Not sure what…read morehappened, but appears they have gotten too big and have lost their "human element" as it relates to customer service. KODA Carpet Cleaning acquired Randy's Carpet Care. We had KODA Carpet Cleaning clean some carpets for ours toward the end of 2023. While the representative was cleaning, we mentioned that we had some gift certificates for Randy's Carpet Care that we needed to use. The representative told us not to use them, as they were in the process of acquiring Randy's Carpet Care, and he'd prefer that we used the certificates with them after they acquired Randy's. We explained they expired soon, and he said not to worry about the expiration date and they would honor them. Fast forward a year and KODA is refusing to honor the certificates. They then tried to tell us there was no way the employee would have known back then they were buying Randy's Carpet Care (which is 100% false -- he was in our kitchen when he told my wife and I this). He also told us how he used to date the owner's daughter and other things. Beyond frustrated with this company. We've always promoted them on Facebook when people are asking for suggestions with carpet cleaning, so it's sad this is how our relationship ended. It's important, though, that a company stand behind what their employees tell someone. You should be able to trust that. As a representative of the company, what the employee said should be honored.

They left four return air vents on the floor and didn't even clean five of the upstairs return vents & ducts. I paid $65 to have a short strip of carpet cleaned on my upstairs hallway and it's still stained. I had to call three times over three days to have them come back and finish the job. The guys were nice enough but complete amateurs. They bent one return vent while reattaching it to the wall. I paid $500 to have this job done and I have no confidence that my duct work is actually clean. I would never recommend this company. Bummer.

Here's my story and how I came to know them as my angels... You know when you look both ways to cross the street, then get hit by an airplane? That's what my life was like when I made the decision to hire Nancy and her team. I was about to move into my new apartment in Grand Rapids and had all my ducks lined in a row. But alas,... life happened... I stopped by the new apartment one day before move in and it was not cleaned after a three year stay from previous tenants. I decided to clean it myself over night. Two hours in I dropped to my knees in tears because I was disgusted and exhausted and angry at how filthy it actually was. I couldn't do this alone. This apartment needed a deep clean and more than my two hands. The next day, I made arrangements to stay in a hotel and called Nancy. She graciously fit me into her schedule at the end of the week (HINT: you need to book her weeks in advance. Her compassion for people(me) and my situation took over and she moved her schedule around to fit me in. #angel) The day comes and she was also surprised at how bad this apartment was. It took her team of three a total of 4 hours to clean my average sized one bedroom apartment. That's 12 HOURS of cleaning!!! She even cut me a small discount despite her having to reschedule other clients and because she felt so bad about my situation. She said that that apartment was her DIRTIEST JOB EVER. Needless to say,... my apartment is now impeccable. It is SO clean. The service and kindness I received from Nancy is unforgettable. She prioritized me. She made me feel like her family, not like a client. She truly cared for my well-being.
