Overall, very good laundry mat. I usually drop off, and the women who work there are very polite and professional. I have been a regular patron for over 3 years. Tonight, I went to drop off some laundry, and there was a peculiar man who did not really want to take the bag. He told me I could leave the bag, someone else would call to tell me the price tomorrow, and when I could pick it up. I was okay with that. It seemed as if he didn't want to be there or do anything. I wrote my information on the receipt pad, attempting to leave the laundry, when he rudely read my telephone number aloud for all the other patrons to hear. This goes against my confidentiality. In addition, he was acting odd, making funny hand signals to other patrons. I decided to take that laundry and bring it somewhere else. Open 24/7, except some holidays, with clean spaces to fold and plenty of assorted size machines. And usually parking spaces in front, which you don't find in many other places in this neighborhood. The laundry is clean but the dryers do nor get that hot or there is a problem with the air flow to the. It takes 40 min- 1hour to dry a comforter, unacceptable. Frequently machines are down and unusable. Staff is friendly but there is only so much they can do when management doesn't. read more

When putting the bags on the counter instead politely showing me the location of the scale I received a nasty look with an "Ah-Ah." (that was the greeting). Then I said I had other two bags in the car and the lady's said "this is not an overnight service" When I asked when will they be ready, she said, "the weekend, Friday maybe." I've never been to a business where I felt so disrespected. I went there over a week ago on a Saturday night around 10:30pm to wash my 1 year olds clothes since it was the only day I have help. All the machines were occupied except the ones in the front so I went to go open the washer door and a lady looks up from her cell phone and says "You Don't See That!" I was confused because the whole row of machines were free and she looked like a person who didn't work there. I asked her "What?" Because I was confused and she points to a 1 x 2 inch label in a groove that says Don't Use. I responded back "Oh I didn't see it" took a second and realized how rude and nasty she was and then said "I don't understand the attitude?". She then says walks closer to me like she's going to do something and says "I DONT HAVE TIME DONT THIS SH!T". This is the exact moment when my 11 year old walks in and is confused by what is going on. Everyone in the laundry mat is now staring at the employee who is so over the top aggressive, rude, and right out lazy. She goes back to her phone and doesn't want to be bothered. A lady in that laundromat shook her head and looked at me like "yup this is what she does". This lady gave me her machine that just finished. I asked her for the owner since now I realize she works there so I can talk to them about what she just did and because I also needed money to pay for a machine. There's no contact or license hanging on any of the wall so that you Can Not contact anyone to complain. It's clear the the owner of this place knows exactly who he hired and has a total disregard for the people of Middle Village and Rego Park. My review stays the same only b/c it's just a decent laundromat, however the lady that I mentioned before with dark hair her name is Diane. I finally asked her her name about a year ago...lol she is really nice so I try to come when she is working which is usually in the day before 2or 3p, sometimes she's there a bit longer like today it's 3p and she's still here. The machines are usually clean for the most part, however I ALWAYS bring Lysol with me no matter what laundromat I use. And. Like I stated before it's never really crowded and there is a place to sit. Diane told me that the other ladies that had been working before are now gone which is great. So really I haven't seen any other workers b/c I try to only come when Diane is here. I feel this place is a bit pricey with machines from $2.75-$7.25 to wash and dry is $.39. I can wash cheaper by my house, but if I want to be able to chill, sit and catch up on talk shows, and the news I know I can here cause Diane always has it on a good channel. And sometimes I like to drive and have a parking space w/o having to pay is a plus. Although the parki g is limited depending if you go when there is a yoga class right next door. And then the times when I am feeling cheap I walk to the one up the block from me...lol So more than likely I'll keep coming since I have been for about 3 years now. First time doing laundry here yesterday morning (3 am). When I went and got a card, I inserted my $20, card popped out and then gave me an error message. After trying to help me, the man that was working there told me to just get a new card, load another $20 and come back at 7 am where the manager, Diane, would be there. I sent my husband there around 7 because I couldn't make it. Diane told him that they needed to check the computer, and just give her his contact information and they will call us back. This morning, 24 hours later and zero phone call, we went back so I could get my money back. Now, let me just say that as a busy mother, I am not about wasting my time to keep on going there just so I could swindle them out of $20. It's not that much money but the principle of it is that it's my money. Now, we were told by Diane nastily that she can't help us because she can't actually review the computer, only the store owner can. And the store owner would be there tomorrow, which means another trip for me to do, not to mention that would be 72 hours of them holding my money. Never had I encountered a place of business where a manager could be so useless when it comes to helping their customers. And Diane is beyond reasoning and rude. Also, the place is filthy. Their washing machines have mildew in it. I didn't notice it before I started washing my clothes and only noticed it mid cycle. Their dyers hardly heats up which takes twice as long and expensive when drying. For the regular size dryer it's 35 cents per 6 minutes and the big dryer is 35 cents per 4 minutes. My Asian parents came here to do laundry because our usual laundromat closes early on a Saturday night. The moment they entered, a blonde woman who works there immediately told them they couldn't do laundry there. When my mom asked why, she wouldn't say anything until my dad came to see what was going on. The worker explained the laundromat was only for drop off; meanwhile, other non-Asian people were there doing their own laundry. She gave them a nasty attitude the entire time they were there. This place is a scammer's haven. I paid for one hour on their large dryer which you pay 35 cents PER FOUR MINUTES. One hour later, 1/3 of my clothes are still wet even though there was plenty of space left for clothes to tumble around. I have debated numerous times to take an IR gun to it to see if it is actually heating the clothes at the right temperature. Honestly, the only reason anyone goes here is because of the parking lot. But even then, the lot gets quickly filled by other customers and the yoga class next door. If you can find an alternative laundromat, go there. This place is trash. read more

I went to Splish splash because my drier had stopped working and needed to dry my wet clothes. When I got to Splish splash I realized I forgot my phone at home. I asked the worker at Splish splash if I could use the stores phone to call my wife for a min. The worker rudely asked "WHY?!" With a mad face. I explained to the worker I had forgotten my phone at home. She then grabbed the phone from the charging base and asked me for the number I was going to dial... I gave her the number then she waited for me until I was done with the phone. Really weird about letting me use their phone. Also, the driers there are are not properly working. One drier had my fleece robe and had melted the material so it is now rough and uncomfortable to wear. If I were to have selected low temp on the drier it wouldn't had dried the rest of my clothes. Poor customer service and poor machines. Best to find another laundry mat with better employees and better prices. read more

Lived in area for about 4 years and started using Splash Splash about 6 months ago. I finally can say I found one of the cleanest, safest laundromats in the area. BTW did I mention they have their own parking lot. I used their drop off services many times and their prices are comparable. I love going to this 24/7 laundromat! It is very clean and it has a parking lot. They always clean it , and you'll see it by looking at every soap compartment , and lint compartment ... you can see the shiny top of the washer, dryer I think is costly but it's worth the price , at least for me , because it's not crowded , and of course it shows how they maintain this laundromat. Splish Splash is a great laundromat in a terrible spot. They have new machines, the prices are cheap, and the place is very clean. They're locates in a strip mall next to a very busy yoga studio. You can't go at peak hours after work, because you're not going to get a parking spot. But it's open 24 hours, so go sometime in the middle of the night when you can't sleep. Watch out for the guy smoking electronic cigarettes indoors while doing his laundry. It doesn't smell so good, and you don't want your clean clothes fresh out of the dryer stinking like it. read more

I've never met anybody who dealt with customers so rudely as this woman who was working there today ( ponytail, blond, in her 50s). I forgot my detergent soap so I went to the counter trying to look for a sign that says that those soaps there are for sale. Then this lady shouted at me so rudely asking me what do I want. So I politely asked her if those stuffs there are for sale and she rudely and sarcastically answered that of course they are. Then I asked how much is the Tide and she answered as if I irritated her so much. When I asked for the price of Gain she got upset and said it is the same as tide and shouted amd asked if Im buying or not. I just tried keeping my cool and just bought the item. Later I saw an old friend doing laundry too and we chated. Then my friend casually mentioned that the same lady was being bitchy to him and that he is not coming back there again. Then while I was loading my stuff in the dryer, I heard her shouting at a woman and the woman got upset and shouted back at her. They argued and so I said to the couple standing next tome that that lady is really mean. And the couple also shared their bad experience with the woman when she charged them 35 dollars for dry cleaning a single suit. The saddest thing is she must have realized how upset the people were with her but she was even proud about it and told her coworker that she should have been working as a jail guard. She even intentionally walked past in front of me and gave me that bitchy look, half grinning and her eyes piercing through me as if saying "want to fight with me?". A place that is this slow on a Tuesday night should probably ask questions when they see something fishy. Tonight, a complete stranger pawed through my family's clothing when it was in a dryer, removed it, put in their own, and then after they were satisfied with the state of their clothes, put mine back. I put 72 minutes on a dryer at a little after 10pm. Because that place stinks like weed late at night, I left. Never have had a problem during the day when doing this (or usually ever- I'm a regular because of its proximity to my house) but, when I went back to get my laundry less than an hour ago, my family's clothes were still wet. I would blame the machine, but since I filled it less than half way and removed a lone (dry, warm) sock from the machine before filling it, it wasn't the machine. Also, whoever used my machine forgot their pay-per-ride metrocard. Mine was still in my wallet when I was concerned it was mine and checked for it. Neither my husband nor my infant use metrocards, so it couldn't have been theirs. Hopefully, the money/time on the metrocard lost by the stupid a**hole who stole my machine makes up for the inconvenience of now needing to drape laundry all over my house to dry and the cash lost in the machine. Also, would be nice if, when there's literally less than half a dozen people there, to maybe pay attention to who comes and goes. For example, if a white lady with a bun puts laundry in the upper corner dryer to the right of the television, it's pretty reasonable to expect that she would be the one to remove the clothing... not so much that someone else would remove the clothes, put in different clothes, then remove those clothes and put the original clothes back in. I mean, no offense, but that sort of activity takes time to do and so there's not really any excuse for not noticing someone removing one load of wet laundry from a dryer to put in another-- especially since removing laundry that is not dry from a dryer in order to put in different wet laundry isn't really a "normal person" activity, especially just to then later put the original wet laundry back in. read more

Horrible laundromat!!! I visit this laundromat very often and everyone that works at this laundromat is extreme friendly and very helpful. On Sunday, 04/19/2020 during the Coronavirus pandemic. On this visit I needed changed so I proceeded to ask the staff member ... I handed her the money and she threw the money at me. So I told her there's no reason to throw money at me. She got really upset and I decided to look on the walk for the companies information so I can write an complaint. As I'm writing down the information she proceeded to tell me that she would "beat my BLACK ASS". I was extremely shocked and disturbed because, this employee should not be conducting herself in such a manner. When I asked her for her name she decided to call the cops on me and described me as a young "colored woman". I was completely shocked and disgusted because this is a laundromat that I come to very often. I need to get in contact with someone from this company as soon as possible because this is absolutely disgusted and unprofessional. Disgusted is an understatement and this employee(who refused to give me her name because she said you don't need it BITCH) should no longer work for this laundromat. I will followed up by contacting BBB and I will see it to that this employee no LONGE has a job. You would think that during these times people would treat other people this way. She's a older Hispanic women,who identified herself as a white woman, but she also black and call me a BLACK BITCH . Customer who also pay her hourly salary should NEVER feel this way when simple asking for change at the laundromat. This place is great, newly renovated and always clean, it can be a bit tricky if your driving because the lot is usually full during peak hours 12pm-10pm I go after hours and late weekends, they are 24 hours. My only complaint is the workers two women in their late 40's i would say are extremely rude and on multiple occasions have accused me of misusing the washers/dryers etc. I've been doing laundry for over 15 years and usually when the machine is half way through its cycle and my clothes are still dry I would think the machine is broken, well I was accused of over loading it with clothes. Multiple times I have used the dryers only to find my clothes still wet after 25-30 mins on high, again I was told I should dry on high or fill with less clothes. They are not helpful just rude and seem to hate their jobs. other than the rude and cranky workers the place is super fantastic just hope u don't have any issues, cuz lord knows its your fault! read more

My husband has been using this laundromat for years. Lately the dryers don't get hot and it cost twice as much to dry his clothes. He is charged extra to choose hot water and the machine never gets hot. It now cost twice as much to dry his clothes because the dryers stay cool. My clothes are always dropped off and they hang the nicer clothing on hangers. A few times these hangers were misplaced and found in a few days. This time it's been three weeks and my clothes are missing. I am told there is nothing they can do about it. Beware if you use their drop off. I will never use this laundromat again. read more

I have been going to this laundromat for years but recently they have a older woman, who may be polish, with glasses and short hair that is quite nasty and rude . This is my second interaction with her and she has no manners what so ever. Aside from my own interactions i have witnessed her lack of people skills with other customers. I always frequently used this laundromat until today, just 1 minutes ago, my laundry was thrown out in the carts and moved to the back of the laundromat bc I was 5-7minutes late. Ok, understandable, but as I approached the worker she yelled and was unprofessional. She refused to give me her name so I can speak with her manager for her unprofessional behavior. I'm sorry that I don't like to stay in a place with the televisions blasting soap operas and such. For the first time i feel like my clothes must be fully supervised as by I hope sanitary means we're used to remove them. This place is ok. I think that the previous reviewer is right, if you want a place to do laundry that has parking you have to work around the yoga studio hours. That being said, there is usually parking during the day, and the parking lot is not full in the later evenings. This place is clean and nice, However, don't plan on plugging your phone or other electronics in to charge while waiting, there are no plugs near the only seats available.
