An okay hotel with nothing overly special about it. I stayed here for a wedding for a total of three days and used most of the services.
The good: Rooms were excellent, and had great views over the lake. Bathrooms were also great and the infinity shower head was a nice touch. Hotel grounds were very clean, and most staff were very nice and helpful.
The bad: Lots of the hotel hallways and the pool/gym area are very dated. I have no idea why the pool/gym closes at 10 pm either when there's no staff in the room to begin with; just make it 24/7, you need your access card to open the door anyway. There really isn't that much parking, as its a shared site with a bar, liquor shop out the front and the restaurant.
At the restaurant, we had the absolute rudest person serve us. I think he was the manager as all floor staff answered to him throughout the night.
To start, he almost refused to let us order more drinks after desert because he said the coffee machine was off (it wasn't, as they hadn't even started cleaning it or anything else in the restaurant) then when it came time to pay the bill, I was almost forced to pay on credit because its apparently "too late to go on savings, you'll have to pay credit".
It was only after repeatedly saying you can press cancel on the EFTPOS machine and put it on savings like I had asked, that it finally was paid for.
Hotel facilities were good, experience was bad. Bummer. View was so lovely though! read more
