I've never had withdrawals, but I'm terrified. He walked out whole I was talking to him. I am hoping this gets addressed quickly. Prior to being taken on as a patient, I was suffering from debilitating pain which would land me in the ER twice, sometimes three times a week. It kept me from being able to perform simple, menial household chores - checking the mail, washing dishes, even sweeping and vacuuming were extremely taxing on my person. It was an exercise in futility trying to find a comfortable position to sit or lay down just to relax and good, quality, restorative sleep was nearly impossible and generally only achievable once I was utterly exhausted, and if I was lucky enough to catch a break from the pain I was experiencing. From the first visit, my quality of life made a complete 180 degree turn. I was finally able to get to sleep at night, I could mow my lawn, sweep the kitchen, vacuum the hallway, walk my dogs, make a satisfying meal and do a multitude of things most people don't even think twice about. Exact words from him was stop at 2 mg and you might feel something and the urban legend that it's harder to get off than heroin well I never done heroin but I'm going on three and a half weeks since my last dose which I went lower than they recommended was 2 mg I got it down to .5 mg and still having withdrawals. They never once educated me on that drug they just threw me on it and didn't tell me nothing other than the urban legend is BS. Do not go Dr amen is intelligent he knows what he's doing he knows how to get people addicted he likes to bump fist as in saying hello he tells jokes to make you feel comfortable and the next thing you know you're hooked on this horrible drug. Through a google search I was able to find Dr. Jeffrey Moscow. I liked his philosophy of care - very impressive - so I gave him a try. I have seen him three times now and am sold. He has ultra modern equipment and sophisticated technology. He spends a lot of time with me and does not seem rushed. Louisa, the receptionist is very kind and pleasant. I told them I get that way sometimes from perfumes and I have a partially collapsed lung but it didn't matter. I only started feeling a bit wheezy after entering the office. As I was leaving the girl was telling the poor old man left in the waiting room that he would have to leave and reschedule as well because he had watery eyes like a lot of old people do. He was trying to tell them that it was a chronic condition that he had. Because I am disabled it is very hard for me to get to Drs appts. It costs me money and I have to be ready 1 & 1/2 hrs early and wait an hour to be picked back up.
