In fact, I was quite satisfied with the alteration and particularly liked how the owner counseled me on what method would yield the best results. On another occasion I came here to have my bespoke-tailored Indian wedding outfit dry cleaned. The store owner warned me that since it didn't contain a label of cleaning-instructions, he could not guarantee that dry-cleaning would be the correct procedure...but he said that the fabric seemed to call for this cleaning-method nevertheless. In the end, it all turned out fine. However, I was not happy that he charged me for this unusual outfit twice the price than for a normal suit. Oh well... Also, I like the fact that the tailor is working right there in the shopwindow! That makes the work so much more authentic and hands-on.

I took my suit (a Savile Row one) to Soleil as I had a wedding to go to so was short of time, and…read moreit needed altering, I normally go to a specialist but with time restraints I couldn't get there. I was assured that I would get a call to let me know if it could be done, but received no call at all. When my friend collected it I was horrified, there are deep creases down the back of the jacket, but the trousers were worse, there was white taping put inside, that showed from the outside, there was bits of cotton still in where they had unstitched, and there were all holes from where they had unstitched. It was absolutely shoddy work and terrible. I took the suit, when I returned for the wedding, to my usual tailor who was astounded at the work, he said the material of the trousers was bad as rather than unstitch it properly they had unstitched a bit and pulled the rest, making the stitch holes so prominent, and that the tape was there as where they had pulled the material they have weakened it, he has stated categorical that they should have made the alterations from the side of the trousers and not the back, and that the jacket should have had a heavy steam to get rid of the marks, although he would have taken out at the side, so I have paid Soleil to completely ruin a £1000+ suit and now paying again for a real tailor to fox Soleil's horrendous work. I emailed and complained to Soleil and the owner responded stating that it is not bad tailoring and blaming the suit instead of accepting responsibility, when I replied to their email they did not even bother to reply to me. In summary I cannot recommend Soleil and would advise to avoid it like the plague if you value your clothes.

They've tackled some larger laundry issues with grace and ease and will work to get it "right". They have taken exceptional care when working with delicate garments and their flatwork for sheets and linens is excellent. We also think their prices are in line with other quality cleaners. For clothes of any quality, this is not the place for you. Here is a list of the damage they caused to my clothes: - heat marks - discolouration - loss of shape due to heat - chips on buttons I've attached some photos for you to see for yourselves how they give back clothes after service. I strongly advise against this dry cleaners, and there is plenty of competition in the area so take your pick.
