The total wasn't discounted, so I asked why? He said, cash or check for discounts, no cards. I thought, that's reasonable, as CCs do cost the retailer. I'll pay with a check, and he re-rang to include the discount. I whipped out my checkbook, which was from a CA. bank. With both arm extended out and leaning forward over the counter top, he blurted out, local checks only. I'm starting to not like his attitude. I asked to read the ad from the newspaper, and it did say cash or check, but it didn't say, local checks only. I proceeded to write the check out in spite of his restriction. Handed it to him and he said, I told you, I can't take that. Especially from California. Another friendly fuckin' Texan. We had a short staring contest, but I broke it off with, hold that thought, I need to go to my car. I thought about just leaving but knew he'd get too much satisfaction from that, so I returned with my local check book. Pinnacle used to have 10 different flavors. They just have these big plastic bottles of whipped flavor. would have liked the whipped, but the bottle was bigger than what I needed. The gentleman helped me find a different brand, which came in vanilla. Which will work fine. Whipped, vanilla, pretty much the same. Also thought I would try this Willie Nelson drink. I've seen the ads for his infused whatever this is. THC, something. Sorry, I'm intrigued, but know nothing about it. Figured you don't know unless you try. Which I will do in the comfort of my home in case something weird happens. Anyway. I was chatting with the cashier about it and he suggested since it's my first time, I should go slow.
