100% recommend working with Susanna!…read more I found Susanna though one of her listings on StreetEasy - I had no intention to buy, but my landlord had given an unexpected (50%) increase for the apartment I'd been renting, so figured that it would be worth at least considering looking at some co-ops. My first impression before we even met was how organized and detail oriented Susanna was - after reaching out to view a couple of her listings before we even met for the first time we were corresponding over email for the types of things that were important for me in an apartment so that she could find other listings to view as well (a great kitchen for me, and lots of sunny spots for bird watching for my beloved cat). The second impression when we met was immediate integrity: real estate in NYC doesn't have the greatest reputation for honesty... from exaggerated details in listings, to bait-and-switch photographs that doesn't represent the property (or are of a completely different property) I was relieved to see that Susanna's listings accurately represent what they look like in real life. And unlike some agents or brokers that I've interacted with who just want to make a quick deal, I always felt that Susanna was patient and wanted to make sure that I found the place that was right for me. It's not an exaggeration to say that I was a very nervous client - not only with crazy market volatility in interest rates, but as a first time buyer just seeing the prices on listings sent me into a mild panic. As well as helping me find great listings to consider, Susanna also gave me some more general advice around how to think about an offer (e.g. size of down payment) and convinced me to meet with a financial advisor to make sure that I was making a financially healthy suggestion. Along with putting in my offer, Susanna also helped with her network - connecting me with an attorney, and even making an introduction to a loan officer - I'd initially gotten pre-approval with my primary bank, but I got a MUCH better rate and first-time buyer package from the introduction Susanna made. Finally, working towards closing, I had some tight dates to meet with my lease ending in my old apartment, and Susanna helped keep things moving along when they were stalling with the seller. At the start of 2022 I had no intention of even moving apartments, let alone making the switch from renting to owning, and now at the end of 2022 I'm in this amazing co-op - I'm so happy that I had the good fortune to meet Susanna who was able to help me on this journey. I've just crossed 3-months in my new home and I can't believe how lucky I am to have this apartment - the neighborhood, the building, the amazing light, it's like a dream come true! D&G was hired to stage our home for sale. They and the realtors suggested we refinish the floors in the home before putting it on the market, which we agreed to do and received a bill from D&G for the floor resurfacing which we paid. D&G then moved furnishing into the home. We noticed some minor scratches on the brand new floors after the furnishing were moved in but let it go. When it came time to move the furnishings out, I asked that we be notified what day and time D&G would be moving out the furnishings so that we could ensure there was no further damage, but was not given a time. D&G entered my home without authorisation and significantly damaged the newly finished floors (see pics attached) while moving out the furnishings. I have made multiple calls to D&G attempting to have this resolved, but have yet to be connected with someone who is able to resolve the matter. I've been told these individuals are traveling. In the meantime, we are waiting to have the floors fixed before moving furniture into the home. I will update this review if someone from D&G calls me back and offers an amicable solution. I'm someone who would like to see all small business owners succeed, but also believes in standing behind one's service. Update: I spoke with the proprietor of D&G. I am appreciative that she called me back. She refused to take responsibility for the scratches. Instead she blamed Prime Realty who maintained control of the unit during the sales process. Prime Realty did provide D&G a key to enter the home. In sum, the deep scratches in the floor were not present prior to the removal of the furniture by D&G. They were present immediately after the removal of the furniture. It would have been appreciated if the company would have taken responsibility for the damage.
