Best home buying experience ever! I contacted Lamb real estate about 3 months prior to us moving up to Washington due to military orders. We knew we would be up there sometime starting at the beginning of the year but did not have a confirmed date and wanted to get things going prior to our move. I spoke to several realtors in the Everett area but many did not see us as serious buyers since we were not in the area yet. When I came across Lamb real estate I liked their website and how they seemed down to earth. Speaking with a few of their team members over the phone, I decided to go with them. We were introduced to Matt Kearney over the phone and he was very knowledgeable with the areas we were looking at and had a background in construction and home inspection which was a bonus. Matt was great, he kept in touch with us over the coming months and even sent a nice little thank you card. We finally received our move date and headed up to Washington. We stayed with family in Vancouver while making a few 3.5 hour trips up to look at houses and Matt was really great about coordinating and making us a priority with our home search since we had to stay up there for a few days. During our home search Matt was very proactive, responsive and was diligent on getting us answers when it came to houses we were very interested in. His home inspector knowledge shined through when looking at houses as he was able to tell us if things might be of concern. We were finally able to sell our home in California in March which allowed us to close on a house here in WA at the end of March. It was a very long road of buying, selling, and moving our whole family including long trips with our little baby but Matt really made it seamless hence this long review! On the day of move in, Matt came by to congratulate us and took our pictures in front of our new home as well as bringing by a lovely gift basket totally tailored to our style and unique. My agent Kevin insisted that I confirm my hired movers at noon but he did not deliver my new home keys until several hours later which resulted in costing me an additional $600 to pay them while they literally waited in their truck for him to deliver the keys. Lyndsay is an amazing agent who really looks out for her clients. We sold our house with her, and then turned around and bought a new house with her - all during a very hot market. On the selling side, even though it was a seller's market, she pulled out all the stops (hiring more than one photographer to have our pick of the best shots, holding two open houses, promoting the house through her social media channels, utilizing her own clent base, etc.). We ended up finding getting an offer in the first two days. When that offer fell through, she helped us stay positive and another offer came our way two days later. She also advised us to price our house higher than we thought we could sell for, and we ended up selling for the listing price - this was a game changer for us, since we immediately had the cash we needed for a down payment on our next house. On the buying side, we were faced with lots of competition and many multiple offer situations. To successfully find a house, we had to go look at homes as soon as they were listed, and Lyndsay was always willing to meet us after work or on the weekends to show us homes. It was a bit of a roller coaster ride, but Lyndsay was always very positive and encouraging. When we finally found our dream house, Lyndsay knew just how aggressive we should be to secure the house without overpaying. In addition to being a good agent, she was fun!
