I went there as a child until I was in my 20s, never had a problem. Then when I asked to speak to my doctor about my medication and a private question and to have the doctor call me when she was available, then the receptionist told me that she needed to know what I had to speak to the doctor about even though HIPPA rights exist so I persisted saying no and I only would like to speak to my doctor regarding my medical information and she then persisted to call me rude and hung up the phone. A month later, I got a letter in the mail saying that I was kicked out as a patient for being rude to a receptionist, which is the opposite of what happened and I was never called to discuss the situation with anyone else so they took the receptionist word for it and canceled me as a lifelong patient. I was on medication from this facility, which they then canceled without my knowledge and I was not allowed to get refills and it took me a year to find a different doctor. what that my doctor did not explain to me at the time was if you stopped taking this medication it's really bad for you and your mental health so basically this place is one of the worst places to go. They don't care about you. They only care about money and what benefits them. I would never recommend this place to any child or person. read more

I'm so sad to write this but after being with LD Peds for years I am moving my children. One thing I loved is their lack of wait time for appointments and how easy it was to get a sick appointment. But if your child has serious medical needs this is not the place for you. They come across as completely apathetic. I'm not a squeaky wheel type parent. We don't run to the doctor for every little runny nose. So when I do call with a concern I expect to be taken seriously - the first time! Throw in how difficult they've made everything by insisting that their portal is the only way anything can be done. Won't fax paperwork. Won't lift a finger for you if it doesn't suit them. Oh what's that, you had all of your kid's test results sent to them but they don't provide copies of that for parents? Oh ok then! I'm over it. We pay enough money for health care in this country, I expect to be treated like my kids and their health matters. read more

Would give a zero if I could. Don't get me wrong, they're facility is beautiful, great receptionists and all that but Dr.Davis is another story. I have been seeing her since I was 7, now 19. I called due to unbearable stomach pain and asked if I could come in or if I should go to er. She told me it was nothing and she didn't need to see me I was probably getting my period. Nope, I know what that feels like but she was not budging. I ended up having to have my Fallopian tube removed due to medical issues causing all of my pain. I listened to my gut, went to er and obgyn and got my answers and am finally recovering from surgery. Very sad that there was actually something wrong with my body and she wouldn't even take the time to listen to Me on the phone or see me in the office. After 9 yrs at L/D peds, I should have left YEARS ago...Dr Bezbatchenko & Dr Teranova were often in an agitated or unpredictable state. Those two didn't like questions. The office has no PA's or NPs, so the secretaries sometimes answered the medical questions or gave advice on the phone to avoid getting a Dr to return a call. That was an arrangement I wasn't comfortable with. I felt documentation was poor which is concerning. If your child is always healthy, it's a gamble. But if your baby or child has a medical issue or reaction that needs to be addressed...this is NOT the place to go for medical attention, care or advice. The office looks presentable & clean with short wait times...but those were the only positives. read more

Very sad to see the poor reviews on here. I had been a patient myself here for 16 years and I now travel from Tonawanda to Lancaster Depew Pediatrics for both my children due to the great experience I always had as a child here. My sister does the same for my nephew. I still get excited bringing my children in to see which wallpaper room we get. I have been late more than once and have not had an appointment rescheduled. I have come in early and been seen right away. I have never had to wait long at all. The front desk women are not rude or lazy. Have never gotten that vibe. My daughter is usually seen by Dr Davis and my son is usually seen by Dr Rabice. If they weren't available, I would be comfortable with any of the doctors there seeing my kids. They are one of the few pediatricians that still come to the hospital to see your child as a newborn. Every doctor I saw as a child and now see as an adult for my kids has been attentive, knowledgeable and goes out of their way to answer questions we may have. I enjoy that the doctors have over 20 years experience, I feel that my children are in great hands. I stand by my choice in pediatricians for my kids and will recommend them every time. read more

I would offer a solid "A" for friendly but, unfortunately, a solid "F" for competence. This is not our first poor experience but it's the one that sent us packing. My daughter had mono in February and recovered after missing weeks of school. When her symptoms came back in June I called and was told by one of the doctors that "it is impossible to get mono twice." It would appear that the larger medical community (including the Mayo Clinic) disagrees with the learned doctor. After a few days of suffering my daughter was seen. Without benefit of a mono screen or even taking her temperature, another of the doctors proclaimed the culprit to be nothing more than the common cold. Thankfully the staff at WellNOW paid attention to the symptoms and history. Actually determined that she had a fever and thought it medically prudent to administer a simple test which proved positive for mono. When I brought this to the attention (in writing) of Lancaster Depew Pediatrics, I was ignored...until I received the bill medically coded 99213 which the AMA describes as an "Office or other outpatient visit for the evaluation and management of an established patient, which requires at least two of these three components: An expanded problem focused history; An expanded problem focused examination; Medical decision making of low complexity." Sadly, the only prong of the three exercised in this instance was the one requiring decision making of low complexity. After I received the bill, I called. They never knew anything about my written inquiry. They saw her. They did their job. They expect to be paid irrespective of incompetence or outcome. What did WellNOW tell us to do differently than they would have? They understand that it's our prerogative and right to seek medical treatment elsewhere (a response that I found oddly calm and probably one used often). These professionals completely missed the point. Final outcome? Did they apologize for or recognize their incompetence? No. Did they agree that circumstances made it appropriate to remove the $74.78 charge from the account? No. It's not the 75 bucks but rather the principle. Sadly, I would have to rate principle and medical complexity for this practice equally low. read more

When I was pregnant, my husband and I did our research, asked friends and family for whom they used as a Pediatrician. We even interviewed a few. After careful consideration, we chose Lancaster-Depew Pediatrics. We met with Dr. Rabice and felt comfortable in our decision. When my baby arrived, Dr. Elizabeth Davis came to the hospital and performed the circumcision. Over the years, we have brought our growing child to the clinic for everything from vaccinations to ear infections. We were pleased when they moved off of Central Ave to the new building on Genesee Street with it's beautiful building and ample parking. Even when moved farther away to Corfu, NY And now we live in North Tonawanda, I believed that my son received the best care there and kept taking him to the doctors whom have known him since day 1. My 16 year old son was scheduled for his yearly checkup today. I work in Wheatfield and my son attends North Tonawanda High School. I hustled out of work, picked up my son and headed for the doctor's office. I knew that time was short and decided that the thruway would be backed up with traffic. I took back roads and drove as quickly as I could, speeding across 2 counties, in order to make good time. We were less than 5 minutes away when I called them and told them I was down the street and would be there in a few minutes. The woman on the phone told me that I was 4 minutes late and she would have to check with the doctor to see if he (Dr. Rabice) would still see my son. She returned to the phone and told me that we would have to reschedule. I lost it! By the time I got off of the phone from arguing with the woman with her putting me on hold again, I was in the parking lot!! I told her that if the doctor couldn't be bothered to see my son after we have traveled from NT, I wanted his medical records. We walked in the office, I was presented with the form requesting his records to be transferred. I was given his vaccine records and told the rest would be mailed. I made eye contact with a woman that was seated in the waiting room and said, out loud, "don't ever be late and don't think your business and loyalty are appreciated. 16 years as a client and I get refused took be seen for being 6 minutes late!!! " I work with appointments in my profession, too. I would NEVER refuse to take an appointment if they are 10 minutes late because of traffic and travel time, especially if I know they are traveling a distance to see me. I feel it is totally unprofessional! There have been times over the years where I have waited LONGER than 10 minutes for the doctor to see my son, but of course, A MEDICAL DEGREE allows you to feel your time is more precious and important than the patients you serve. I will share this review on every review site I can find! I'm disgusted and super pissed off! 6 minutes!!! read more

I Love Lancaster Depew Pediatrics! I went to them when I was younger and now my 3 kids do as well! I have never had an issue with them, even when I was running late. They are quick to call back when you have worries about your kids! Dr appointments are pretty quick yet thorough. I will always bring my kids to them. When I was in the hospital pregnant with my first son, my fiancé was in the room, I was not, and Dr Terranova remembered who I was by the paperwork and stopped in to say hi! The worst office don't go there!!!! they don't help you they don't the secretaries are mean lazy and won't do a thing to help you or your son!!! My advice go somewhere else!!! They don't give you notes for school they don't fill out paperwork that the school ask for and requires!! And it's never there fault!!! Pam M. is way off. I have brought my kids (all 4 of them) to Lancaster-Depew Pediatrics for 21 years. My oldest is 23, my youngest is 7. First, there are 4 doctors, actual licensed DOCTORS, no nurse practitioners, no drs assistants, you'll see a DOCTOR every time... A caring, dedicated doctor. Where do you find that anymore? Second, I've never once waited in that office. Never once... If you're appt is for 3:00, you're in the office by 3:00, if not before. Third, there's a sign on the wall that says "Our Dr's work hard to be on time, we expect the same courtesy. If you're going to be late, we reserve the right to reschedule your appt." It's been there the entire 21 years my children have been patients there. It hung on Central Ave, and it hangs on Genesee St. Knowing that, YOU are responsible for getting there on time. You know from how far you're traveling, who's responsibility is it to allow enough time? The drs should change a long standing rule to accommodate you? They should make everyone else late, because you're 6 minutes late (which we all know was probably an underestimate). Why? Are you the Queen of England? To leave a drs office that gives top notch care, never makes you wait (thanks to their own rule, which you Pam M, broke), and you see a DOCTOR every time, due to something that was your own fault, is pure idiocy. If they made an exception for you, they'd have to make it for everyone. Kinda self righteous of you. Good luck finding anyone even close to them. You cut off your nose to spite your face. read more

Pam M needs to schedule her time better. I have brought my children to Lancaster Depew pediatrics since they were born. 6 and 3 year old. some may think that's not long enough to give a proper review. Well, I was a patient until I became an adult, so dr. Terranova and Dr. bezbatchenko have been my peds since the late 80's. (After my mom switched us there from some other ped.) They are professional, caring, patient and knowledgeable. They always operate with the child's best interests in mind, and I've never had scheduling problems. I was late once, and I called on the way. No problems. The best resource is the doctors when you need them most, a weekend evening when your infant has a fever. Every single time I've called panic stricken, the doctors have walked me through the issue and made myself (and my children) feel a lot better. (Dr. Rabice's is particularly skilled at this, although they're all great). I feel that my opinion as a parent is taken seriously every time, and I look forward to bringing my children there until they're too old to go. read more
