Par 3 holes 2 and 6 really stood out on the Oak 9, and hole 2 on the Pine 9 presents you with an interesting tee off option with a stand of trees in the middle about a 150 yards out. Play it safe and go right, or can you hit your drive past the moguls and sand traps to the left? I'd definitely want to play it again the next time I'm back up that way to check out the Maple 9

I found the back nine to be harder than the front. The forward tees were 5300 yards which is quite long. The course was in good shape. Greens, fairways, and most tee boxes were well maintained. We played in a reasonable amount of time, slightly less than four hours. We were a twosome and a foursome a couple of holes ahead of us seemed to slow things down. Lots of twosomes on the course. Staff was great. The clubhouse is quite small and not a lot to choose from for eating and drinks. No drink cart. No water on the course. No GPS in carts. Liked the prairie views and openness of the course.

Btw, sanctuaries are small businesses too, but they manage to use humane enclosures that suit the needs of the animals.

I love this lake :D…read more Low boat traffic, good people, a sandy beach on the south shore, and good fishing! You'll find plenty of Northern Pike, Sunnies, Crappies, Bass, and the occasional Walleye. Lake Maud is a hidden paradise!
