There were some things that I have never seen before, which was fun, and the prices are reasonable. We didn't end up buying anything (I don't really collect things, and I don't have much display space), but we heard another transaction going on, and it seemed that the man working was willing to haggle a little. The space is not really organized, and sometimes you have to dig under things. The aisles are very narrow - I held my purse right against my body so as not to break anything; and some of the item placements are precarious - my husband was afraid of whole shelves coming down after moving a book or two. If I lived in the area, I would come back here (maybe with a smaller purse.)

They are long time residents of Longville and are a joy to chat with. Also, Thursdays are homemade goodie day and I was blessed to stop in and have fresh picked homemade rhubarb pie, complete with the traditional "heart" that Sue cuts into all her pies. And then there is the facility; lots and lots of well organized treasures to behold. There is a "tool shed", a "furniture & glassware house" and then the main building that has lures, cast iron, toys, books and lots more. This antique shop is worth the drive to Longville! What a treasure on several levels.

The owners were there while I was looking around; very congenial and friendly. According to their FB page there is a friend dog named "Kirby" but I did not have the fortune to met him. Definitely worth stopping and looking around. You might even find something like I did, a puggy pie maker for camping.

Just recently I had an issue with a sales/promotional item that I felt was not properly discounted based on the promotional information. It was ambiguous but when one drives a number of miles and spends an hour to take advantage of a promotional item it is very disheartening to be refused based on a detail no customer could be expected to understand. After I made my case to Jeff the manager he agreed to honor the price as discounted by the promotion. This to me is a huge incentive to buy local and support friendly and fair businesses such as Ace Hardware in Walker MN. The item was a umbrella stand and it works perfectly.
