Nothing says romance like having gorgeous flowers delivered on a random Tuesday. Boy, was I happy to answer my door and not see a salesperson! The flowers were absolutely amazing. Full bouquet of various types of flowers- some had bloomed and some hadn't, which meant the flowers would last even longer. My flowers lasted about two weeks. I used this place because of the yelp reviews. I placed an order online at about 7:30am. The arrangement wasn't delivered until about 2:30pm. I had it delivered to my wife's job, which is located in the same area. When she received the flowers, she had no idea who they were from. I was really trying to do something special for her and it didn't work out too well. As you can see in the photo, the message was totally botched. On June 18th, 2019, I received a beautiful orchid arrangement that I had also received last year. The next day, the orchids started falling and it was obvious they were not fresh. I called that day and the next day and left several messages describing the problem and that I needed a call back. Nobody ever contacted me. The arrangement soon after was thrown away. FANTASTIC LOCAL FIND - BEAUTIFUL ARRANGEMENT - PRICED RIGHT!!! Lake View Florist is a Mom and Pop shop (Ana, Michael, & counting Lola their furkid) whose owners ensure everything is done right and take the extra effort to make orders personalized. I am a 1 time patron, but will use them as my primary floral shop because of my experience... First off... I don't typically go out of my way to buy flowers. When I do it is usually bringing home the "special" supermarket roses that wilt within a few days and smell about as fragrant as the cardboard boxes they were shipped in. However, this time it was for our anniversary and I knew this required making the extra effort of actually going to a florist (Oh, No!). I thought of a few places but, then on my way to an appointment, I saw a retail sign on San Marcos Blvd off Rancho Santa Fe for Lake View Florist (I drive past this almost daily and only saw it first time that day). I decided to give them a try and am so very happy that I did. Michael asked what I wanted and about how much I would like to spend. He then walked around the shop to locate the perfect vase while Ana skillfully selected and began prearranging the flowers. Ana stopped talked to Michael then he disappeared into the back of the store and the next thing I saw was Ana removing everything and starting over. She saw me watching and asked if she could use some different greenery (my words, she gave the plant name) in the arrangement. I said "Sure, but since our furkid tends to eat flowers etc. please make sure they are not toxic to pets". While they were checking on that, a person came in and urgently wanted only a few Sunflowers to bring to her daughter but she was late for their lunch. A long story shortened... for a couple of extra dollars the woman got a very wonderful small table arrangement (instead of a few flowers) and left with a huge smile! Meanwhile, for the same price that Michael and I had agreed to, my seemingly simple long stem red roses in a vase had become an absolutely stunning display piece of 12 red and 6 white long stem roses surrounded with fern leaves and intermixed with some incredible other greenery with little showy flower clusters all standing in an awesome Solbika 14" twisted square Vase. Oh, and I almost forgot, the Roses smelled like roses!! Needless to say, my bride was exceedingly impressed and the flowers stayed fresh for almost 2 weeks (your mileage may vary). Walked in two days before Opening Day for the Del Mar races and asked if it was possible to get a fresh arrangement on the hat i was planning on wearing. One that would not only last in the heat during the day but would also match with my outfit and wouldn't cost me an arm and leg. My roommate then came in the day after (1 day before the races) to get her hat done too. Couldn't have been more satisfied with the hats. They were absolutely GORGEOUS! They had never done anything like this before and I was rather surprised how well the arrangements kept during the day and even a day or so after the event. Definitely recommend. Adorable family. Spoke to the owner yesterday afternoon about small flower order for my daughters wedding Thursday, very simple order. She told me to text her in the morning to confirm if I wanted to place an order. I texted at 9:26 this morning to confirm my order and also sent a photo of a simple bouquet. Didn't hear back so I called at 1:51 to confirm the order. Her husband told me they never got my text and unfortunately couldn't help me, have another order to do. Said they couldn't order the flowers because the wholesaler was closed at 2pm, again, I called at 1:51! They must have gotten a better, bigger order and blew mind off. Clearly they don't need the business to have done this. Extremely disappointed they did this, would never recommend them, extremely unprofessional. In today's world of technology, hard to believe they didn't get my text. My cell said the text was delivered, end of story. read more

I used Lake View Florist for my wedding a month ago and I have to say, my wedding would not have been what it was without them. I am by no means a "visionary" so when I walked into the shop I had no idea what I wanted for my wedding. Ana sat with me for like 2 hours while I tried to decide what I would want to see at my wedding. We came up with a plan, but I just couldn't visualize what the flowers would look like. They were more than accommodating to my budget even though I wanted feathers in my bouquet. Seriously, they made it happen. Throughout my planning process, Ana was right there to keep me updated on everything that was going on and she would take the time to ask me how things were going and if I needed anything. When my wedding day came around, I was completely stunned by everything that they brought. It was everything from a wedding you would see out of the movies. I wanted to cry when I saw my bouquet, I was so in love with it. I had originally told them I didn't need flower petals for my flower girl and the night before the wedding I realized I still didn't have any so I texted Ana immediately. She already had me covered. What is really great is that not only do they really know what they are doing and create beautiful arrangements, but Ana and her husband are such sweet caring people. It was more than a business transaction for them, they truly know how to connect with their clients and make people happy.
