Computer didn't work. I had to switch bays which took about 15 minutes of my time. Other than that hiccup it was a good experience.

STOP!!! READ THIS BEFORE YOU CONSIDER THIS COURSE!!! AVOID!!!…read more BOTTOM LINE: BETH, COURSE OWNER, DOES NOT CARE ABOUT GOLFER SAFETY. SAFETY: We were on hole 10 and had just let the group behind us play through. We teed off, hit a couple of balls that we needed to be look for, and about 2 minutes into our search, the group behind us hit into us. A ball nearly hit my head. It was so close, I could hear it. I've been golfing for 40+ years and I have NEVER had the following experiences: The group that hit into us didn't realize it, even though they watched us tee off. To be fair, it was a blind shot that you need to drive up to verify the group in front of you is out of harms' way to ensure it doesn't present a safety issue, but I digress. Under golf rule 18.2, we have 3 minutes to look for the ball (formerly 5 minutes). We were about one minute into looking for our ball and a ball whizzed about 1.5 feet from my head (WTF!?!?!?!) DISCUSSION: While I've had a similar situation happen before, I've never had someone not apologize, even when the situation and danger of the shot was emphasized. UN-effing-REAL!!! Instead, one man from the group became combative. (WHAT!?!?!). He eventually admitted to hitting into us because we were "playing so fucking slow." GOLF FORMAT: We were playing as a 4 some, 2 man scramble format. We were NOT playing slow, but that is not the point. Suggested playtime for Wild Flower is 4:15-4:30 min. We finished in 4:20, well within the suggested playtime for this course, even though we let the group behind us play through at the turn. We had multiple interactions with this COMBATIVE INDIVIDUAL, who waited for us behind the green at the 18th hole, at which point we exchanged words. He informed us that his LAWYER was playing in the group behind us if we had issue with him, which I welcomed... (insert eye roll) WILD FLOWER MANAGEMENT: Beth, course owner and owner of Fair Hills, offered to comp us 9 holes. I refused. I don't need the money. I don't want the lackluster gesture. RESULT: What I want is golf etiquette to be at the forefront and emphasized in golf, just like it was when I was 6 learning to golf. Wild Flower does little to uphold standards. Golf has been around since 1457. I'd like to think that what I saw today on Wild Flower/Fair Hills golf course is aberrant, but given Beth's attitude toward the situation, I think it warrants a recommendation to drive a few extra miles into DL. Cheers, Matt O. PS- This COMBATIVE INDIVIDUAL was a member of Wild Flower. The owner, Beth, knew who he was. He gave us his ADDRESS on Pelican Point and invited us to "visit." I summarily decline. I have GOLF ETIQUETTE and will not stoop to that level.
