Yesterday Mike painted the new gutter, downspouts and exterior trim of my new garage roof. He did an excellent job! He also repaired the trim (without my aksing) and painted a section of trim I had forgotten about. When I asked him to touch up a section of trellis if he had time and extra paint he had no problem doing that and did not charge me extra. He went above and beyond to give great service and make sure I was happy with the job. This is not typical of many contractors these days, so it is refreshing to know I can count on a painting contractor when I need to hire someone. A fabulous experience working with Mike and his team. They painted the entire exterior of our house - both stucco and wood staining. A lot of sanding and prep was needed for the wood because it was way overdue for restaining. Mike communicates very well about everything, and he worked closely with my wife on selecting colors and doing some samples. They were very careful not to damage anything, and did a great job cleaning up at the end. Including washing some window while they had the scaffolding up! They were not the lowest bid, but we felt very confident in their ability to do a large, difficult job, and in the end we feel like we got our money's worth. read more

Contacted them LATE in the season to get the house painted. Have an 80 year old, wood house that was horribly painted by a fly-by-night company (that basically scammed my elderly mother) years ago-- so wood was damaged. I cannot recommend Mike and his crew enough! They did such a wonderful job painting my business. It is a complicated building with high ceilings (12-16ft), exposed rafters, exposed ductwork, tons of holes (which they patched), and were also great about working around two painted murals. One room was a dark grey that they primed and painted back to a nice bright white :) They were extremely flexible with the schedule, so that we did not have to close down, and even came in on two weekends to get the job done! They were right on time, finished well ahead of schedule, and did it all with smiles. I am also very happy with the amount of time they spent prepping. Everything was covered in paper and every tiny ding was patched and ready to go. We will be using Lamorinda Painting often for our business and our home.
