Despite being sick, this was overall a great visit. This was the first time that I had been to PrimeCare. When I arrived at the parking lot, I checked-in via a QR code that was on a window sign. It took me to a portal to complete paperwork and that took only a minute or two since I had not been there before. After I submitted the paperwork, I got a text message indicating that it was received and then another text a minute later indicating that everything good with the paperwork. I settled in by turning on a podcast in my car and dug into a magazine. About 5 minutes later, somebody came outside and called a name. My window was up and I assumed it was somebody who arrived before me. But when she called out the name again, I rolled down the window and to my suprise, it was my turn to go in. I was taken to a room where somebody immediately took vitals and a history of my illness. She did a quick covid and flu test. It took about 10 minutes to get the results back and a doctor (RN?) came in to give me the good news - no covid, no influenza but she asked more questions as to my symptoms and wound up writing my an Rx for cough drops and inhaler. Overall, a quick experience, especially in this time of covid and various protocols implemented. I would definitely come here again. read more

PrimeCare Urgent Care - Urgent Care Near Me - Novi, Michigan

I went in to have ear wax removed from my left ear on December 19, 2024 after seeing it as a treatment on their website. The woman, I assume a nursing assistant, put Debrox in my ear and waited 5 minutes before trying irrigation to remove the wax. That didn't work so she came back with an illuminated forcep and started yanking dried, impacted wax from my ear. After removing about 8 pieces of bloody wax she left and I assume the nurse practitioner came in (I don't remember anyone wearing name tags) and said, I think because I was now deaf in my left ear and blood was flowing out, it would heal and go home and continue to use Debrox. I was deaf in my left ear for 2 days and just before I was going to go to the emergency room at Corewell Hospital Saturday afternoon my hearing came back. Sunday when I woke up my hearing in the left ear was again gone and came back after a couple hours. Today, Monday morning, I woke up without hearing in my left ear and it has not returned. From what I've read on the internet, the first woman should never have ripped the impacted wax from my middle ear causing bleeding. They should have stopped and told me to go to an ear Dr. who has the equipment to safely remove impacted wax. If I was employed (I'm retired) I would not be able to work since hearing with one ear is very difficult. After I put all zeros on their customer satisfaction survey someone called to follow up on how I was doing. I didn't return the call because I wouldn't be able to hear them anyway. I don't consider it very good patient care sending me home deaf with my ear bleeding and telling me it will heal and use Debrox at home. read more

I'd been to this place before. It's close to where I live and I have received good service there before. I decided the soreness in my throat was not being ended with warm salt water gargles, so I drove to PrimeCare, arriving around 4PM. There is a sign on the door, now, that states that if you want service you should call ahead, this despite the fact that it's URGENT CARE. I was told to park in back. After a while I was given and filled out a form, attached my driver's license and health insurance card, and waited. The temperature in my car/waiting room was around 25F. I watched as new cars came and went while i waited patiently, no pun intended. From time to time I ran my car for a few minutes to boost the temperature a bit. Eventually at 6:30PM I went to the back door and asked for my cards. They kindly retrieved mine and asked if I wanted to schedule an appointment the next morning. I told them I would not be back and left. I have had 3 Pfizer shots, no COVID symptoms for the nearly 2 years of the pandemic, and was wearing a KN-95 mask but had to use my cold car instead of their warm lobby as my waiting room, for two and a half hours on a cold night. I'd rather stay sick and die than go back to PrimeCare. With that kind of waiting room that's more likely than seeing a doctor. read more

All I can say is this is thee absolute best, most thorough, highly efficient urgent care I've ever frequented. As long as I'm in the metro Detroit area I will only going to frequent this urgent care. The doctors are thoughtful, very conscious and determined to diagnosis, treat and remedy all your concerns. An additional bonus is they are so efficient with communicating all tests, concerns and findings to your primary care doctor. Furthermore, this is thee ONLY urgent care that simply followed up with me to ensure I was ok...WOW. This place is so masterful that it accomplished all the above in a ridiculously reasonable timeframe i.e. I was in and out in a timely fashion. I am so thankful for this gem! We had a horrible experience. The front staff was super unprofessional last night as I had a 2 and 4 year old screaming for 3 hours and had to take them into this urgent care urgently- the front desk Caucasian older lady who was working the night shift was SO unprofessional and rude. I work in the medical field and I almost took my kids to an ER it was so bad. We called- they said by 845 they could see my boys if I could make it on time. We got there 5 minutes until 845. I understood and felt so bad to be that "mom". Though my kids come first. They were screaming- holding their ears and I knew something was wrong. The front desk older lady first did NOT want to take us. She gave me attitude as soon as I walked in. She made me feel like I was doing something wrong for taking my kids there. I was shaking and almost in tears because I felt so attacked. She and my MIL had words- she was super unprofessional and I WIlL NEVER BE BACK. She told me an ER was right down the street. Until I finally lost my mom card and told her how uncomfortable I was and she was making me feel like should I even let my kids be treated here? She then switch her personality fast. The poor African American younger women sitting next to her didn't even know what to say or do. The Caucasian lady didn't want any help but could give so much attitude and disrespect it was crazy. If you cannot or do not want to help people- get out of the medical field. I got absolutely no discharge paperwork- I asked and was refused. I'm calling to speak with manager today. I have been to this urgent care a few times now mainly because they open a bit earlier than the other local urgent cares. The last time I went, I had an older male PA come in to ask what my symptoms were and figure out what was wrong. I was the only patient in there and I could hear hi talking out side of my room for about 20 minutes about his car troubles instead of coming into the room to see me. Very irritating when you don't feel well and just want to get out of there. When he did finally come into the room, he was in there for about 2 seconds and basically just there to question me on menu I was complaining so much about the pain I was in when it "couldn't be that bad". I would not recommend this PA to anyone. Front desk staff was nice but that only goes so far when the actual PA is not very kind or helpful whatsoever. read more

I am posting an update to my review with a lower rating after a couple visits by my wife. The care given was great as an urgent care clinic should be, however the final cost to us came at three times the cost of clinics much closer to home. I recommended Prime Care Urgent Care because my excellent primary physician is associated with this clinic. However I do not feel that the service that was provided by a P.A. justified a tri-fold cost increase along with the longer drive time when local clinics are 24-7 operations and much closer. My wife called to verify these costs and was told they are accurate so we will be looking at alternatives for any clinic visits. read more

After seeing negative reviews for other Urgent Cares in the area I opted for this location and they did not disappoint. I've only been to Urgent care 2 or 3x in my life (other places). This experience far surpassed my expectations. The woman that checked me in was extraordinarily patient. The website says they take my insurance but that referred to their primary only, not urgent care. I was frustrated because I'd driven there and was in need of being seen. She volunteered to look online for me for other places that accepted my insurance in the general area. I looked them up (the other locations) and they had poor reviews. I told her I'd rather pay the $105 out of pocket and be seen in a good place. She was kind enough to call her supervisor on the phone and ask if they would try to take my insurance and help me since I really wanted to be seen there. When I was a taken to the back their facilities were clean. The doctor that tended to me was compassionate, kind, knowledgeable and took her time with me. She talked to me about possibilities and options without frightening me. She didn't try to rush me. No one likes to go to the doctor's, but, if you must go to urgent care then this is the place. The entire staff was knowledgeable (or tried finding answers), compassionate and kind. If me or my family ever needs to be seen again I will be coming back here. read more

Came in for an urgent pain issue, completely, unrelated to COVID or any cold/flu symptom. They pretend as if they have protocols in place to prevent the spread of COVID-19 but it's the furthest thing from the truth. Within 24 hours of leaving PrimeCare myself, and my two special needs children, are the sickest we've ever been. I called back up and informed them that I believe I have COVID (went and got tested elsewhere and I do) and wanted to get tested. I was informed that if I didn't want to come in the building (and risk spreading COVID even more) and drag my two special needs children in the building (yet again) that I would have to pay out of pocket for the tests. Which is beyond classist. No one should have to risk getting or spreading COVID because they don't have the money to pay out of pocket up front when their insurance clearly covers it and the facility has the tests/means. They say that COVID symptom patients have to come in the back, etc. But then they stick the patients who aren't "sick" in the same exact rooms, immediately, after seeing COVID symptom patients. And the only thing they do to sanitize is wipe down their little medical bed. Newsflash: that's not enough to prevent the spread of COVID. I mean the bed was still wet and everything from them just quickly spraying it when I came in. It wasn't even busy or anything there were only 4 patients maximum when I was there. My children and I haven't gotten COVID the entire two years now since it hit the USA. And we have not been around anyone else, or gone in stores, for weeks prior to arriving at PrimeCare and didn't not come in contact with anyone else after leaving either. My one child is, currently, being hospitalized right now for really serious symptoms and is only 4 years old. So, avoid this place at all costs if you don't have COVID symptoms because it's like walking into a plague ward. read more

Apparently smashed my left foot and after some insistence from my wife we headed to the only urgent care I could find nearby that was open on a Sunday evening. They were quick, efficient, and courteous through and through. Dr Shively(?) was friendly and humorous and recommended Xrays. The nurse doing the xrays was aware of my pain and assisted me every step of the way. I was overall impressed with the level of courtesy and care I received. I will definitely go back for any other Urgent Care needs I may have. Being impressed with the bedside manner of Dr. Shively(?), makes me interested in seeing him perhaps as a regular physician at the PrimeCare Family Physicians office which is located next door. read more

Went there instead of ER at Providence Park for a potential broken rib. OMG, this facility should be a veterinarians office because that is how it smelled. I wouldn't even take my cat here! I waiting FOREVER (1+Hours) without any other patients in the waiting room ... When they finally got to me, all of the staff and Doctor were unprofessional and uncaring. To boot they treated me with distain. All the while that I was back in the inner sanction, there was some poor child screaming in pain continuously. This went on for at least 1/2 hour. The facility was so antiquated, the x-ray area is a joke -- I think their equipment must be 20 years old. They couldn't even do an x-ray right and made me go back to repeat it! Very scary to think that these people might treat broken bones ... To summarize I should have spent the extra $100 for ACTUAL medical attention in ER! This facility is a complete joke and I would rather die on a gurney trying to get to ER rather than let these so called Doctors touch me! read more

The nurses, doctors and staff have been very thorough, don't rush and seek to get to the bottom of the health issue you have come to them for. I walked in and everything was going well, the receptionist was pleasant, the nurse that took my vitals was nice, but then in walked the doctor. Dr Norman Salem, and he may as well have been Norman Bates. He was rude and didn't even ask why I was there, wouldn't shake my hand, and rudely asked "What did I want?", when I went to explain why I was there, (I recently had a MCL tear and have to have physical therapy), he blew me off and informed me that he would not renew my Tramadol prescription (who abuses Tramadol???). He would only offer Motrin, which upsets my stomach. I told him I went to an urgent in Oak Park (after the original injury, before I moved to Farmington) so he told me: "GO BACK THERE THEN!" I then stated that I already paid my co-pay and he said: "Oh, well..." Do NOT go here unless you wish to be insulted and patronized. read more

I can honestly give this place 5 stars...and it's an 'Urgent Care'. For someone who has visited many hospitals (unfortunately) and has many horrific experiences with nurses, doctors, staff, etc...this place blows everything out of the water. It is in a commercial strip-mall of sorts but if you have an urgent care need...look no further!!! The only negative is that the primary care portion of the clinic doesn't accept my insurance so I cannot make them my PCP. read more

I chose this place based on the previous reviews and it didn't disappoint. As a new patient I was checked in within five minutes. I didn't even have a chance to fully sit down to wait before I was called back. The nurse took my vitals and I saw the doctor in less than five minutes. After being sick all weekend with the flu I needed to see a doctor to make sure I wasn't getting pneumonia. I don't have a primary care physician of my own so on a friends recommendation I called the office associated with this urgent care. The receptionist couldn't get me in today but recommended to go to this urgent care. I'm so glad I did! I couldn't have had a more pleasant experience. The staff and Dr. Wolocko were so friendly, professional, and efficient I was amazed. I was in and out within a hour with very little wait time!
