Amazing experience. Most urgent cares aren't open this late. They are open till 10:00pm, which we appreciate greatly. We went in at 9:02pm and left by 9:50pm. The front desk staff were so kind, the nurses were respectful, kind, and experienced. The doctor was informed, efficient, and very helpful. My boyfriend got 6 stitches with amazing care. No one wants to visit an urgent care, but as far as urgent cares go, this place rocks. I went to my doctor first as I was having some back pain, and of course he was on his what seemed like 3rd vacation in a few months, so I saw the nurse practitioner. They were super busy and I felt as though they were just rushing me out and didn't actually help me, nor truly listen to what was happening. Instead of waiting for my actual doctor to return I simply googled urgent cares in my area. I found Lakes Urgent Care and it was very close to my house. I had a far better experience than at my actual doctors office. Upon entering you have to have your temperature checked. On top of actually helping me get the right prescriptions, everyone just seems overall more friendlier from the medical assistants to the physicians. I was in and out in a matter of 30 or 40 so minutes. I can't remember anyone's name for the life of me, but the staff here seemed genuinely concerned about my well being and gave me a ton of information regarding back safety, ect.. Besides their staff being the nicest people ever.. this place is janky. I had a 102 temp, swollen lymph nodes, corona negative strep negative from a previous doc visit days earlier. They rapid tested for mono and flu also negative. Apparently they couldn't take or run my blood because their machines have been down for months..wtf? At an urgent care? Do not go here you'll literally waste your money and end up at another urgent care or the hospital. I ended up having to go to Henry Ford after leaving this urgent care because they literally gave me no information on my illness and scared the crap out of me saying I may have cancer. Thankfully I don't. So upsetting that the owners of this place don't give the staff what they need to provide legitimate care. read more

There will be absolutely no way I will ever go back. The waiting room was overflowing with a ton of sick people, everything looked extremely dirty and old, and the exam rooms were absolutely trashed. The garbage's were overflowing, the exam table had sticky stuff all over it and looked like it was barely wiped down from the previous patient, and they disinfect the exam rooms where Covid and flu patients are??? Clorox wipes have been proven effective at killing most germs. Absolutely do not go here unless you want to get a secondary infection from something else. read more

My wife and I went here on the same day and we had two very different experiences I had Dr Eric and he was very good respectful and informative and he took care of all my needs On the other hand my loving wife had a female Dr who's name was not given and we didn't get the paperwork with her name on it She was very rude and acted like she was angry My wife was disrespected and she felt the anger in her voice It seemed as though the Dr didn't like Latina's or something My wife thought that maybe she was racist It is sad that this could happen in a good clinic My experience is 5 star and my loving wife's is 1 so the average is a 3 Hope the female Dr will seek help with her bedside manner and learn to care or get out read more

This is the worst Urgent Care ever. I would give it less than 1 star if I could. My husband is a known heart patient who tested positive for Covid. He was given no advice or treatment other than to go home and tough it out". Heart patients are at high risk of developing severe Covid and should be treated aggressively. Called ahead of time to make sure they we open and not busy for an ear infection/swollen/sore throat she said of course come right in. I arrived at 6:35pm I had been there 4 months prior for the first time for a TB test eveything went amazing the two time I came in for that in the past. They took me back to the room and vitals @ 6:50 (looking at my paperwork currently) tested me for mono & Strept @7pm. Doctor finally came back @ 740 and said both came back negative I don't know what you have just gargle with salt water and come back in 3 days if you're not better. I just started crying he told me to wait as they finished up my paper work...got to the Window 7:45pm they have no paperwork no information on me I told them I have been there for over an hour in the worst pain ever I can't swallow and you guys said you can't do anything for me after making me wait in a room for an hour for nothing!! A Covid + person walked into the waiting room this evening to pick up his test results. No protocol was in place to stop this from happening. No apology was offered. They had a long table and chair near the entrance which I would assume should be used to stop patients and screen them prior to entering...but it was unattended. No patient screening was done whatsoever...just take your chances of being exposed to whoever decides to walk in. Absolutely UNACCEPTABLE-do yourself a favor and go to Emcura-an urgent care that actually cares about their patients. No one with any symptoms from the waist up are allowed into the clinic. They will see/treat you carside. read more

I walked in and was greeted by the friendly office staff! As soon as I was called back the PA that saw me had nothing nice to say ... telling me I'm not even sick, he's not sure why I came in . I had a fever and the jerk of a PA, would not write me a work note or give me antibiotics. As soon as I checked out I told the receptionist about my experience. The PA came over and started a fight with me . The receptionist apologized for his rudeness and said don't worry we will take care of you . After 10 minutes I walked out with a doctors note and a prescription. The PA sent it to a CVS that was on the other side of Novi , not something I requested. I appreciate the nice office staff, but I will not be back. ** update! I called the hospital recently to let them know I had influenza b . The medicine that was prescribed to me for was not what I needed . I'm confused why the owner is now saying you no record of me when I just called and talked to the secretary a couple days ago, good thing she remembered me! read more

(Writing on behalf of two of their "non-existent" customers) This place is absolutely the most unorganized urgent care ever. Nicole, who picks up the phone calls, is the absolute worst when it comes to having a simple conversation. She has literally no customer service skills. She better not blame it on a bad day either because it was 3 days out of a week and a half when we called for information. She immediately started the conversations off with an attitude. Disgusting. Get a career where you don't have to interact with anyone, please. Don't project your misery onto your customers. Anyways, went to get tested here for COVID-19. Two people. Person A and Person B. Person B got negative results back in 3ish days via phone call. They then call back and said they made a mistake and those results are actually someone else's. But they found Person B's results and it's still negative. Person A still hasn't received any results. Decided to call the urgent care to see if the results for Person A are in. That's when Nicole comes into the picture. Don't have to explain that again. Person B decided to call and ask why Person A results aren't in when they literally got tested within 5 seconds apart. The urgent care (Most likely Nicole) then says WE DON'T HAVE EITHER OF YOU ON FILE. YOU DIDN'T GET TESTED HERE. So then who's results did y'all provide for Person B a week back? Lmaooooo. Insane. That's all. Edit: Gave an additional star for the student nurse. Forgot his name unfortunately. (Why do we always remember the bad ones). He was extremely professional. Really good dude. I have been here before and had good experiences. I guess it depends on who you get to treat you. This time I was treated by a female nurse practitioner. I had been taking an antibiotic and it wasn't working. I went in stating that it was not strong enough and that I was getting worse. The nurse practitioner felt I had a virus elven though I tested negative for Covid and flu. I did not feel I needed those tests by the way. What I have is bacterial and needed a stronger antibiotic. I know because I get this once a year. She still didn't want to treat it. I was having pain with inhaling and exhaling. She basically said if I didn't like it I could go to the ER. What bad advice and a waste of an ER's resources when I could have been treated there! Not sure what is wrong with prescribing antibiotics when a person needs it. Once a year is not going to cause antibiotic resistance if they are taken properly. I also have an autoimmune condition and cannot sit back for a "wait and see"" approach. The moral to this story is listen to your patients instead of letting your own ego get in the way. Very disappointed! read more

With the ER's overcrowded with vaccine refusers, crowding out people with ordinary medical needs, I needed stitches in the evening. I was told by the time they got to me in the ER, it would be too late to stitch. They said go to urgent care. This was the only place open. The doctor kept dropping the needle, could not stitch the entire torn area. I have a huge scar. Was the doctor drunk or just incompetent? Either way, Awful experience. read more

The doctors/nurses are nice and the office is clean. However, they take you back quickly but they'll leave you in a room for an hour waiting. The lady at the front desk is extremely unprofessional. Sometimes you're going in to see the doctor for personal reasons you don't want announced until front of people and you best believe she will want you to go into detail about why you're there. In my opinion that is what should be talked about in back, confidentially. She also will read your home address out loud for everyone to hear. I'd assume it's against HIPPA to release personal information but this lady just screams it for everyone to hear. read more

I wish I could give negative stars! Came for my first visit WITH all my previous medical records and very current lab results (less than 30 days old). I finally meet with the practitioner, an hour after I arrived for my appointment. As soon as she walked in she was scolding me for my medical issues. I have a thyroid problem. She then wanted to run every kind if unnecessary testing. Made it as though my health was so dire, I could drop dead at any moment. REALLY?!? I just moved nearby and needed a new primary to continue my thyroid scripts. Hence the reason I brought all CURRENT lab work and medical records. I went to Lakes for a co-vid test with my partner.I was told it was covered by Medicare. After listening to my lungs, the doctor heard some wheezing and offered to send a script out neglecting to tell me it would cost 65 dollars to write the script. Had she told me, I could have called my own doctor who would not have charged 65 dollars to write a script It sounds excessive. my partner didn't pay a cent The doctor did the exact procedures with him minus the script I left feeling like the bill was padded. If you want answers to why your sick or any kind of help for your that matters this is not the he place. When in with what I thought was an ear infection and was sent away with an "ears look find probably just a cold/viral." I was at an ENT a week later! And again, against my better judgement, I took my son there in a Saturday night. He had a sore those and fever. Strep test was negative but they would run a 24 test also. Gave him Amox just in case. Luckily I gave my son the full 10days of the Rx. I received a call 9 days after our appt that his 24 hr strep test came back positive. (Not to mention it was like we were holding them all up from heading out for a Saturday night. ) Never again! read more

Took my dad in today after a fall to his hip. He was having pain sitting and standing, pointing to his hip area. He saw Dr Rosenbaum. They did a hip x-ray. I knew there would be an issue when I heard the doctor ask the medical assistant while looking at his x-Ray "it doesn't look broken does it" said he was fine sent him home with Tylenol, called it a contusion and that it would hurt for a bit. Pain kept getting work as. I knew something wasn't right. Took him to the ER, his femur is broken, He needs surgery!! Glad I went with my gut and not the opinion of he fine doctors here. i went to the Livonia office today. I had to wait over 2 hours before i was seen by a medical professional. i was wondering to myself "why didnt i go to my primary or the ER?" When your health concerns cant wait".---really??? i have worked at 2 urgent cares before and when there was a wait like that someone did come and assess the patient and explained why the wait. i was given antibotics and was on my way after a 3 mins conversation with a medical professional not even a doctor. i did feel that my blood pressure was high--- 138/98 ???? I got there 20 minutes before closing so staff may be different from day staff but they were all extremely nice, the lady's at the front desk were nice, so was the doctor and the x ray tech. Keep in mind this is an URGENT CARE! Which means it's a less expensive version of a hospital for non life threatening injury and it's open later than a general practitioner and you don't need an appointment. If you tried to go to a hospital with a non life threatening "injury" or sickness you would wait just as long but your bill would be more, and it would be like trying to a doctors office if you didn't have an appointment and they were booked, so for everyone who complains about waiting you clearly have never been to an emergency room! They are open an hour later than other urgent care in the area, I went on a Monday. One note they do not take straight Medicaid or whatever. read more

What an awesome clinic!!! We arrived on a Sunday morning. While we were one of the first to arrive, we were taken in right away. They took a chest x-ray and my husband was diagnosed with Pneumonia. They gave him a breathing treatment and sent us home with two prescriptions. We were out of there in 45 minutes. The doctor that took care of my husband (Dr. Dawson) was very professional and very thorough. The MA (I can't remember her name) was very friendly and prompt. I would highly recommend this clinic!!! It's nice to know that we have a quality urgent care in our area!!! read more

Terrible!!! If I could I would give it zero stars. The convenience of it being close is not worth it. My wife's shoulder was hurting her very badly. They told her that she had bronchitis. Her lungs checked clear tho. Strangely enough they had asked if anyone else in our home was sick, and she told them that I had bronchitis. I gave them a second chance when my son. He had a rash that was spreading. They said they did not know what it was, but that it wasn't contagious. Sounds pretty stupid huh?! Yes once again, wrong. Never again!!!!!! read more

Honestly, I'm surprised to see such a low rating. I always have a positive experience at this place. This was my go-to urgent care when I lived in the area. Just like any urgent care, you may have to wait if there is a rush. However the doctors here are worth the wait. Unlike most urgent cares, you won't get some young doctor fresh out of med school who quits six month later. I typically have seen the same doctors everytime I come here. I also find they don't try to rush you out the door. They take the time to listen and answer any questions. Truly one of the best urgent cares in the area. read more

Horrible place!!! I've been in there a few times. They told me a rash was an allergic reaction, went to my regular doctor a few days later after it wasn't better and it wasn't an allergic reaction. I waited two hours for a cortisone shot. Recently I went in to get an X-ray on my wrist. 30 minutes went by and still haven't been called back- was the only person in there! I asked them what the hold up was and they asked if I signed in. Finally at 40 minutes I left. Zero stars. read more

Don't waste your money! Took my 3 year old son in with pink eye. They diagnosed it as allergic conjunctivitis (even though we told him had a fever the night before and started sneezing and coughing earlier in the day! They gave him allergy eye drops it did nothing for him it got worse. We took him to his pediatrician a day and 1/2 later and she goes oh no this is definitely viral conjunctivitis and that's why it's not getting better we usually treat with an antibiotic. so Lakes basically charged us a copay and our insurance For Nothing!! I called back to see if they could change the prescription and the receptionist goes oh it'll be fine in 48 hours make sure everyone washes their hands.. When did pink eye start curing itself off of just allergy drops? A bunch of incompetence and inefficiency going on there. It's sad because we've been going there for a very long time almost 10 years. read more

Took my husband to lakes urgent care last Thursday as he was having complaints of fevers, fatigue and a very large abscess on his back. Dr Shawkee and his team were there and despite the fact that we went in late(30 mins prior to closing), they went above and beyond and eventually drained what was a very large abscess. They utilized a very fancy ultrasound machine and were able to send the sample for culture. He's now 5 days after the procedure and he's doing 100% better. I am frankly not sure why this place has such negative reviews. Our experience was nothing short of perfect. read more
