I tried to explain that I was not aware of any extra charge for car charging nor was it in any of the park rules that I received. He didn't care even when I explained that my car gave me an error code that my starting battery had a power drain and possibly would not start, and I would unplug at that time. My family and friends have been camping at this park for almost 10 years but there has been a change in management " the captain retired, we steamed last fall with him what a great guy, he will be missed" I definitely don't like the new nickel & dime extra charges and probably will be looking for a different campground.

A very nice view in itself. Then the boardwalk travels on, then goes under a bridge and next to a sand dune, then Bam! The lake and path funnel into Lake Michigan and the path onto an amazing beach. I had no idea this beautiful public beach was here. The views are outstanding and the sand is pristine. We took the dog, yes on a leash, for a walk of the beach and had a great time. I booked on August 8th for an August 15-18 stay, but had to cancel due to a death in my family. Bryan was unapologetic and downright rude about enforcing their rigid policy: within 14 days, you get nothing back. Outside that window? Still a $25 "admin fee" for a tent site. There are plenty of other gay campgrounds that are friendlier, more flexible, and actually care about their guests. Maybe that's why it was so easy to snag a last-minute reservation here. Pretty grounds can't cover up an ugly attitude.
