Lake Point has new management as of about a month ago and I can honestly say that they are working really hard at getting this Park in shape so I highly recommend you give it a try. I was originally going to stay a week, but everything froze, things kept happening out of our control, but happy they let us stay longer. Very welcoming family feel, great staff. My kids love that they had toys and books in the game room..tv, free coffee, arcade games. Our water froze and we had to come use the showers which are very nice, new and clean. It's very close to a lake you can walk to, lots to do. We loved it and will be back. We liked that it was close to Dallas/Fort Worth area but far away for a good country feel. read more

I cannot speak highly enough of Lake Point RV Resort. We stayed for nearly a year, and moved out to pursue some amazing opportunities. After seeing what else in terms of RV sites there are in the Gainesville, Valley View area, as well as our experiences with these parks, I can only say that Lake Point exceeds expectations. When there's a problem, staff are always ready to help out, whether it's with the site or otherwise. We recently stayed at another park, and our breaker kept tripping every 5 - 10 minutes all night long. We could not even keep either of our ACs on at all in the summer in Texas! Instead of helping us out, diagnosing if the pedestal was problematic, or allowing us to use our generator to combat the heat, they told us we should leave. I know that would NEVER happen at Lake Point, which is why we came back! 10 out of 10 would recommend to anyone looking for a site in the area of Valley View, Sanger, Gainesville. I'm posting this as someone who has frequently visited and has stayed at the Lake Point RV "Resort"... We have seen this park at it's prime, and unfortunately are experiencing it at it's worst. The management in charge of up-keeping the property needs to questioned. They are unapproachable, never in the office during hours, and overall just not holding up their end of the bargain (considering they stay here for free to manage everything). 1. The 24/7 Laundry Room: HARDLY EVER WORKS! The machines are quite expensive to use, but I wouldn't have a problem paying if they actually worked. I've easily lost over $100 on these machines because they malfunction, or because the wifi/bluetooth goes out. We never get our funds returned - even if brought up. 2. The Playground: It is constantly covered in spiders, and is overgrown to the point were the kids can't play there due to fear of spiders and snake bites. 3. The Dog Park: A LITERAL POOP SHOW, with lack of better words. The trashcans are constantly overflowing, and the doggy bags are always empty. The trashcans will sit full for weeks at a time. The gravel walk way to the park is so grown up (and has been for a while) to the point you cannot even see it. 4. The Clubhouse/Common Area: We used to love going there to enjoy coffee and stretch our legs, but now we avoid it completely. The coffee, water, cups, and napkins are always empty. The locks have been broken for MONTHS, which is a huge security issue. The bathrooms are disgusting, and again - always out of napkins. 5. Landscaping: The trails are overgrown, and riddled with snakes. There are multiple empty rv spots that are so overgrown you can barely see the gravel. When it is "mow day", the park is never fully mowed - only sections at a time. 6. There is a wooden fence at the front (visible to the road) that has been broken for months. It looks so trashy, and is such a simple fix. I am not exaggerating when I say there a multiple families frustrated with the above issues. As I know many who call this their home, and want to love living here again, we really need the owners to step in and bring it back to what it used to be. We need someone who has the energy, passion, and time to upkeep the property properly. If the upkeep is too much for management to handle, I would suggest offering families a chance to pitch in to discount their site fee, free laundry, or an upgraded site. The community here is so great, and I know many would be happy to pitch in. This review will absolutely get adjusted to a higher rating when the above issues are corrected and maintained. Lake Point RV Resort has such great potential. I'm really hoping for improvement. read more

Very clean, the community room and showers are amazing. I didn't try the laundry. Every other Sunday they do doughnuts. Coffee is available 24/7 in the community room. The shower rooms are top notch and I recommend using these showers. Trust me. read more
