After the high cost of her machines and cost of detergent and OXYclean, the delivery service isn't that much more expensive we have found, and it's so much more convenient and less stressful on our part. New Busy Season does an amazing job on the laundry itself. Her clothes are spotless and perfectly folded and they never seem overdried. And they make pick-up and drop-off a breeze for our mom. We love that they will call to make sure she's home before delivering so she can wait by the intercom since she's hard of hearing and might not hear the buzz otherwise. I don't know if that's standard procedure on their part to call, but the fact that they do in this case is wonderful. She calls them when she is ready for a new pick-up and they tell her what time they will be there, and I think she says it's always promptly. She says the delivery person is always very friendly as well. Just a perfect on-going experience with this great business. We are all so grateful!

If she sees you need help she comes running over. They pick up and deliver. When I park out front she will often come running over to me so I don't forget to put money in the meter. The best thing about this place is they also do dry cleaning. As she goes through your dry cleaning she will tell you if it does not have to be dry cleaned. I respect her honesty. The BEST prices for dry cleaner I have ever come across.

There is garbage on the floor, and people are literally sorting out their DIRTY laundry IN THE CARTS before putting them in the washers. I went to the girl who has not left her little room by the door and asked if she had anything to clean the carts with. She just pointed to the roll of paper towels. I told her what I was seeing, that people were using the same carts to put their dirty laundry in that you should be using FOR CLEAN CLOTHING. She just shrugged her shoulder as though she can't do anything about it. I asked her well do you have any sort of disinfectant spray so I can use before putting in my clean clothing in this cart?! And she said NO. Which I find very hard to believe. How do you maintain this place clean then? There's also people sitting at the tables eating food like it is a cafeteria. I will not be back again. He told me I could leave the bag, someone else would call to tell me the price tomorrow, and when I could pick it up. I was okay with that. It seemed as if he didn't want to be there or do anything. I wrote my information on the receipt pad, attempting to leave the laundry, when he rudely read my telephone number aloud for all the other patrons to hear. This goes against my confidentiality. I told them that the Americans with Disabilities Act requires them to admit me with my service dog. They physically barred me from entry nonetheless, because "some of their customer" might not like it. If you are a person with a disability who has a similar experience with Family Laundromat, please leave a record of it here so that others can establish a pattern of behavior. Business owners like this feel free to flaunt the law because the supposed watchdog agencies will do nothing, even when you file a well-documented complaint. Also, if you are a disabled person trying to establish a pattern of behavior, feel free to reach out and I will happily support you by attesting to my similar experience. Thirdly, whether you are a disabled person or not, please consider whether the actions on the part of Family Laundromat reflect your values. If not, consider frequenting a business that does.
