, we'll take it! I still stay he is worth the five star review and I absolutely don't regret booking him for our wedding, I would choose him again! To start, I'm not quite sure what that previous review was all about. My wife and I recently got married at the beautiful Tahoe Donner Lodge in Truckee and Ryan Palmer acted as MC and DJ. Ryan was initially very thorough regarding music selection, time frames, certain announcements, etc. He covered everything necessary that a wedding reception needed. We were impressed by his attention to detail. On the day of the wedding he was on time and provided perfectly timed MC announcements and the perfect natural progression of music choices, some requested some not. Example- family friendly music early on that evolved into a fantastic dance party late night. He even improvised when asked and nailed it.
